Keyshawn is the reason you became a Panther fan? I’m surprised you stayed with us more than season then! Lol no disrespect I was hyped when we originally signed him. I thought him and agent 89 would dominate the league. He was kissed at the panthers after we cut him and was definitely biased to us for a long time in his commentary. -
We are going to have a great core group of leaders on our team all throughout our rookie franchise QB’s contract.

Great read

Agreed. Draft setting up to be all offense with the early picks on QB and skill positions.

NOW CUT PAT AND THATS OVER HALF BOZEMANS SALARY THIS YEAR!!!

I see your clearly a glass half empty type of person -
Lol what did you take from his interviews? That we would be a 3-4 defense only? Modern innovating defensive coordinators use multiple fronts, and looks. Players like Chinn are extremely valuable because he can do so much for you as a coverage or in the box player. He will confuse the hell out of offenses and never leaves the field. Chinn can blitz, be great against the run, cover the slot, anything. https://www.footballstudyhall.com/platform/amp/2015/5/1/8528407/modern-defense-and-the-2-4-5-vs-the-3-3-5

How often does a modem nfl defense go heavy on CB packages and how often does a team on average line up in 3-4 base…..
-
Lol Chinn will be no backup you nutcases. He will rarely leave the field, the guy will play multiple roles/positions and make impacts as he can do almost everything. We have a creative coordinator and we rarely line up at base 3-4. Chin will play a much more similar role to his rookie year

Great structure. Easy out after year 2 (only 1.8 million dead cap) and little cap hit this year. Btw how do we get these contract details but still have not seen anything on shaq’s new deal???

Keyshawn has always pissed me off. He has had bias towards us since he was cut. To say we won’t be competitive and didn’t act like we could win the division because “carr” is laughable enough. -
Agreed. One year rental and would help our rookie QB as well.
-
I bet they are waiting to cut Pat if we are able to re sign Bozeman. If not we have him as insurance. Idk how I feel about restructuring Jackson but if they have a good target for our new rookie franchise QB that they would like to get in FA such as Shultz or another WR I say go for it

They didn’t watch games. Shaq and Luvu along with horn, Burns, Chinn, and Brown are a potentially great core with the right coordinator which we definitely have. This allows us to gain cap and keep stability in an area we need it. This allows us to focus more on offensive playmakers in free agency and the draft. Smart move. -

An updated look at our cap, and where we are spending it
WarPanthers89 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
We are not in a bad spot at all this year. I mean damn, the saints were over the cap 100 mill and just signed someone to a 150 million dollar contract. We have room this year for a few decent signings, and next year we have a ton of cap space with a franchise QB on a rookie deal
