  1. What about for a trade down and pick up another position while gaining additional picks, then signing big man brown as a solid vet stop gap for a couple years? I agree with your opinion as well but I’m not sure I’d be mad if we landed someone like brown and filled other holes in the draft.
  2. To fill another need on the team (QB, DE, etc) But sign this man to a 2 year contract…..honest opinions only. GO………
  3. I hope Tepper is just F’ing with all of us and is trolling. “Sam is very good”, “Rhule will get 5 years to build”…just saying super positive things to the media, knowing it’s bull. If he’s serious…….whew.
  4. True and I believe a player is much more likely if we were to go that route. Fitt has been very vocal about protecting future picks which is….refreshing. I believe they all realize what the Sam trade did to us.
  5. I think it’s definitely option A to trade down. The problem is everyone in the league knows our game plan and top need. We don’t even need to lie or throw out smoke screens because anyone can see our only three options and we don’t want to stay at 6 unless one of the 2 top LT’s fall to us.
  6. If we go LT in round one I’m good with anything else we do as long as we don’t risk high future draft picks. Makes you wonder if we could pull it off because Fitt said yesterday he has already told teams he is not giving up future 1-3 round picks.
  7. I hope so. We haven’t drafted a 1st round linemen since the Bush administration.
  8. From Riot Report and Joe Person article via The Athletic: I’m told the Panthers have had difficulty reaching a consensus on how the quarterbacks stack up, not surprising given that there’s no Trevor Lawrence or Joe Burrow at the top of it. Again, that’s another reason to take a tackle in the first round — something the Panthers haven’t done since the Bush administration (the second one). After getting the tackle, Fitterer shouldn’t just kick his feet up and wait for Saturday to roll around when the Panthers pick again. To this point, Fitterer has been protective of future picks, telling teams he wasn’t interested in giving up a 2 or 3 in 2023 to move up this year. He also said there are a couple of quarterbacks the Panthers would feel comfortable taking at 6, which very well could have been a smokescreen. But there are quarterbacks they’d feel better about in the second round, including North Carolina’s Sam Howell and, presumably, Kenny Pickett and Malik Willis if one of them were to drop (Willis probably won’t get past the Steelers at 20). Option B (or is it C? D?) at quarterback is to get through the draft and see if the price has dropped on Jimmy Garoppoloor Baker Mayfield, or if San Francisco or Cleveland would at least be willing to kick in some cash. As he did before free agency, Fitterer pointed out the cost effectiveness of drafting and developing a quarterback. When evaluating veteran QBs versus rookies, Fitterer said teams also have to ask themselves why some of these guys are still available.
  9. Good. Fitt and Morgan are the only two mother fuggers on the team that I trust to run an NFL Franchise. Let him have every ounce of power and get rid of the used car salesman
  10. Rhule is dodging all press. He’s ready to collect his cash this year, underperform, and get right back to college where the used car salesman act works on kids who don’t have a choice.
  11. Heeeeeeeelllllll naw. No way I’d trade next years 1st for any reason. We will have a new coach next year coming in without a 1st round pick which very well could be top 5 with Rhule’s track record.
  12. I’m good with LT at 6 or QB if we trade back. Give me any of the top 3 tackles of this class and it will be a success
  13. If we were to go QB I want Willis, but only if we red shirt him. If we drafted Willis and I was GM, I would sign Duane Brown for LT starting role, sign QB Fitzpatrick, and let Fitz and Darnold battle it out for starter, Willis is third string this year, and franchise leading QB next season. For the record I want LT at 6.
  14. In before someone says “Not Panthers related, mods please lock thread” Happy Easter.
  15. Lol he post like this at least 23 times every day. This is not related to anything going on with the Panthers
  16. Fire this fug. It was time for us to move on from Rivera but at least the league respected us when he was our coach. Was a terrible hire Rhule was. I hate what the team has become.
  17. I’m 100 percent behind a QB at #6 overall if we get a vet LT to partner with Christensen at LG. Then our line is complete AND we have hope for the future at QB. Start Darnold until the rookie is ready, and we are off to the races. The rookie will have good skill position players and a decent line at that point
