As others have said though, he was getting tons of hype, especially at the beginning of the year, about how he was going to be the next big thing. Landed with a thud.
-
Numbers are what they are, but I think what I was saying was he would benefit by staying another year at the college level, or sitting his 1st NFL year because there is a bit of that risk, that like Richardson, he is not prepared for the challenge of what the next level would present. That said, I stand by the statement that we would probably draft him if given the chance, and then promptly begin the process of absolutely ruining him.

He has some potential, but I really think he would benefit by either staying another year, or sitting at the NFL level. There is a little bit of Richardson bust risk there. That said, we will probably draft him if we have the chance, start him day 1, and all be shocked when he is terrible as well.

Sure feels like 0-2 is on the way.

I wouldn't want any of those starting as a rookie on day 1. That said, we need a vet, that is not Andy Dalton, that can be the starter while a prospect grows and learns on the sidelines.

Better than Bryce. https://bsky.app/profile/centexag.bsky.social/post/3lygwb2jqgc25

I would be shocked if anyone with options would take the job. There will always be someone that wants a shot at having 1 of only 32 jobs in the world. That's how the Raiders were able to to keep selling people on their coaching job in the insane Al Davis days towards the end.

Is Tepper going to clean the house again after this season?
UnluckyforSome replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
It needs to be torn down to the foundation. It's what should have happened after the Cam/Rivera administration ended. It could be argued that was the intention with Rhule, and giving him control of the entire structure, but obviously mistakes were made at the very core of that strategy. This is year 8 of the grand rebuild, and it has been a mishmash of coaches, players, opinions, executives, strategies, voices, plans and designs, and the result has been complete slop and a total clownshow where the circus music is always playing. -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
UnluckyforSome replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Astute observers know that Young is a starting NFL qb in name only. The data points only verify what most can plainly see. Now, how about some big time throws? -
I mean, we are looking at McCarthy's 1st start, on the road, against a division rival, and he is 3 minutes from a come from behind victory. Better than Bryce.
-
And rightfully, justifiably so. The real unfortunate dilemma will be if this shithole team manages to put a few wins together and surpass the win total from last year and we hold on to Young since he is making "progress."
-
Two drives, two 3 and outs for the Vikings. Not off to a great start.
-
Remember when he was brought in, and folks were so concerned that he might only be here a year before some team snapped him up for a HC job, because he was just going to be that awesome? Meanwhile..

Derrick Brown is the Leader of this Team

Their best day running the ball in 3 years. Panthers just got that secret sauce. -
What a great game. Been a good Sunday, minus the Panthers.
-
It is the outright over-the-top hubris. He thinks he has just figured it all out, and can't wait to tell everyone exactly that, right down to the ridiculous poo about how Young distributes the ball. Not just Superbowl, but Superbowls!

Have to expect 1 of these 2 to be the AFC champ this year..if the Chiefs are not up to the challenge.

Went from Cam and Luke to this......unbelievable

I know I know. If we are lucky maybe we can convince the great Daniel Jones to come here next year. -
Went from Cam and Luke to this......unbelievable

Well, the math is a little off, this will be the 8th straight year of no playoffs and soul-crushing losing. Maybe next year. -
Xavier Legette fuging sucks
UnluckyforSome replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
In all seriousness, he needs to start playing on special teams, because his future in the league is not as a starting wr. -
There is a great reason to keep him and just let him play out the season. He could very well lead us to the top pick in the draft. Which we will probably fug up the choice again.
