He had multiple pass plays where he looked rough like this. The run game was even worse. Overall I would say it is an extreme stretch to say he even had a solid half…much less “great”.

Kevin Donnelly Said Rhule Was Livid at the Half
WarPanthers89 replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
7 penalties will do that at the half. Most were on our O line. -
I correct myself, he had one but another one was called on the TE when it was Christensen who flinched hard at the same time (Smitty pointed it out in the broadcast)
-
It absolutely has the potential to be. Overall depth….no question this is the best we have ever had.

It does not happen often, but I totally disagree with you. He had multiple penalties, and got overwhelmed in the run game big time. He was….okay in pass protection, but multiple times PJ had to roll out of the pocket to avoid pressure. I will agree that the right side looked better than the left, but it was not a great first half.

He will barely see the field this year. CMC will more than replace Samuels role/production. We have the benefit of having an actual threat at TE this year along with another more talented WR in Marshall compared to last year.

Very excited to see the young talent on our team in this first preseason game. I see depth in areas I was previously concerned about, but the one area that is a glaring weakness is still Left tackle. We know what we have in Moton, but Trent Scott looked completely lost today, and Christensen was just as bad. Erving has already been injured in camp and even if healthy he’s a huge question mark. It’s very likely that he misses time in the regular season, and whoever replaces him with be a massive liability and could single handedly give us a loss. Do we use some of that extra cap and bite the bullet even though we know Okung himself would be a question mark? What say ye Huddle GM’s?

Lol at people who overreact to this. Moton didn’t start his first year and I think that turned out just fine.

Happy hump day to you all. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water today (at least 8 glasses) and take your vitamins. -
“Congratulations! You increased your rank to TROLL!”

I like Daley but he has shown zero ability to stay healthy and be a dependable starter for us

It’s sad that last year out expectations were so incredibly low that we all rejoiced when Scott performed at a level where Teddy didn’t get smashed play after play. He wasn’t good as a LT, but played well enough to allow about 3-4 seconds some time. I believe Scott is a good versatile backup but he’s definitely not starting LT material.

I would love to have Brady C on the right, and Moton on the left that way we are set for the next 4 years at tackle and we have 4 really good young candidates at G on cheap deals. Realistically I think we go into the year with Erving at LT, unknown at LG (hopefully one of the rookies), Paradis at C, John Miller at RG and Moton at RT.

Panthers Training Camp Thoughts and Musings - Monday Edition
WarPanthers89 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be fair…last offseason Teddy looked great in camp so take the first week of practice without pads with a grain of salt. That’s what training camp is for…to work out the issues. Mahomes threw 3 picks in camp and I doubt he has issues like that in the regular season. -
I would go all in on Moton to the left and Brady Christensen on the right side to develop him. He is 24 and a third round pick, and if he can hold down the right side, the future of our like looks very bright as we already have multiple players who can be a good guard and quality depth at tackle at that point (Erving as backup LT, Trent Scott as backup LT/RT) If Brady develops into a good starter you have your ends set for the next 4+ years and very good young talent at G.

Any word on Christian Miller

I meant it like he’s not making an impact on our team regardless. I know who he is and I doubt he makes the team. -

Bring on the competition. It will only make us a better team.
