Yeah Hutch needs a running mate. They've not been able to hit on a true top tier corner but I figure that can change in the offseason.

To their credit, they tried when they spent, I think, the 3rd overall on Okudah, but it was a miss. Not the same old Lions it seems. Good for them.

  2. We should all be feeling a little hyped up by watching this game. It is possible to turn things around quickly if the right people are in the right spots, and drafts are productive. This Texans team was terrible last season. Here they are winning a division, a home playoff game, and hanging 38 points on the #1 defense. All with a rookie qb and a rookie defense-minded coach. Maybe it won't be years and years for our triumphant return. I'm sure Tepper is watching.

I know its a long shot, but please Tepper, at least try.

Harbaugh to the Chargers makes some sense. The cupboard isn't bare, but they've been an under-achieving bunch for a while. He gets back to the West Coast and SD-Southern California area too.

  4. From PFT on the current coaching carousel

    Panthers: “Who fuging knows.”

That’s the direct quote from a high-level source with one of the NFL’s teams, other than the Panthers. Owner David Tepper looms over all decisions, and he will hover over the shoulder of whoever gets the job. It’s the least attractive option of all (in my opinion), given that the owner is the most active (and disruptive) to the efforts of the coach to do his job.

  5. I really didn't like that 2010 team, mostly because of Fox essentially shrugging his shoulders and telling us to take it up with the personnel department. You just can't be that way if you are the person in charge. The thing is, I still watched that terrible team. I actively didn't watch Panther games this season. There was nothing positive, nothing good, that would compel me to sit through an entire game.

  6. The entire situation surrounding Burns has been poorly handled. There's no reason to decline the trade, and then drag feet to sign him. No way to undo that now. It should be pointed out that his 8 sacks did lead the team, and with only 30 sacks on the year, he was 27% of that number. Nothing on this team was right this year.

  7. If we open next season with a shutout, we will tie the 1970 Raiders for 3 consecutive shutouts. Next year could be full of records just waiting to be broken. Something to look forward to then.

2005 was my favorite season.  I was a freshman at App State and it was awesome when both of my favorite teams were kicking ass every week.

The 2005 team is my favorite as well.

  9. 0-17, 1st team to lose every game in a 17 game season, while putting together a 20 game losing streak will be real close to rock bottom. Maybe if we can go 0-27 and take that terrible Bucs record for ourselves, maybe that would be the absolute rock bottom.
