  1. Tepper should go coach the team. Then he can fire himself at season's end.
  2. Move that decimal point over a couple of spots, and then it might be closer to the real value at least.
  3. So, 1 local channel here airs the Jags Sunday hype show, and the good talk radio station broadcasts Falcons games. SEC football, Clemson football and Braves baseball are kings here.
  4. They had to settle for a fg instead of a td a couple of times. Hard to win like that against good teams.
  5. Bills have to win out by the looks of it. They get Miami the last game of the season, but Miami should be favored in their next 3.
  6. Good point, but I don't think Purdy is the player that much of the sportstalk media has wanted him to be, and the Lions, while a good-for-you kind of story, just aren't there yet. I guess the Cowboys have about as much of a chance as the others. Seems like the real contests will be in the AFC though.
  7. Yeah, there's still a quarter to play, but I thought this would maybe play out a little differently than it has so far. I think, barring some sort of injury bug, the Eagles will make it out of the NFC. As they just get another td to draw close again.
  8. I think you like Allen a little more than I do, but I do have to admit he has played better with Dorsey gone. Not sure if it's just a positive streak, or something more to it.
  9. Generally, you have sound ideas. This is 1, and it doesn't get mentioned enough. I agree, and I've read the posts where folks are stumping for Dalton, and I want to reply that Dalton wasn't brought here to play. Dalton doesn't want to play. Dalton has no intention of playing. If you look back on his career, how long he has played, and some of his thoughts and comments from some of his more recent stops, he is essentially done as a player. Now, I don't know if competition would bring out the best in Young or not, but it would at least be an option where they could sit him. Despite being heralded as a captain and starter in his rookie year, without having earned any of it, he is clearly not ready to start as-is. No argument that the team is a complete horror show from top to bottom, and there is precious little to actually help him in-game. But then we get into a slippery slope of whether or not he is a franchise qb.
  10. It's very admirable you are willing to still see how it will play out.
  11. It's not a myth at all. That's the very definition of franchise qb. Hence the word franchise. It's fine to not be in agreement. It's very admirable you are willing to still see how it will play out.
  12. CBS just had the graphic up that has the Jags at 1. Baltimore hasn't played yet, and I assume they will beat the Chargers though.
  13. He's no small part of it though. Pun intended. A franchise qb has the ability to be a tide that raises all ships, and he cannot do that, at all.
  14. As of right now, the road to the Superbowl in the AFC runs through Jacksonville.
  15. it is mathematically possible that they could still win it with a 7-10 mark.
  16. Jags win. Texans attempt 58 yard field goal to tie, it bounces off the crossbar.
  17. Well then, we know how that will go. There will be much argument about how much he is worth, or worthless, full of passion like it might mean the difference between keeping the lights on, or food on the table, or gas in the tank, finally ending in a offer that is 1 notch over the bottom floor of market value. When that offer is not accepted, he will be considered a bum.
  18. Steelers-Bengals was better than I thought it would be. Last few minutes of Jags-Texans now, Jags with the lead and driving.
