  1. Cleveland is capable of winning games with their defense. That is not the Panthers.
  2. Tough break for Vandy. They almost had the recovery.
  3. They are averaging 8.4 pressures and 2.41 sacks per game. Doubling it sounds reasonable.
  4. Well, feels like a winning streak is just around the corner now.
  5. There is no reason to watch a June matchup on tv between bad teams such as the Pirates and Rockies, unless you have money riding on the game, or you are just a diehard fan. True enough. There are some rule changes that have been brought about to prevent some of that downtime in the game as well. There is a distinct difference when you are at the ballpark compared to watching a broadcast. There is something special about going out to see a game for your local team in the minors. It really almost harkens back to a simpler time when sports were just sports. I think the 162 game season is too long. World Series elimination games, and Stanley Cup elimination games are in a class by themselves. There is a definite tension and anticipation for the duration.
  6. Can't bring myself to watch UNC football tonight. Not when it's Game 6 of Blue Jays-Dodgers.
  7. Wilson could be a great new mentor for Young. He could also say, "Keep Pounding."after every interview question and presser.
  8. Graphic from Panthers reddit.
  9. I too think he should've been kept, more so after that deal was declined. It's a premium position, and your team either has the ability or they don't. There is not really an inbetween. Doesn't matter any now though, and that's fine too. Not my money, not my choices to make.
  10. I am of the opinion that in the long run it doesn't matter. I know it kind of sticks in the craw about passing up the 2 first rounders for him, only to not sign him, and ultimately ship him out for less, but I am confident we would've spent those picks on stupid poo anyway. It's what we do.
  11. 13 sacks on the year so far. Half of those came against the Jets. NFL.com has us ranked 26th overall. We are probably good then, right?
  12. Not paying Burns is 1 thing. Attempting to bolster the pass rush with nobodies and has-beens is a completely different matter unfortunately. Maybe we should draft another wr?
  13. They shouldn't pick up his option, but it would be prudent to expect them to do exactly that. Dalton needs to be released. Beyond that, there are some names on that list that may not be a bad short-term investment. I don't know that any should be viewed as a long-term solution. It would be surprising if Jones isn't held on to by Indy.
  14. Dalton last posted a winning record in-season in 2015. His fall-off is not recent or new.
  15. That will make for a little extra salt in getting beaten. On the bright side, at least it's not those god-awful Steeler bumblebee uniforms from several seasons back.
  16. Mutually assured destruction.
  17. Remember when the fear was he would be so good that he would be snapped up for a head coaching spot after the 1st year? Good times. The only team stupid enough to want him is us.
  18. While I agree he should have the opportunity to select his own qb, following that does he then get the standard 3 years? New regimes mean new qbs. No coach should tie his future to someone they didn't actually pick. For whatever reason, Canales has done just that. Whether it is being strong armed by Tepper, or overwhelming hubris that he could be successful with Young, it sure seems he has now made his bed.
  19. I spend much of my time there down voting stupidity, and there is an over abundance of Bryce-promotion and Bryce-pedestaling. I like to think maybe they are just younger, less knowledgeable fans, but that might just be wishful thinking.
  20. It seems like "official" boards have gone extinct. The Bucs long ago had a fairly lively and decent board but it was temporarily closed mid-Gruden era and never returned. Falcons official board closed up shop about 2 or 3 seasons ago now.
  21. 40ish to 10ish Packers. They are 1 of the best, most complete teams in the NFL. We are not.
  22. Reddit is fine. Been there for years. The issue with Reddit is more along the lines of maintaining decorum, good online manners, and being generally a nice person, even in the face of absolute stupidity from other posters. Don't let the trolls and idiots get under your skin, and don't overreact from down votes. As far as quality of discussions, it is very mixed, and overall, it is easier to be a Bryce Young fan there right now.
  23. Could be worse. Yes, it is a real product.
  24. Any given Sunday of course, but the Packers game should be another 40ish-10ish beatdown.
  25. Wasn't David Tepper 1 of the minority owners leading the charge to can him? Might have just been rumor, but I recall hearing something about it back then.
