  1. Google claims otherwise. I thought the temperature when they won at Philly in their 1st Superbowl run was below 40. Maybe not?
  2. Warm weather teams never seem to do well in the cold. Not just the Dolphins. I think the Bucs have never won a game when the kickoff temperature was below 40.
  3. Meanwhile in KC.. https://twitter.com/FloNoFro/status/1746316152203084201
  4. We should all be feeling a little hyped up by watching this game. It is possible to turn things around quickly if the right people are in the right spots, and drafts are productive. This Texans team was terrible last season. Here they are winning a division, a home playoff game, and hanging 38 points on the #1 defense. All with a rookie qb and a rookie defense-minded coach. Maybe it won't be years and years for our triumphant return. I'm sure Tepper is watching.
  5. Browns look like they decided to go back to their old ways today.
  6. The pass would've hit Thomas in the facemask and he would've fallen over. It would then be intercepted on the deflection and returned for a score.
  7. Harbaugh to the Chargers makes some sense. The cupboard isn't bare, but they've been an under-achieving bunch for a while. He gets back to the West Coast and SD-Southern California area too.
  8. From PFT on the current coaching carousel https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/an-early-look-at-where-the-coaching-carousel-could-land Panthers: “Who fuging knows.” That’s the direct quote from a high-level source with one of the NFL’s teams, other than the Panthers. Owner David Tepper looms over all decisions, and he will hover over the shoulder of whoever gets the job. It’s the least attractive option of all (in my opinion), given that the owner is the most active (and disruptive) to the efforts of the coach to do his job.
  9. I'm hoping for a misfit Superbowl between the Browns and Lions.
  10. I really didn't like that 2010 team, mostly because of Fox essentially shrugging his shoulders and telling us to take it up with the personnel department. You just can't be that way if you are the person in charge. The thing is, I still watched that terrible team. I actively didn't watch Panther games this season. There was nothing positive, nothing good, that would compel me to sit through an entire game.
  11. The entire situation surrounding Burns has been poorly handled. There's no reason to decline the trade, and then drag feet to sign him. No way to undo that now. It should be pointed out that his 8 sacks did lead the team, and with only 30 sacks on the year, he was 27% of that number. Nothing on this team was right this year.
  12. If we open next season with a shutout, we will tie the 1970 Raiders for 3 consecutive shutouts. Next year could be full of records just waiting to be broken. Something to look forward to then.
  13. We could always trade next year's 1st for this year's bag of magic beans.
  14. Falcons-Saints 17-17 at half, not that it matters too much with Tampa getting a win today.
  15. The 2005 team is my favorite as well.
  16. Can't really expect anything else from a 2 win team. It's still an honor, but mostly a name recognition and popularity gauge.
  17. I don't care too much for Michigan, but I do like Bama going down.
  18. 0-17, 1st team to lose every game in a 17 game season, while putting together a 20 game losing streak will be real close to rock bottom. Maybe if we can go 0-27 and take that terrible Bucs record for ourselves, maybe that would be the absolute rock bottom.
  19. Cat teams in the NFL never win anything. This is not the same in lower levels of football, but none of the kitties can claim a Superbowl. The Bengals and Panthers are a combined 0-4, and the Lions and Jaguars have never even made the game. When we have a new team in place, we should seriously consider a bird for a mascot instead.
  20. 3 Superbowl contenders. Not that it matters too much. We didn't match up well to any team this go around.
  21. It will come and go pretty quick. He will get a fine and make some sort of public apology. Maybe take an anger management workshop of some sort. It just doesn't have the legs to run very far since there is no injury.
  22. Do we play both wests next year? That will be a difficult schedule if we do.
  23. Their schedule is full of some dogs today. The showcase game was Dolphins-Ravens and its a blowout midway through the 3rd.
  24. I don't think even the Panthers are dumb enough to trade for Wilson and that contract. Heard on sports radio that the cap hit would be in 75 million range, and that Wilson could sign for the vet minimum somewhere and would still have the Broncos on the hook.
