  1. We are eating dead cap during our new franchise QB’s rookie year so that we can capitalize in year two. Currently sitting at 156 million which gives much more flexibility for the future. We are setting it up the right way
  2. I guess for me this is the most excited I’ve been with the combination of coaching staff from top to bottom, paired with the number 1 overall pick and our new franchise QB. Cam was not set up for success the last time, but I feel this time it will be different. For the first time in team history we have an offensive coach with amazing senior and young coaches. We have the capability to be very strategic next year with much more cap space. It seems like a true reset on our franchise after Rhule and land of re tread QB hell that we have had to endure.
  3. This year true….but this first year will be our new franchise QB’s first year. The expectations won’t be high but man next year will be sweet. He’s entering year two and we have plenty of cap space freed up and another 3 years on his rookie contract (4 with the tag)
  4. Get ready for the most exciting offseason in history folks. New franchise QB incoming on a rookie deal, an A+ coaching staff, and finally investing in our offense. We have a rock solid line, and have plenty of time to draft/sign in free agency. Imagine a world with CJ at QB, plus a great play caller, a good O-Line, Dalton Shultz at TE, a proven Vet free agent wide receiver on one side, A rookie 2nd round WR oozing with potential, TMJ, Shenault, Foreman back at RB, and a third year Chubba. Not a bad 1st year to start with. NOW: moving on from my excited rant, here is where we are on Cap: 2023 current Team cap space: $22,719,306 2023 Dead Cap: $48,105,708 (top player cost listed below) Money spent on Defense: $101,416,661 Money spent on Offense: $58,416,391 Money spent on special teams: $6,599,166 Top cap charges this year (listed below) ****2024 Team Cap Space**** $156,141,981 Id say plenty of money to spend on free agents to make up for no first round pick
  5. Jimmy G Is off the table (cost too much) but I can see a one year deal for Darnold, Jacoby, Tyrod Taylor type of vet that comes at a discount. We will spend most of our cap on Bozeman, and another target for our rookie such as Shultz, or another vet WR to pair with another weapon we draft with our high 2nd round pick
  6. So you think we made a franchise crippling move by trading DJ Moore instead of a 2025 first round pick? That is what was so horrible about the move according to you?
  7. That wasn’t a plan. The only thing you said was that you would tell them no to Moore. As a GM you are without a franchise QB. Without a franchise QB you stand no chance of having long term success (as we have all been able to see with life after Cam). Again I ask before this trade occurred, what would your plan be to fox our team if you were GM
  8. We are set up very very very well. Our cap explodes next season and we have more than enough cap space to spend on free agency to make up for our lost first round pick. My head is about to explode with some of the dumb negative posters on this board who are absolutely clueless (about 4 in total). Amazing coaching staff, rookie franchise QB, solid defense, good O line, and a ton of money in the bank. Things are amazing since we moved on from Rhule, it’s a completely different franchise now. It is a VERY exciting time to be a Panthers fan. Enjoy the ride everyone
  9. All you do is complain and talk Sh*t but you never answer the question. Get your head out of the sand and answer the question. What would you do to get us out of the Hell we have been in since Cam left us? How would YOU fix this franchise since you are in another level mentally than our entire coaching staff. I want to hear your plan that would be so much better than this “franchise crippling” move we just made.
  10. “Burrow is a one season wonder, Mahomes is a project and needs to sit a year to have a chance, Cam is a one read QB who is extremely raw….” You take your shot on your franchise QB or you have nothing. Saints will never sniff a Super Bowl with the new shiny vet 150 million dollar QB. We have some of the brightest minds on our coaching staff who specialize in developing QB’s. Our new QB coach just compared Stroud to Burrow. I trust whatever decision this staff makes compared to any other option.
  11. Lol dumb thread. I thought we had a source or some actual information when I read the title. This is not a tear down rebuild. We are going to be adding talent to build around a young rookie franchise QB. Absolutely zero percent chance Burns gets traded.
  12. Ask yourself from the opposite side though….why does A+ coaching staff feel that he’s worth trading away in order to get a guy who has everything they believe needed in order to turn him into a franchise QB.
  13. I had to stop reading the comments Because they made me so mad. It shows how little common sense exist in society. No way we got fleeced that way a win win for both teams. Only time will tell on the decision we make with number 1 overall, but by no means is this franchise crippled by having a rookie QB wage for the next 5 years, and only missing a 2nd and 1st round pick. I take that risk 10/10 times for a chance to get a franchise QB. Our running game was better after the CMC trade and I don’t believe it will be very hard at all to match DJ’s game impact which was not very high at all if you actually watched panther games (which 99 percent of the people making comments on that thread did not)
  14. Sign Bozeman, TE Shultz in Free agency, along with one vet like Hardman, Odell, Thielen, etc, draft a WR in round 2 which is a very high second. We still have TMJ and Laviska Shenault. That’s not bad we still have a pick in round round 3,4,4,5 and can get someone like Foreman back or draft someone in round 3
  15. For you suckas who haven’t seen his throws at the combine here ya go. It’s already been posted 74 times but worth watching it again. He is smoooooooooth
  16. Absolutely. People freaking out and free agency has not even started yet. We will fill plenty of holes (Shultz please) well before the draft, and we have many good draft picks to go. 2024 we have a ton of cap space so it the future is looking very bright.
