I don't think there's going to be anyone to find at this point. It's not a great group, and most everyone knew it wasn't a great group, but there's always hope I guess.

They might not be 2001 and 2010 bad, but its not far off by the looks of it.
-
Saints are doing a fine, fine job of giving this game away at the end.
-
Nope. He wouldn't have been any better. Don't know if it would've been worse, but no better really.

Why is Henderson still on this roster? He's terrible.
Well. Part of it might be that 1 starting corner is injury-prone, and the other is a 1-trick pony coming off a major injury.
-
So this is looking like the 7th straight losing season?
-
On the bright side, Saints do not have a NFL starting LT. When Penning hasn't been a turnstile, he's been ragdolled all over the field.
-
The end result is the same whether it's an injury bust or doesn't belong bust.
-
Seems like he is limping along steadily to that being so.

Titans at Saints has been ok, but full of mistakes.
-
Horn out for 2nd half. Well at least that is out of the way early on this season.

so glad I’m not having to hear this poo on a weekly basis
Absolutely. Teams lose because they don't know why they lose, and he will have to watch the tape, but they're better than they have shown.

My university doesn't field a team. No football. The closest university that did isn't exactly known as a football school. I suppose I shouldn't follow any of it, but I do.

Not to be overlooked are the hopes that have been dashed from the offseason when Husker faithful looked at that schedule and dreamed about being 4-0, ranked in the top 25, and hosting Michigan with their upstart, rejuvenated power, all thanks to Matt Rhule.

they would have had to go cheap elsewhere.
Correct. This was the case in Atlanta when they moved on from Ryan. They played that season with a $50 million+change cap hit, and as a result they had the highest number of UDFAs in the league.

Not enough data to answer as of yet. It remains to be seen if he will stay healthy or revert back to being dinged up. He was top 5 in touches last season the 49ers damn sure are getting their investments worth out of him. At one point he had a rushing receiving and passing touchdown. Not even we put him out there for all that. I don't foresee that being a recipe for sustained injury free play for long.
Do you happen to read Peter King's column anymore? If not, he has a line in this week's that goes along the lines of how great it is CMC is finally in a system that can maximize him as a player. If you feel that's a bit of a slight or an insult, you should, since he became the 3rd player to have a 1000/1000 season on one of our awful 5 win teams. No mention made of that though.

Name a better player on defense than Burns. I'd be hard pressed to name one.
Yeah, he'll get paid. The Panthers would be dumb at this point not to.
Being dumb has been no obstacle in the past. Different regimes though, so maybe different results.

Basically, by earning his teammates' respect.
It's actually a pretty good sign.
I'm not really on either side of it. I think more I was taking note of how our last high profile, rookie qb was not a captain in 2011. But sometimes people can be sensitive, or misread or misunderstand, or strive to take a position. As I stated, it's no big deal.
-
Granted they have to name captains, but this is kind of an odd assortment. Not sure how a rookie QB can be a captain, but whatever, no big deal.
-
Honoring the contract is 1-sided. Teams routinely cut players under contract. It is a little bit of a misnomer to call it a contract when things are not guaranteed.
-
If I recall they gave him an 8 year deal. I won't give him credit for much, but I will have to pat him on the back for maximizing his earning potential in the face of failure.

Barring something unexpected, like winning the East, Rivera is gone after this season. New ownership, possible new branding of the team, out with all the old, and add in the missed opportunities, lowered expectations and having a capable interim coach, or replacement coach on staff already, and it's pretty clear cut.

I sure hope the Huskers aren't about to go 0-2. That would be just awful.
We need to find some WR help

I know. There's still plenty of games to go too.
