I don't understand what you are advocating for with this. No Probowl? No monetary reward? More money? Keep as is? Make them play? Change something up?

We as fans don't give a fug about it and know that it's a popularity contest. For players it's a significant work bonus.

Arrowhead is done, as Chiefs make move to Kansas.

The key word about Europe would be money, and would it be lucrative enough to justify the logistical headaches that would come along with establishing a division there. It would be a nightmare in a lot of ways. The next big thing to come about will be the 18th game. I always thought that having 1 game, now that there is an odd number of games, played at a secondary (neutral) location would be a good idea. Like a Panthers game at Columbia or Raleigh. But I am sure there would be difficulties pulling it off, and historically that hasn't made much financial sense. It probably is past that time as well though. I mention that because it is similar in some ways to a D-league. Again it all comes down to money and is it lucrative enough. The alternative leagues that try and make a run at it, never seem to last too long or be very compelling though. -
It's about the cash payout, which is around $100,000, and the further earnings that can come from endorsements when they can add "NFL pro-bowler" under the name, and future contract earnings. Otherwise yes, no one wants to play in the game or gives a hoot about it.

If expansion happens it will be in North America. But by how many and suitable cities and markets would be challenges to overcome, among others. I do think at some point there could be a European league again, but not an NFL Europe-based division. The single games are proven money-makers without having to commit to a team. -

It matters to the players, at the very minimum it matters to the players financially.

The Bears have the added incentive to do something because Soldier Field is the smallest venue in the league with a capacity of only 61,500. -

Don't disagree with that at all. Not so sure it would fly though. The Rams departing for a return to LA can be portrayed as unfair, and even rigged or manipulated. Everything was tied to the stadium being ranked in the top percent of buildings, and it was setup for them to have an escape clause. The league always wanted them in LA. The Cardinals leaving years and years ago is now ancient history. I don't care either way. I really don't. I have never lived in that part of the country, and I never will, but they certainly have a claim to be made on getting a team again. -

I don't think there is an argument about whether the Chiefs, soon to playing in the state of Kansas, will still be the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets and Giants both maintain a NY name despite playing in New Jersey. That said, there are plenty of people that refer to the Bills as being the only New York team. I think what might be overlooked is that Missouri, previously home to 2 teams, now has 0. If I were part of group trying to lure a team to St. Louis, or land an expansion team, I would be leading off with that exact reason why it would be crucial to grant NFL fans in Missouri a team they can call their own. It has absolutely nothing to do with KC, and everything to do with St. Louis. The fate of Arrowhead stadium is the real unfortunate part in all this though. -

The move across the border has nothing to do with expansion. The fact will be that the state of Missouri, previously home to 2 teams, will no longer have a team at all. -

Available hotel rooms and suitable infrastructure are also determining factors. The trend has been to award the Superbowl, depending on those other implications, if the city has a new domed stadium. Now, that said, those cities do not seem to go into the Superbowl rotation. Those do seem to be set, but Detroit, Indianapolis and Minneapolis have all been rewarded with the game after opening a new domed stadium. -

New stadiums, and specifically new domed stadiums, mean hosting a Superbowl. Even if it is a cold-weather city. -
Yes. The AFC is really just about set. I want to say depending on the outcome tonight, 3 teams can clinch a playoff spot. So even if Indy wins tonight, they've still got work to do and certainly need help too.

It might be too late for the Colts at this point.

River doesn't look bad at all. Not sure he could make the grind of a whole season, but a couple of games..sure.

The tailgate action at Chiefs games is the stuff of legends. I have never been to a game there, but I might have to go to 1 now before it's closed. -

As a side effect to this, I would not be shocked if St. Louis is at the top of any expansion/relocation with Missouri no longer having a team. -

Yes indeed. The new Bills stadium will still be open air IIRC. -

I don't think they have broken ground on it yet, but this possibility has been floating around for a while as a path to upgrade/modernize the old stadium. It is similar to what went on with Soldier Field, and now that has had the consequences of the Bears wanting something new anyway since Soldier Field is the smallest stadium in the league. It is the end of an era as Arrowhead has long had a reputation of being a difficult venue for visiting teams, as well as not too many of the old legendary stadiums are around anymore. -

The maybe-fraudulent Pats are sure looking agreeable to a 2 game losing streak so far.
