Is it just me or I'd like to see Darnold under coaching that appears to be more competent then we've had in a long time? We just gonna ignore that guy brought us back from down 24 @Dallas last year and didn't get the chance to tie because the defense was gassed. Sam is arguably the only guy on the roster that has the physical talent to win anything along the lines of playoffs or anything else, I'd rather just see what we have in him Were a one and done team with P.J. if Sam comes out and balls out under what appears to be better coaching, we got a shot to have a respectable record. Sams the only QB On our roster who has any question... give him a shot and let's either win the south or have him help us get a great pick

Panthers win Sunday…1st place in the South
Chiefzack replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cleveland misses a 58 yard field goal on the road and things go a little different week 2, we're 4-3 ahead of Atlanta. Not saying that were even good, but I don't think we're much worse then Atlanta or TB -
Would you preferred Ben Navarro bought Panthers in 2018 ?
Chiefzack replied to Chris Smitty's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper had cash, Navarro had financing. Tepper was vetted, Navarro wasnt -
Itll be funny to watch the huddle explode if we win on Sunday and drop from #3 ovr to the mid 20s lol
-
Could all these trades not risk a lawsuit for Tepper by Wilks? If we wanted to lose, we would've been better off making Ben Mcadoo the HC...dumb idea by tepper to promote Wilks (who I'm pretty sure is apart of the Flores lawsuit) then give him 6 days to prepare for a game on the west coast and the next week trade all his players.

We got rid of an awful contract and took 3/7 of their picks. Panthers fans are so damn bi-polar. We had to ship his A$$ if you want #1 overall, we're finally rebuilding.

The crazy thing is we would be 3-0 with Cam Newton
Chiefzack replied to OneBadCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I found that statement outrageous considering his first start he took over a 5-5 team that was in the 6/7 wild card spot. Darnold didnt take a snap until we were already 5-8. While we all agree Darnold is not the answer, he got injured and left the Panthers firmly in playoff contention, he returned to a team who was already essentially eliminated. Cam also declined the Seahawk's offer who are 2-2 at the moment with Geno Smith. If Pete Carol wasn't good enough for Cam, I'd love to see who is. -
The second half is what I'm trying to convey, but people haven't been giving the offensive staff enough credit for the halftime adjustments. I've watched the huddle cry for years about 3 and outs, our offense came out in the 3rd last week and scored a TD, put the blame where it lies, the defense shouldn't be out of breath the first drive after halftime.
-
I'm not saying the offense is even good, I'm saying considering we are drafting defensive players at a 3-1 ratio in the early rounds compared to our offense... People whine and cry about this staff not making Adjustments and we've had 2 games in a row where our offensive staff has turned a lethargic offense around into coming back from 4th qtr deficits and giving us the lead. When we spend an entire year of draft picks on offense, we can critique Mcadoo and Mayfield as Rhule, Fitt, and Snow should be for failing to field a defense that can stop bottom 6 QBs in the 4th qtr after using a large chunk of our premium draft picks to have a dominant defense. There is ZERO excuse for us giving up 4th QTR leads to Jacoby Brissett and Daniel Jones, I expect mediocrity out of our offense as they've had very little investment into the unit.
-
When is someone going to talk about the fact that we have spent 80-90% of our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders (plus literally AN ENTIRE DRAFT YEAR) on our defense the past few years and the Mcadoo/Mayfield offense has given the defense a chance to win the game for us in the 4th QTR both games and we lost both? The giants game the offense came out scored a TD after halftime and the defense lied down and died and let the giants get it right back... the offense later gave the defense the lead and the defense gives it right back again. If with all the draft capital and FA money we've spent on defense we can't stop Daniel Jones and Jacoby Brissett when our offense gives us the lead in the 4th QTR, there's a problem there. Our defense is overrated, the offense is playing as they should be.

I wouldn't hold your breath, this organization doesn't do a good job keeping secrets.

The difference from what I understand is Watson wouldn't be appealing the suspension in court, but the idea of raising it from 6 games.
-
The NFL isn't appealing the games, but the idea that Watson cannot seek private massage therapy anymore. They're looking out for their player's best interests!

It seems Cam forgets the Panthers wanted to give him 2 years last year, he wanted 3 so they decided to settle on 1. He put himself in that crappy situation by agreeing to a deal that he could potentially look bad in, the Panthers essentially offered him the job for 2 years. The crappy situation he put himself in was not taking the 2 years (which I'm sure would've paid more $ then he will end up making) holding out for 3. At worst he could've blamed Rhule for starting Darnold in 2023 while making 10-15 million after Rhule gets fired.

Coming from someone who went to Clemson, I am not sure I want a guy who forces his way out of what he felt was a dysfunctional franchise to go play for a team who arguably is the worst franchise in not just the NFL, but all of SPORTS. The man literally called Atlanta (this has not been disputed by anyone) and had his childhood team trade their QB to go play for Cleveland. He could've came to Carolina or Atlanta and likely avoided 80% of the public pressure he's feeling now... He's taken some big hits over his career, I'm halfway concerned he has CTE.
-
Have we ever considered Watson mignt have CTE? The moves he's making surely look that way. Force your way out of what you call a dysfunctional organization to play for arguably the worst franchise in football?
-
It's not like it's just us, he screwed over the Browns and Saints too. I said 2 days ago we should've threatened to walk away if Atlanta wanted an interview that late in the process. IMO us, the Saints, and Browns were used as Falcons leverage. Zero chance Watson woke up on Tuesday and called Blank.
-
We should make 2 Gofundmes 1. To hire our own private investigator to investigate and get Watson charged after the Aints or Failcants give up 3 1sts+ 2. To get Garry Cobb some hearing aids.
-
Why the hell would we? Clearly the Texans let Watson boss them around and pick his team lol. If he wanted to pick us, then including players would be a moot point. The fact Atlanta was allowed in last second proves this.
-
He was out the minute he called Atlanta for a trade.
