  1. NGL, I already decided not to renew my psls, this might cause me to become a casual sports fan. If you don't think this Watson crap will not set a tone in the future, get ready. Almost all top player contracts will include NTCs now. Watson got to play college recruit in the NFL. NTCs should not apply if the player REQUESTED a trade
  2. I find it more amusing the Texans are allowing Watson to LITERALLY bend them over. They let him make 2 vastly inferior offers his final 2 lol
  3. Seems to me the Texans seemingly don't give a crap about getting fleeced and are just wanting Watson gone. Just insane there seems to be no resistance from Houston when we have the best package.
  4. I'm seeing adds for corn on the cobb for some weird a$$ reason.
  5. You solve your needs by not spending 1 entire draft on one side of the ball then the 1st 2 rounds the following year on the same side of the ball. It would be so like us to spend 85% of our picks on defense and wonder why our offense sucks.
  6. At what point does our FO say enough is enough? Watson is elite, but if he isn't sold on being here to the point he's calling our rivals, we shouldn't give up a massive package.
  7. I don't think he wants to be on any of the 3 teams, Atlanta has no basis being in this and if the reports are true they're meeting with him tomorrow, Watson is trying to force his way in there. My point is we shouldn't give up this package if he's not all in, if he's contacting Atlanta, Carolina should get out.
  8. That's the thing that bothers me about this mess (and should bother Cleveland and NO).
  9. Then they're more then welcome to take the vastly inferior offer. Houston and Watson are turning this into a clown show, if Atlanta is getting involved, it is Watson orchestrating it.
  10. Exactly, it ticks me off were not playing this like we (agreed by every analyst in America) have the best offer. I was ok with New Orleans and Cleveland, but Atlanta being allowed an interview out of nowhere with no in stone offer to make or any clear-cut plan how to make Watson fit their cap or actually be an appealing destination to go is ridiculous. We need to threaten to walk away or Houston will not get our deal, we could spend that $35 million in Free agency, every day Houston and Watson drag this were getting screwed out of signing potential big name free agents and our GM has less time to focus on the draft. Atlanta being dragged in almost makes me not want him, if he ends up coming here, he's screwing himself from us putting a team around him cause many free agents will be gone.
  11. Imagine having the luck of the Saints to potentially have 2 franchise QBs in the span of 20-30 years and not have to draft either of them.
  12. I think it's time Tepper shows these balls his brass balls he brags about. Tell HOU take the deal or leave it, it is ABSURD Atlanta is going to be allowed to interview WITHOUT ANY REALISTIC CHANCE of being able to make a deal work cap and capital wise. This is like Houston giving Watson permission to let the Falcons screw them by low balling them. CLE, CAR, and NO have to be LIVID HOU is even giving Atlanta an interview without any sort of reported LEGIT OFFER. We need to get out of this crap if it's a 1 in 4 (if were lucky shot) there are still plenty of great FAs we can get, we have the best package, we need to act like it and threaten to walk away. I guarantee this Atlanta interview $hit would stop if that happened. New Orleans and Cleveland gave realistic offers, Atlanta is laughable and should be insulting to all 3 teams involved who want to get on with FA with or without Watson.
  13. It's not being bipolar, we are literally running our cap situation around getting Watson, people are frustrated because if we don't get Watson, we missed out on potential big name free agents we could've gotten.
  14. The difference is the whole reason we were the favorites to get Watson is our trade package being vastly superior. It sounds like Watson is getting a take your pick decision.
  15. My thing is if I quit watching, it will be me quitting watching the NFL, not me quitting on the Panthers. Seems to me like everyone just bows down to the NFL darlings, the Saints are seriously the favorites after just MERE DAYS AGO being -72 million under the cap. The Panthers spent wisely and had the space and best trade package to get Watson without manipulating the cap, and we get fugged. We can argue all day whether the Saints are big market or not, but they have hosted the 2nd most Super Bowls for a reason. If you think the NFL has no bias, Richardson was forced to sell the Panthers for being an 80 year old southern man on his 3rd heart acting like a pervert (which if you ask any nurse is common with people that age), while Bob Kraft got a BJ from a sex slave on camera and was allowed to keep his team and was barely punished. I'm not even angry about the no-trade clause, as much as I'd be angry the Texans just allow the Saints to fleece them over our package after Watson screwing them to begin with.
  16. It's simply gambling. Most teams just don't take it to the extent the Saints have. There has been no REAL economic recession since 2008 and the covid cap year the Saints had Brees willing to restructure to help them. The Saints are gambling the cap will go up every year, eventually a recession will happen and they will hopefully be in trouble if Goddell is not comish.
  17. My limit is if he chooses the Saints, if he goes to the Browns I'm good. We should seriously take Baker if they are going to win just to keep Watson out of the division.
  18. They'll convert everyone on their roster's salary to signing bonus and pull it off. Everyone else seems to accept it as smart, but the Saints are literally gambling the cap will go up whenever they kick the can. There WILL be a year they cannot field a team without being under and the NFL will let them off with a warning. If the Pandemic cap drop was this year it would've happened this year.
  19. I'm starting to see why Allbright has the Saints in the lead, the franchise is literally letting Watson take his pick lmao.
  20. If the report that recently came out is true that Watson gets to have his choice between the 3, it will likely be NO imo. No inclination from Watson has shown we are his #1 option.
  21. You can really tell who wants and doesn't want this trade to happen here haha
