Give me your late round I hope we draft this guy sleeper pick
shaq replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Romeo Dubbs, he is such a solid prospect 6’2, 205. Great route runner, solid athlete, high character guy. If he gets drafted anywhere late he will out preform his draft stock. -
Could we really pick something other than QB or o-line at 6?
shaq replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Evan Neal- OT Ikem Ekwonu- OT Charles Cross- OT Aidan Hutchinson- DE Tyler Linderbaum- C Kyle Hamilton- FS/SS/LB ideally we get one of those 3 awesome tackles, but any of these 6 players I would be totally fine drafting. If we could trade back and take Linderbaum I would love it, even at 6 I would be fine with the pick. -

I get that but to optimize draft resources that is not the way to go especially in our draft pick situation. -
Maybe this is to avoid getting rid of any comp picks? Instead of signing one of the better te in free agency, we resign in house players. I gotta feeling Reddick is gone and we want that comp pick, especially after our horrible mess of mid round picks this year. There’s a chance this contract works out fine.

Well, here's something different. Remember J.T. Ibe? I didn't.

Sad story, mistakes happen but as a fringe player you gotta do everything right to have even a chance. -
Most under appreciated player on this team. Am I the only one who remembers our last playoff game years back agains the Saints? Our starting wide receivers that game were (Devin Funchess, Kaelin Clay, Brenton Bersin, and Russell Shepered) not a single NFL caliber WR in that group. Had we had DJ Moore back then we would have won that game, ironically that game is a big reason we drafted DJ Moore.

I’m sorry I haven’t heard of this. Can you explain this rule to me?
-
Most players who hit free agency aren’t young long term players. Every once in a while you can find one.
-
Eh kind of tired of continually kicking the can down the road. This isn’t really a win now year anyway(besides for rhule), besides a splash oline signing I don’t really expect or want much. Let’s develop this young team.

Yeah you dont get rid of players who consecutively go over 1000 yards yearly. Also, only four WR's currently make 20 mill or over(Amari, Keenan, Julio, Hopkins). I look at players like Chris Godwin(15 mill), Kenny Golladay(18 mill), I think Dj will get between those ranges. And he definitely deserves it I would be happy to sign him to even a 20 million a year contract. Robby makes 14 million yearly, those are the contracts you avoid. Thats where you waste your cap signing one year wonders to overvalued contracts, resigning your 24 yearold star receiver is the right move. You resign your good players its how you create and maintain a good roster. Letting stars go without any massive reason, in return creating massive voids hoping draft picks which statistically highly flop is how you ruin your roster. Were DJ moore away from Robby being our #1 WR... let that sink in

I hear you man, im not saying DJ is a perfect player he definitely has things he needs to work on. I just think hes a too proven of a commodity to move on from and create a big hole we would need to fill. First round picks can flop, knowing you already have a young star receiver is awesome. Good thing about Robby is he only signed a two year deal, and will most likely will get cut after next season.
-
Love this signing! Dude is young and is a solid player. Plays with real effort love to to it.
-
Around 4.5 mill a year for two years, honestly a nice deal.
-
First off you none of us have any idea what his asking price is your literally guessing. Secondly, to win football games you actually have to resign your talented players. Y’all really want to turn into the old Browns smh.
-
Yeah he’s worth even more then that.
-
Thank you sir. Literally was about to right the same exact thing, I really struggle to understand what it is with this fan base and their lack of appreciation of DJ. He has literally never in his career not gone gone over 1000 yards with the quarterbacks we have had rostered, he’s literally still 24 I don’t understand it. “Lack of killer instinct” “not a winner” guys I hate to break it to you but not every fuging wide receiver has to have the exact personality of Smitty to be a great wr. DJ is a star, a young star with no off the field issues or injury history can y’all get over yourselves finally?
-
Would probably take Mitch if we found a way to trade Darnold. Besides that really no point. None of those are gonna move the needle, rather getting us another 8-6th pick; missing out on the most highly regarded QB’s next year.

Riot: Panthers to take a major swing at QB?
shaq replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Please no more major swings at QB!! Rhule made his big swing!! If we had a new Head coach it would be a different situation. -
Agreed man! I’d rather have a young athetic LB that needs to learn the game then watch Carter get bulldozed over and and over again.
-
Clark and Smith both have a chance to be there with our fourth rounder. Things could change but a trade back could also net us some nice third rounders.
-
Draft Damone Clark or Brandon Smith. Then just let them develop throughout the year.
-
Off topic move if you have to but thank you.

Keep pushing man! We will never stop posting you will always have the huddle. -
I could get behind him as the pick.
-
I think we could all agree that would be a great hire.
