Carolina Panthers @ Chicago Bears Gameday Thread
PanthersATL replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Did the fox announces just mumble that Bryce will come in and have a lot of sex, or a lot of success? They're horrible announcers, regardless, but you'd think as professionals they'd enunciate better -
And someone just made a way to tag your Bluesky user as a Panthers fan, to help find other Panthers fans easily without having to follow them individually

If you're looking for localized weather alerts on BlueSky (they've generally been more at the state or national level previously), they're available/listed here on a clickable map for you to subscribe to: https://nws-bot.us/

Friend of mine near Asheville with a check-in: We are ok. No power and it won't be back for a while. Got more gas yesterday for the generator. Roads are washed out. Trees and lines are down. Luckily no damage to our property. Cell service is spotty

I don't see any (American) Football Starter Packs of people/lists/feeds to suggest yet, although there are plenty of (European) Football Starter Packs, and at least one college football starter pack But there's plenty of conversations going around, so it's just a question of using feeds and search terms to start to find your niche of people to follow

Some sports venues get it. The Masters is known for super cheap food/drink (but high merch prices, where they make their money) On the other hand, The USTA announced that it sold 556,782 Honey Deuce signature cocktails during the 2024 U.S. Open. At $23 each (with a take hone cup), USTA made more than $12.8 million on the drinks alone, a 26% increase over 2023. more than one Honey Deuce was sold for every two people who attended the Open They reported operating revenues of $581 million last year, $514 million of which were generated from the U.S. Open, meaning Honey Deuce sales should account for roughly 2% of revenue in 2024.

There's plenty of sports news that's being cross-posted (including Panthers material), but individual reporters (Sheena, for example) still haven't made the jump. Avail on BlueSky with Panthers material: Pro Football Rumors, NFL Fantasy News, Raw NFL, Live News Feeds of Bleacher Report, Adam Schefter There's no master algorithm that pushes content your way -- you maintain control of what you see. There are feeds of interest areas and other ways to find the content you're missing, and you can create/publish your own

The Panthers merchandise team would never...
PanthersATL replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm thinking the Panthers' version would be something that would spell out PANTHERS ANT HERPS HER PANTS -
Sometimes a hat just calls out to be purchased, even if you're not a fan of that team What would be the Panthers' version/design of logo merch that would also be so unintentionally awesome? (Currently sold out / unavailable)

the Luke interview this week gave a lot of insights into what Players likely think about Canales (plus, it's Luke so it's a good watch too)

The NYTimes has us at #25, ahead of the Bears, Dolphins, Broncos, Giants, Browns, Titans, and Jags ESPN and SI has us at #31, ahead of Titans USAToday has us at #23, ahead of Bengals, Raiders, Bears, Giants, Browns, Dolphins, Patriots, Titans, and Jags =-=- Our upcoming schedule? Games that suddenly look a lot more interesting if we can keep the momentum. As Rich Eisen said yesterday: that Munich game no longer looks to be as dead a watch as it felt over the summer Bengals Bears Falcons Washington Broncos Saints Giants

Ochocinco offers an Apology to the Team and to Panthers Fans
PanthersATL replied to Butterflyj30's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was a more sincere apology then you get from others. Didn't give a generic "I'm sorry, I was wrong" -- but called out specific people he felt needed to hear that apology was due in their direction Will make for an interesting INSIDE THE NFL segment this week - can't imagine that they won't touch upon the game after giving us a segment last week -
