Metchie is this year's comeback story on the team. Everyone will talk about how inspiring it is to see him out on the field in training camp, or playing in a presason game, or working by himself on the practice field sideline. It will go nowhere and fizzle out by the start of the season.

8-10 yard completions is asking a lot of Young.

Lukewarm on this selection. I don't know that we have the personnel to effectively utilize a deep threat speed wr. Tennessee wr have not really worked out recently in the NFL. Maybe he will be different.

Good selection. I definitely like him better than the guy with broken feet the Vikings drafted in the 1st. 2 picks in, I like the attention they have been giving to both sides of the line.

My only real issue with what they did, and it is very, very small since I am not a Rams fan and don't so much care, but the 13th pick is far too valuable a pick to use it on a selection that, best case scenario, will not see the field for a year or two. That is still in the territory of impact starter. Absolutely, it could be a repeat of how Green Bay handled their qb spot, except I know they didn't use the 13th pick on Rodgers or Love.

They could've traded back into the 1st near the end of the round and still had Simpson for the selection. The only thing that might have been an obstacle was maybe they didn't have a trading partner.

I think too many times in recent history we have drafted athletes rather than football players. The results tend to bear that out. I think it might go higher than GM though. Crazy Al Davis was in love with speed, because it couldn't be coached.

I think at this point there is enough of a sample size that hearts and minds are already set one way or another.

Good signing, as something had to be done about left tackle. It's hard not to think that Nijam was going to be most of the solution. That would not have gone well. We absolutely need to start drafting some offensive line though and get some homegrown talent.

We still have the usual overpaying for an OL player or 2 to look forward to, and then the small collection of role players and backups fished off other teams' benches for the defense.

Tua has or had some ability at 1 time. He is 1 unfortunate hit from enjoying tapioca pudding every night now.

He is incapable of supplanting Young.
