  1. That's an ABC network thing, likely not a WSOC choice. And not unique to Panthers -- there are MNF doubleheaders for multiple weeks, the same situation is likely playing out in all those cities too. The best advice I can offer is to call the WSOC programming line and complain about the Panthers game being on TV64 vs on the main ABC channel. They'll probably reply that "it was available on 64", but you can still make the case that the local market game would be better on the bigger signal
  2. There's a small chance that WSOC/WAXN might put the game on streaming, but doubtful if NFL isn't in their streaming contract. ABC says they're streaming the other MNF game (but signin from your paid service may be required for viewing -- no word on whether the Panthers game would be included in that, but doubtful due to it not being on the primary ABC signal)
  3. To answer your thread title question: yes it is. ESPN games will ALWAYS be aired on a local broadcast partner in the local participating team's market. If ABC isn't available for whatever reason, than a different station will be utilized. In this case, WAXN is owned by WSOC, so it's natural for that station to be the partner If the station is not available on the pay-tv service of your choice, then it's still available - for free - via an antenna WAXN is considered a "strong" signal by the FCC
  4. Flavortown is now a supplier to the NFL with these new designs, available at Fanatics. Triple D (and Guy Fieri fans, rejoice!) Darn Chicago and Green Bay -- they get awesome designs with this partnership.
  5. Per 506Sports: NO-CAR will be simulcast on WDSU (NBC/6) New Orleans and WAXN (64) Charlotte. Based on this specific call-out on 506, it sounds like Raleigh will be ESPN only for the Carolina game, as the ABC simulcast is the other MNF game.
  6. Have you seen the VENOM add-on for the Weber from Spyder Grills?
  7. Custom official Panthers-branded Weber kettle grill for smoke-related activities Weber gas for day-to-day cookery. Similar to this one, but Panthers logo'd https://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2014/09/02/nfl-edition-weber-master-touch-bears-logo-grill/
  8. and... it looks like ABC may also be streaming MNF all season long (requires sign-in from your paid TV provider, I'm guessing) Not the Carolina game, darn it.
  9. smells like the reason why ABC announced last week that DWTS is moving from Monday to Tuesday nights.
  10. Spectrum (aka Charter) was paying $200m *a month* to Disney for ESPN and all the other associated Disney channels. That's about $1.8b per year in licensing fees. Charter took a stand and said, if we're going to pay you this much money AND you're competing with us with the proposed direct-to-consumer ESPN streaming service that's going to come eventually.... either give us something more favorable to the consumer or you'll lose out on some much-needed cable money. So Charter subscribers are getting access to Disney's ad-supported streams and other stuff.... and footing a higher ESPN charge along the way for the effort. I suspect the other cable companies will try to negotiate a similar situation when their contracts come up for renewal with Disney
  11. Evergreen reminder: ESPN games will ALWAYS be simulcast on an over-the-air broadcast station in the participating team's local markets. Typically, it will be an ABC affiliate... but there are times when the ABC affiliate isn't available. In those situations, an alternative local broadcast station will be identified. As others have pointed out in the thread, tonight's game is Charlotte local on TV64 If TV64 is not available on your paid television package of choice, it'll still be available via antenna for free.
  12. technically, if you've ever had chicken pox then you'll test positive for having the herp. It's the same virus.
  13. Don’t expect it to crop up for at least a month. Other streamers with this type of restriction use a 60 day max before home checkin. like I said, Google may choose not to enforce this for Sunday Ticket. Sure we will find out when it happens
  14. YouTube has posted this on their help page after getting bombarded with questions from users who had trouble watching
  15. Rules are still an smidge unclear about the unlimited sharing. they say that there can be unlimited streams at the home and up to two streams shared to family members outside the home. there is a chance that the devices used for the remote streams be checked in on the home network during the season… but Google may (or may not) be limiting this restriction for this year. We’ll know more on this as the season progresses.
  16. Go to your settings, and verify your location. compare that to the broadcast map from 506Sportd
  17. YES blackout rules apply Game replays are NOT subject to blackout rules, so you can watch full game replays and key plays of blackout games beginning at midnight sunday Multiview may be limited on various devices, as different TV/stream devices have different hardware specs and may not be able to handle it. YT is working on this, as they know it's something people want
  18. Of all the "first year" college coaches with NFL experience, should we be surprised that it's Deion with a better record than that Nebraska fella ?
  19. Per 506 sports (as others pointed out) NO-CAR will be simulcast on WDSU (NBC/6) New Orleans and WAXN (64) Charlotte.
  20. ESPN MNF games will ALWAYS be dual-broadcast on a station in the local team markets. It may require an antenna if your cable package doesn’t carry it, but it will always be available.
  21. Panther fandom is proof that.... meh, too much effort to finish the joke
  22. and storage, and data pipes in questionably updated stadiums networks/cabling Allegiant for the SB in Feb shouldn't have any infrastructure restraints, considering its newness. But it's not known if SB will be filmed in native 4k or not this year
