This is funny….even the threads I started, claiming he was absolutely worth the trade. He absolutely fell off a cliff. No one could deny that his first three to four games he looked good, but damn I’ve never seen anyone regress as bad as he did after that.

If we can hold the other team below 3 points we stand a chance.

Keep Pounding is gone Panther fans!
WarPanthers89 replied to BurnNChinn's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s literally the only thing we have. Such an easy fix and it shows that they do not listen to fans opinions….it takes no effort to keep this as in stadium experience. Don’t talk to me about fans still being able to create it on our own, teams are supposed to make a big deal about this not just the fans….all team do it except us now apparently. -
They already have quit on him, but I agree we have to try one of the other guys

Please tell us you have heard something about Brady being fired and Darnold getting benched.

So are we allowed to use the T word and focus on the draft?
WarPanthers89 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
This franchise has been boring for years. It’s sad -
Here comes elf on the shelf to make us realize how bad he is compared to Paradis (and that’s a very low bar to beat). I do hate Paradis got hurt like that though.

Checked out for the rest of the season

You are prob right. I hate this team and love it so much lol -
I have supported this team every day since I was a child through money, time, etc (I check this board multiple times, every single day of the year even if I’m not posting) but I am done for the remainder of the year. This is as depressed I have been about our franchise since we had Jimmy the pickle. Our team has a ton of potential, and I have always believed we were one offseason away from getting our O line corrected and really competing for a playoff push, but after watching our absolute disaster decisions at QB the last two years I believe we are much closer to being the new Jets than we are being a competitive team. We are the bottom of the barrel in our own division and terrible teams throughout the NFL look like they are in another league compared to us even when they have a starting QB out (we have scored one TD the last three games). I hope we can win some time in my lifetime, but it seems like we are years away right now. It’s a sad sad time to be a Panther fan.

CMC just got activated and Sam cleared the protocols.

You can tell that we have core leaders on each level currently on the defense which is why they are thriving. Reddick, DaQuan Jones, Shaq, Gilmore, Chinn, even Jackson is coming along from a vocal standpoint.

OBJ on waivers and the Panthers…
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Listen kid…..I’m not questioning OBJ’s talent. I’m also not comparing his talent to Norman either. I’m saying he’s a locker room distraction, a cry baby, and he played one of the dirtiest games I’ve ever seen by a WR against my team, which makes him trash in my eyes. You are obviously an OBJ fan and that’s fine, but I have my opinion as well. So go suck an egg and watch some OBJ highlights to brighten your day. -

OBJ on waivers and the Panthers…
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I am still salty, and will forever not like him because of that game. He played as dirty as I have ever seen a WR play before and is a huge crybaby. He is not good for team chemistry and I believe his record proves that I am right. I won’t even touch your comment about Norman “instigating” headshots. -
Reddick is getting PAID

OBJ on waivers and the Panthers…
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
He may not be claimed at all. In my opinion he shouldn’t be claimed but I bet the Saints get him. Fug that guy…I’ll never forget him taking headshots on Norman and screaming on the sidelines like a man child.- 80 replies

I say HELL NO to this, but figured I would post to bring up discussion. Riot posted this earlier:

What about drafting Mac…letting him sit for a year behind Darnold or Teddy, then let them walk and Mac starts next year after we have another offseason to build the line? For the record I’m still happy we selected Horn. I think he will be a future all pro at his position. Just throwing these questions out for debate.
-
Simple question….looking back, would you pick Jones at number 8 overall rather than Horn? It’s easier to say Mac now because Horn has been out for us, but remember he looked like an absolute monster before the foot injury and our defense completely changed when he went out. What would you do huddle gm’s? Article: Matt Rhule and the rest of the Panthers’ coaching staff had a chance to get an up-close and personal look at quarterback Mac Jones during the Senior Bowl in January. While Rhule came away impressed with the former Alabama passer, the Panthers elected to trade for quarterback Sam Darnold and select cornerback Jaycee Horn at No. 8 overall. Now Rhule will coach against Jones in Sunday’s matchup between Carolina and New England. He told Patriots reporters on Thursday that Jones handled everything well at the Senior Bowl and it took about 10 minutes to see he could be successful at the highest level. “To me, no matter where Mac ended up, I knew he was going to be a longtime pro, because he just has all the right qualities and all the right things that are essential to being a great player,” Rhule said, via Zack Cox of NESN. “That was evident to me from the very beginning.” Rhule noted that he’d spent some time trying to recruit Jones while at Baylor. And when Rhule coached Jones in January, he saw solid traits. “He’s just got juice,” Rhule said. “Spending time with him, you could tell he loves football. He just won the national championship game and he’s out there practicing with us. “You could see how intelligent he was the first day. We put a lot of install in, a lot of words in, just to see if they could recite it, and you could see pretty quickly he had a feel for the game. He had some moxie, and he was really, really intelligent and accurate and could throw the deep ball at a high level.” Jones has piloted the Patriots to a 4-4 record, completing 68 percent of his passes for 1,996 yards with nine touchdowns and six interceptions. Darnold, who may not play this week with a concussion, has completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards with seven touchdowns and eight interceptions. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/11/04/matt-rhule-i-knew-mac-jones-would-be-a-longtime-pro-no-matter-where-he-ended-up/

I think I came across too strong earlier. I still think this thread is garbage….but to say something nice, I can say I appreciate the time and effort in making the photo shop pic of Burns.
