Oh yes….he will be mine. Young is ours and it is a great feeling. What a dream scenario it is for him also, with our O line and this coaching staff we have put together. Panthers football in 2023 will be something we haven’t experienced in a looooooooong time…. Something exciting.

This is a good reminder to some of you you who like listening to the talking heads who give draft grades right after a player is selected, where they get extremely emotional and are screaming opinions like it is the gospel. I can already see multiple threads around the horizon from trolls who will disagree with a pick, and will go straight to “after draft grade” as evidence showing why they are right. That’s how he creates time in the pocket. He has amazing pocket awareness. People talk about how he had so much time to throw but it wasn’t because of his O line last season. The guy has been facing d linemen who have nfl size and weight and has been healthy because he does not look to scramble….he always has his eyes downfield and knows where the defensive weak spots are. Take the time to watch as many videos as you can, I assure you our coaching staff has and according to Scott F, it took him and Frank “less than 5 seconds” to both agree on who the pick was going to be.

You find one guy who has a different opinion and use that as ammo, the vast majority of football EXPERTS (people actually employed by a team) all agree Young is head and shoulders number 1 QB in this draft.
