Report: 49ers called Panthers about Teddy Bridgewater
Moo Daeng replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
All we have to do is cut him and we save some. At worst 2 million if done now. Trade would obviously help more but we aren't exactly upside down in terms of his cap hit currently. -
Of course the QB is important but it's just too obvious that it takes a lot more than that when God's potential gift to the Panthers won 4 games this season with a different bad team.
-
That butthole team won more games than Watson's butthole team this year.
-
He likes golf. They paid well. Seems to be all you need to know.
-
Well that's boring. But sure beats living in Buffalo or Cleveland or Green Bay

NBC's Peter King wont be suprised if Mac Jones goes ahead of Lance

I believe it's prudent to wait until just before the draft get emotional about selection speculation. -
He's not fragile either. I don't believe any of his injuries can be attributed to stature and has missed 1 game since his ACL which was as much about resting in the final game before the playoffs. I think people get caught up in Wilson's face. I am not advocating for Wilson specifically.

I wouldn't be too concerned that 5 lbs makes him slight compared to Watson.

There is talk that in early April the players who would have been invited to the combine will take part in medical exams via independent doctors wherever they are training. So this could be when these measurements are taken.

So much for all the comments about nobody calling about him. As usual they were only based on a desire to be negative. -
A new fire to the Watson drama (per Jason la Canfora)

It means some guy who makes a living on Twitter needs something to tweet about today. -

We were supposedly looking to bring Easterby in a few years ago. They aren't close enough to have made that happen...thank goodness. -
Where there's smoke there might be fire. There's just too much info like this to blow it off. https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/article/qb-klassroom/quantifying-quarterbacks-trey-lance

It's really not that hard to understand. But you seem to really be struggling with the situation as if you dont read anything before reacting. The same person reported they have no plans to trade and that they should. How is this hard to understand or indicative of being a mouthpiece? It suggests the opposite.
-
Heard another reference to him expected to go 15-32. If we could trade back and get him I'm happy.
-
I cant say any of this does anything but lower my respect for Watson even if has some justification.
-
I have a very hard time believing that a GM told Fowler what they plan to do in any capacity much less regarding a blockbuster trade. This sounds like a misquote of what was likely a discussion that was using speculative exaggeration for emphasis.
-
LOL. Kiper endorsed Mahomes. Luckily the scouts don't just base judgements on simple criteria like yours.
-
Then you have other sources saying that the executives they talk to believe Lance a second half of first round guy. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

Good chance Cam will be Patriots starter in 2021

Given he only made about $1 million there isn't much potential there for a comp pick. It would be very easy to cancel him out with any signing. -
I see them saying both. My point wasn't to judge his accuracy. It was to point out what the actual discussion of his accuracy is.
-
The analysts who mention his accuracy aren't necessarily talking about his completion percentage. They are referring to ball placement. His receivers are very commonly wide open. When they aren't placement matters a lot more.

I want 40 million a year too but I'm not going to get it either
