What franchises are in worse shape than the Panthers
UnluckyforSome replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jets have already dismissed their coach and gm. The qb is not a long term plan. They are just as terrible as we are. -
Carolina may not "be sold" on young (per athletic)
UnluckyforSome replied to Champagnepapi704's topic in Carolina Panthers
It depends on what you would want out of Fields at qb. I kind of feel the book has been written on him, and he is what he is. On the plus side, he can run around and make things happen, but on the minus, those things he makes happen aren't always great. He's more capable of winning than Bust Young, but not a long term solution. If we go the vet bridge route, all of them will have warts. -
Other games 11/17, got some good ones today

They threw it to Mingo. -

Not so fast. Mingo has that game circled on his calendar now. -

I don't think their oline has held up very well this year. That said, they have the benefit of playing in a division that is usually a little down. -

Cowboys should have their new weapon up and running this game. Mingo will surely make his presence felt. -

Both of these teams look terrible so far. Texans are less terrible. I wouldn't say better though. -
We have the GOAT at one position...

Doesn't matter now. Season is over. -
Stranger things have happened, but it is not looking very positive. Maybe the Chiefs have an outbreak of the flu this week?

Seems reasonable enough. -

I'm a little interested in how the refs might nudge the scale over to the Chiefs today. -
33rd Team has a mock out today
UnluckyforSome replied to UnluckyforSome's topic in Carolina Panthers
It seems like a very Panthers-style pick to me. I am not convinced we go qb this year, but that may be a bit contingent on draft position. Taking a lb there is on brand, and the defense is god awful bad. -
And with the 10th pick of the 2025 draft, the Carolina Panthers select Jalon Walker, LB Georgia Height: 6'2" Weight: 245 lbs. Class: Junior Fit: The Carolina Panthers have found a little life at the midway point of the season. Sure, their wins came against teams picking No. 2 and No. 8 in this current draft order over the last two weeks, but wins are wins for a franchise that hasn't got to enjoy many of them in recent years. QB Bryce Young is showing some improvement upon his return to the lineup, too, which may be a bigger win than any the Panthers will put in the win column on a Sunday this season. On the other hand, the pass-rush group isn't collecting many wins. Charles Harris and A'Shawn Robinson entered Week 10 as the only Panthers defenders with two whole sacks or more on the season. Georgia's Jalon Walker is a diverse, disruptive talent that Carolina defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero could certainly weaponize to bring some more potency to pressuring the opposition. https://www.the33rdteam.com/2025-nfl-mock-draft-latest-first-round-predictions-entering-week-11/

Not liking the Texans red alert uniforms. The helmets are especially bad. College team bad.

Easily! You have to include Panthers coaches as well in that number.

I don't want the Panthers to fail, and from what I have seen, Bust Young playing qb greatly enhances the chances of that happening.

Our old pal Sam Darnold did his best to lead the Vikings to a loss today, but just couldn't quite pull it off against the lowly Jags. Three interceptions and a 4th nullified by a penalty.

The optimism is fantastic. Totally disconnected from reality, but it is really looking on the bright side of things.

CarolinaHuddle vs r/panthers
UnluckyforSome replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I spend some time at both. I find myself down voting things more frequently there. It is a different audience for certain. -
That is exactly what should happen when losing to the worst team in the league. Especially only a few weeks after beating the snot out of that same team.
-
Jets, Dolphins and Patriots will be a round robin of AFC East misery. Dolphins probably the best out of that bunch and should gain some distance from the pack. Browns may actually win a game here or there now that Watson is done again. Raiders will unexpectedly win a couple more games. Giants will beat us head to head. Titans and Jags are both terrible. Either of these teams, and the AFC East loser of that bunch, are capable of stealing our #1 pick away.

Here comes Bust Young and the Panthers, right in the nick of time for the Saints to get off their latest and current losing streak. -
Do you resign Dalton for one more season?
UnluckyforSome replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He got into trouble while in Tampa for a groping incident with an Uber driver. -

I think it should be up to the coach. Dalton was brought in with the specific point of being a mentoring presence to Bust Young, by a previous regime. While that list of impending free agent qbs isn't very inspiring, I have no doubt of their ability to lead us to 1 or 2 wins as well.
