im sure we had trade conversations last year too. any GM would be a lame duck if he wasn't talking to all GMs at this point.

this confirms nothing. if Sewell or Slater is there was are stupid to trade back. UNLESS, we receive a 1st, 2nd, and 1st next year. even then we are trading away from a top talent in the draft to get more "pieces"

Ask yourself how much we used any TE last year.
Now remind yourself we just signed a capable TE this offseason.
Now picture the amount of holes we still have at other positions that we actually value.
The Pitts/Panthers reports are a hell of a lot of hype/smoke.
That said. I wouldn’t be upset with that pick. I just think it is less likely that he’s there or that we’ll pick him over other positions if he is.
I almost had him going to Miami. That could still happen and we’re not even debating this.
How do you know what we value?
"Ask yourself" how much we used Olsen when he was healthy? All the f'ing time. So we do value the TE position. We just do not value Ian Thomas, because he blows.

Difference is despite what people think Ryan Tannehill put up pretty good numbers and improved almost every year despite having a crappy team around him for most of that time and still learning the QB posting because he was a WR in college.
Tannehill's numbers declined his last two years in Miami. Darnold improved in his second year from his first. His third year he was hurt.

Its not a bad move for what we gave up. Draft picks are overrated. You win in this league by being aggressive. Titans fans were saying the same thing about Ryan Tannehill when they got him, blah blah, he sucks....
It has worked out for them and they are now contenders.

the CBA allows for suspension even if you are not proven guilty. its about your "personal conduct".

In this case, the allegations are coming from twenty-two sources.
Verge's source described the Watson situation as "nuclear", i.e. nobody's likely to touch it with a proverbial ten foot pole.
"sources" lol. you say that as these sources actually know what happened. the only "sources" are Watson and the women. not bogus journalist that just write what everyone else is saying. that is not a source. they do not know anything more than anyone else does. they are just reporting what they hear.

Be thankful that justice does not occur in the court of public opinion.
in the NFL it does though.

Depends on price, allegations are just allegations until proven.
unfortunately, that is not true in the NFL. Zeek was proven innocent and was still suspended. The NFL CBA allow that to happen.

present day you would have to be an absolute moron to trade for him.

Given today’s climate I can’t figure out why anyone would put everything at risk to get a massage. Going into a room with just the female where you strip down and she will be touching you. It can go sideways way to easily. I’m thinking a whole bunch of pro athletes are currently taking stock. My guess is more guys will start getting blamed real soon.
thats why I always choose a young, latino male

i hope its not true. all signs point to a clown show lawyer working in the best interest of himself. so nine women suddenly are coming out? not one had the courage to do anything last year.
im sorry but it takes no courage to report someone that whipped his cock out in front of you and you ran away? where is the courage behind that? but it takes courage now to try to hide behind a lawyer anony. to get 100k? thats justice? thats standing up for women everywhere?
no it signals to women--dont report it because you can get a payday later.

the lawsuit are available to read. i wouldn't go off what any journalist writes.

the allegations all seem B.S., especially, all brought by the same Plaintiff's attorney. What are the odds they all contacted his attorney. Now it is a mission for this attorney to make a killing off this. The attorney is likely recovering 40% of any settlement. The more women the more he has to gain.
I see it too much in my line of work. Rape allegations coming out a year later??
Flying someone from Atlanta to Houston to give him a message?

Its likely BS. I do what that plaintiff's attorney does for a living as well. Its all BS to get a pay day.

If we don't trade for Watson. What are your FA wants, taking into consideration where we sit in the draft and can possibly address there?
-
id give up C-Mac and 2-3 first but also get back 2 3rds.
-
id be okay with 2 first and CMC. if its 3 first and CMC we need a little bit of capital back in the draft. maybe a 3rd this year and 3rd next year.
CMC will kill our ability to pay our o-line to protect Watson if we trade for him. Say we trade CMC and then have the money to sign a Scherff or Thuney - we resign John Miller (who was actually pretty good), and pay Moton too. we suddenly have 3 of 5 good NFL starters on the oline and then find a fit at LT finally.
-
Weatherly is a no-brainer cut. So are Ian Thomas and Palardy. not much but they save another 4 mil.

the philosophy is easy - pay someone next to nothing.
if your star QB goes down you are not winning. Foles was an exception.
Burn the season and get a rare high pick
-
Ronalde Moore or Elijah Moore if we are looking to replace Samuel's skill sets. But it will likely cost us a 2nd round pick. A guy later in the draft I like is Whop Philyor, Indiana.

Chris Godwin of the Bucs likely to become a FA, would he fill the bill? And don't forget we still have the kid from Ark. coming back who was so impressive early in training camp last year.
you want to pay him 17 mil a year?

our trade back value

My gut tells me if Sewell and Pitts are both gone we are trading back. The three likely candidates are NE, Chi, and Wash.
What can we get from each team?
You have to think a 2021 and 2022 1st and a 2021 2nd?
Maybe we ship a 4th this year or a 3rd next year too?
