Like the music, HATE the performance I want the SB show to give us a spectacle. This ain't it

A different edit was aired earlier this week. Found it funnier

PRINCE didn't ineed to ntro his half time performance by saying his performance would be the greatest halftime show ever. It just was. That one throwaway line has diminished my expextatuon for whats about to happen

Tottenham is throwing a suggestion out that they'd love to host a future Super Bowl. Biggest problem? The local game needing to start play at 11p London Time to air in US prime time source: https://frontofficesports.com/super-bowl-could-move-to-london-in-2026/

McCaffery's future could be.... movies?
PanthersATL replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
You're not wrong -
It may just be me, but watching the new trailer for Channing Tatum's new movie made me think that Channing and Christian could play brothers (or cousins?) in some entertaining action/buddy/comedy movie. Might require squinting at the screen when the film is slightly out of focus -- but.... maybe?

Nope, just the pro bowl. make that one fun.
-
I *want* the Pro Bowl to be a weekend of skill drill/showing off stuff and a flag football game for fun. No need for those guys to get a vacation where they have to hit each other for no real benefit. Make it fun, mic the guys up. Give awards/bonuses for winning individual challenges. See Jake in 2005: https://youtu.be/YMiOSSsmg0s?t=248

It could happen

If you're that invested in the game that you need the next day off -- chances are your manager will approve your vacation day or help with other arrangements. I know my crowd is supportive of individual's fandom -- was given some extra leeway during the 2016 game myself. But not everybody requires recovery time for a game that basically ends at 10p. That's no different from those late-night west coast baseball games that drag on past midnight on the east coast, or any number of March Madness basketball games on the opening Thursday Making a national holiday for a sporting event? Not likely

One of the "Super Bowl Saturday" threads, if you're interested
-
A survey run by MIBETS has found the following: 48% think the Super Bowl should be moved to Saturday (this has been discussed a lot here on the Huddle - find those threads for the reasons why it ain't going to happen) 40% say that halftime is too long 5% will watch at a sports bar. (which is weird, since you'd think that a sports bar would do more business on a major sports day) Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri are most eager to watch the game, with Kentucky, Mississippi, and Louisiana on the least interested list The most Google'd NFL questions, by state, include: Wisconsin: Who is Aaron Rodgers North Carolina: How many players on a football field South Carolina: Who is Jalen Hurts Delaware: Who is Matt Rhule source: https://www.mibets.com/super-bowl-questions-by-state-2022/

co-purchased 21 Regional Fox Sport networks and Fox College Sports. They've since been rebranded in 2021 as Bally Sports since the Fox name wasn't part of the deal. Doesn't mean your point isn't valid about being able to use the network in some fashion, even as a minority owner of them.

Panthers hint they are playing a regular season game in Munich
PanthersATL replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well --- the original Germany piece said that Carolina, Tampa, NE, and KC have rights to "market in Germany". Doesn't say they're the only teams that could play there. -
Cooking-related: Paprika App for recipes
PanthersATL replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
It is behind a paywall. But Paprika will import the recipe after you've logged into your account. We've found Paprika to be useful for being able to scale a given recipe to different serving sizes automatically, as well as help with those "oh, what do I need to buy" moments at the grocery store instead of having to pull up all those different cooking websites that we normally frequent. It's a great consolidator. Agree with your equipment commentary, but there's nothing wrong with having a single non-stick pan handy (like the 8" version in the "restaurant equipment" section of the local Sams Club) Plus, cooking can be fun. -
Cooking-related: Paprika App for recipes
PanthersATL replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
Paprika can import recipes from Cooks Illustrated and other online resources. While the CI app and website are fine on their own, having the ability to consolidate recipes in one place is a bonus. agreed with the rest of what you said about cooking at home = better food overall. -
Nicole Tepper has been named chief administrative officer of Tepper Sports and Entertainment. In her role, she will focus on growing a culture that values its people and partners, and further engrains the organization in the Carolinas community. She has played a key role with a number of philanthropic initiatives across the Carolinas on behalf of the Panthers and the David and Nicole Tepper Charitable Foundation. I'm okay with this. Run with it, Nicole.

Sean Payton Officially Steps Away From Saints
PanthersATL replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dear Saints: would you like to consider kicking the tires on a 2020 model? Barely used, low mileage, willing to sell cheap. Trade-ins accepted. -
I'm curious (as are others) about what Activision will do with their Infocom license. Zork, etc.

THAT WAS A FANTASTIC GAME. carry on
