  1. I agree..not trying to imply it isn't bad. More so, as fans, we have no power or say so. So, I didn't watch any of that shitshow. I've had a good Sunday watching the Falcons, Bucs and Cowboys lose.
  2. That really is more reflective of the days before everything was dictated by the rookie wage scale. But, to your point, that was brought into being for situations exactly like this, where teams have made a pick that is not looking the part.
  3. No other alternative. That team doesn't give a fug about you. No point in getting worked up over it. Save that passion for when it matters again, not this garbage that gets put out on the field. I've watched maybe 30 minutes of Panthers football this season. I watched most of the preseason. They are terrible, I know they are terrible, and I'm not going to get wrapped up in their terribleness.
  4. I don't know how you all watch this poo weekend after weekend. All it does is make me mad and ruins the time spent watching games. I appreciate what you do. The Falcons lost, the Bucs lost, and the Cowboys are losing. Been a good Sunday so far.
  5. I don't think it's a tough decision at all. There's no way to justify paying him with his current history of being available. It's very unfortunate, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Not the 1st time that an athlete has their career truncated due to injury.
  6. Jimmy G is also benched in favor of McConnell.
  7. It takes time to sort and swallow a handful of pills. I've always liked the story that came out about Al Davis' interview of Kiffin. He suggested they keep talking over dinner and sent someone out to get a big bag of regular McDonalds cheeseburgers for the two of them.
  8. No, it's Elon Musk half-assery. If you attempt to post a tweet by hitting the share button on the actual tweet, which is the underscore icon with the upward arrow, on the right side, it will copy/paste a x.com based-url. Nearly all message boards do not recognize this, so the tweet does not embed, but instead will display the url in it's text long form only. If however, you copy and paste the actual twitter.com url from the top of your browser, the tweet will embed since twitter is still recognized.
  9. With tweets, the url needs to be twitter.com, not x.com.
  10. I think if you zoom out a bit you might see a bit more of what I am getting at. They've always put a premium on skill players, but then don't really have anything behind them or around them. Then for a few years towards the end of the Ryan era they really concentrated on oline, with some mixed results. They like splashy a whole bunch, and always have, but other than Michael Turner and a retiring Tony Gonzalez, I can't think of many deals they've made that worked out favorably, and unironically, those 2 were both on offense.
  11. I have not understood their method of roster building for most of Blank's tenure. It's a oddly constructed team most years. Heinicke is a better option at qb, but he is still backup level. Maybe they spend their next high pick on another rb.
  12. Are you trying to say Ian Thomas can't be that weapon?
  13. It is a bit of a tantalizing tease. Seems like the system is very qb friendly, and maybe that creates a little bit of good enough complacency.
  14. He had a good story. Disney might be writing a Disney+ exclusive dramatization movie about it right now.
  15. Danny DeVito would give them a better chance.
  16. 6 sacks. Leading a game-winning drive with this team would be a top pick type of achievement.
  17. Legendary Hurst, with 1 legendary target, has a legendary drop. His hand must hurt from signing legendary autographs.
  18. I have no buyers remorse over Levis. I'm pleased the Falcons are getting embarrassed, so there is that.
  19. Ridder has been benched to start the second half. Falcons down 14-3.
