  1. The move across the border has nothing to do with expansion. The fact will be that the state of Missouri, previously home to 2 teams, will no longer have a team at all.
  2. Available hotel rooms and suitable infrastructure are also determining factors. The trend has been to award the Superbowl, depending on those other implications, if the city has a new domed stadium. Now, that said, those cities do not seem to go into the Superbowl rotation. Those do seem to be set, but Detroit, Indianapolis and Minneapolis have all been rewarded with the game after opening a new domed stadium.
  3. New stadiums, and specifically new domed stadiums, mean hosting a Superbowl. Even if it is a cold-weather city.
  4. Yes. The AFC is really just about set. I want to say depending on the outcome tonight, 3 teams can clinch a playoff spot. So even if Indy wins tonight, they've still got work to do and certainly need help too.
  5. It might be too late for the Colts at this point.
  6. River doesn't look bad at all. Not sure he could make the grind of a whole season, but a couple of games..sure.
  7. The tailgate action at Chiefs games is the stuff of legends. I have never been to a game there, but I might have to go to 1 now before it's closed.
  8. As a side effect to this, I would not be shocked if St. Louis is at the top of any expansion/relocation with Missouri no longer having a team.
  9. Yes indeed. The new Bills stadium will still be open air IIRC.
  10. I don't think they have broken ground on it yet, but this possibility has been floating around for a while as a path to upgrade/modernize the old stadium. It is similar to what went on with Soldier Field, and now that has had the consequences of the Bears wanting something new anyway since Soldier Field is the smallest stadium in the league. It is the end of an era as Arrowhead has long had a reputation of being a difficult venue for visiting teams, as well as not too many of the old legendary stadiums are around anymore.
  11. Moving to a dome. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47391840/kansas-lawmakers-approve-proposal-help-chiefs-build-new-stadium
  12. XL needs to put on the Sir Purr outfit and just officially become the mascot. Better yet, put on a bodysuit and cape, become Super Purr and dunk footballs over the crossbar on timeouts.
  13. The maybe-fraudulent Pats are sure looking agreeable to a 2 game losing streak so far.
  14. He is the only 1 that consistently impacts games. 1 of 11.
  15. Just imagine if there was someone out there capable of getting double digit sacks on the year, and maybe a Mike Rucker-type to be 2nd banana.
  16. All of the cat teams in the NFL are cursed. The good mojo runs out at the college level.
  17. I think we've been playing him out of position the entire time.
  18. There's 3 premium positions on the team. 1 we don't have at all, and the other 2 will be coming up for contract action sooner rather than later. It's not a great spot to be in, but what can you do? Not my money, not my choice. I get that it would be nice to sign them for a reasonable number, or have cheaper, better options. Not realistic.
  19. Great game, but it was the correct call.
  20. Watching Bills-Browns, at least to start with. Might see the sack record broken today. I do not care 1 bit what the Panthers do or don't do today.
  21. Of course. The season before they started out 10-1. By the end they couldn't stop anybody. Up and down, and back and forth.
  22. I was just about to say this might be over and bring on Packers-Bears. Maybe not.
  23. The Eagles are in their annual late season December swoon. I think they caught the bug from Dallas.
  24. To be fair, it takes a special kind of coach to blow a 25 point lead, ultimately losing the Superbowl in overtime.
