I label people as negative when they have to jump in to any conversation about him and repeat themselves for the 500th time turning every thread in to the same discussion we've seen for 2 months.

So is there any decent OTA coverage anywhere? I suppose it's not too accessible but seems to be even less than expected. Guess it will be limited to the Panthers produced drama tomorrow.
-
In his final year of a contract we don't expect is very likely be extended. That he could have been a piece of the trading frenzy isn't that unexpected.

Salary cap, not cap space. Big difference.

Ole LG won't rest as long as there is an iota of non pessimism to be squashed. Call in Kunfoodude for reinforcement.
-
He was more suited to be a 3 tech given he wasn't particularly good at anchoring. His strength was his mobility for a big guy not being particularly stout.

Funny how we went from hating long routes to hating short routes.

That gives zero info about a given contract.

He really doesn't know.

Ron "learning from his mistakes" in Carolina
Moo Daeng replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Arguing about the past is noticeably more popular than current team events. -
You didn't know who he was until this post. Just stop.

He started 29 games

That started in 2011

In years of looking at them the only time I've seen a noteworthy difference is Ian Thomas situation

What we need to see from Sammy D in OTAs

Vocal isn't necessary based on history of successful QBs. The good ones generally haven't been terribly so. Most are more concerned with preparation than appearing to be alpha. The overly alpha thing hasn't actually worked took well. -

When you willingly purchase something it's no longer your money. Buying a car doesn't give you say in the company. Too funny. -

I believe an important key is Darnold and Brady being on the same wavelength. Their communication might be what makes or breaks this situation -
High: DaQuan Jones will bring solid veteran play to a young line. He could be the leader of that young group and allow the talent around him to shine while also being a force inside next to Brown. Just what Brown and Roy and Nixon might need to progress. Not sure: Darnold has the physical and mental ability to be a solid QB but hasn't yet. Low: Slye will cost us a game or 2 as usual.

RB/FB Roster Projections-Who Stays? Who Goes?
Moo Daeng replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do yall really think Tremble will be listed as a FB? We list him as a TE currently -
Cutting Ian Thomas saves 502k regardless of timing. Not 2 million Edit: there's a big discrepancy between OTC and Spotrac on this

Is PoutyNonno a frank alt?

Not to mention Wharton retired with him and likely because of the same situation. I was a DG fan at the time but he did a lot of boneheaded things and was not liked. I have a much different opinion in hindsight https://www.theringer.com/2017/7/20/16078316/carolina-panthers-gm-street-dave-gettleman-fired-3f39c2941f7a "People remember when Steve Smith left in 2014. People remember DeAngelo Williams. But I think the biggest [issue] that has really been under the radar was the whole Jordan Gross situation. For people that aren’t familiar with that, Jordan Gross was a left tackle for the Panthers. He had been there for a long time. People loved him in the community. Gettleman comes in and restructures his contract in 2013, and Jordan Gross isn’t very happy about that. He ends up retiring in 2014, which [hurts] the team, and sort of hurts Gettleman. And that was one of the first little feelers into the fact that maybe Gettleman and the Panthers organization weren’t quite in line with their thinking."

It's a shame Gettleman ran off Smith and Gross. We likely win that SB with them playing. And this isn't a pro Hurney statement. Just an observation of our weaknesses that game.

Just because my life doesn't revolve around a former player for my local football team doesn't mean I hate him.

I cannot wait for the over produced throwing motion reveal hype video.
