Let's hope our next series doesn't feature DJ Dallas exclusively then. -
Official Week 7: Panthers @ Jets Gameday Thread
UnluckyforSome replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jets offense should be called the Worst Show on Turf. Absolutely toothless and punchless. -
I don't think not having Wilson available will be much of a factor. I think this game comes down to which defense can successfully shut down the running game and force the opposition's bad qb into stupid poo more often. I have a feeling that we do the Jets a solid and help them out with their 1st win.
-
I get the feeling that if he goes high to a bad team, like ourselves, or the Browns, or the Jets, he will likely bust.
-
Little bit of a shootout happening in Athens right now. 17-14 Bulldogs but Rebs about to score to retake the lead.
-
I find it all a little bit unreal that the 33rd NFL team is coming up short against the likes of Cal.
-
I haven't been paying much attention to this as the baseball game has been a better watch. 2-2 in the bottom of the 8th. Raleigh hit a solo homer to tie it up.
-
Nifty interception on a dumb throw by Beck.
-
Is it UCLA or Cal? Not much different really. It might be historically significant. Never know when it will be Old Bill's last game ever at this point.
-
Not sure how much actual melting down will happen. Somewhere deep down in your black and process blue heart, you have to expect the worst outcome as a very real possibility.

Unranked Loserville up 14-0 on the #2 Hurricanes. Watching a bit of this and a bit of Mariners-Bluejays.

Greg Cosell: Bryce Young is a complimentary piece
UnluckyforSome replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
But but but Bryce needs more time, and better coaching, and a top 5 defense, and All-pro receivers, and pro bowl running backs and a HOF tight end, and the most expensive line money can buy, or he is just not going to develop his potential. See that's all the Panther's fault. -
Cool. Not the outcome I expected. Worth watching.
-
A few minutes ago I was thinking of turning this off at halftime.
-
Bengals don't look to have much going for them tonight except for those sweet white tiger alts.
-
If they start Corbett we are back to being the dumbest team in the league again.
-
Man on the street interviews. And some women too. Part of this reminds me that I had an ex-girlfriend that is a Falcons fan. She was nice. Except for that. https://youtu.be/ZKMvI-qcIvI?si=gzvBbLeYUBLjEvdn

Damn, am I really going to watch Steelers-Bengals on Amazon in a few minutes? Unfortunately, yes, at least for a little bit.

Something new to argue vehemently about.
UnluckyforSome replied to UnluckyforSome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, to some extent. Some people believe Stafford is a shoe-in for the HOF. Alternatively, some folks think he is a very skilled stat compiler. I guess there is a difference in some minds about the circumstances and perspective. -

Right. I am curious if it includes big time throws in either formulation. -

Not really any point in arguing back and forth about it, other than for the sake of arguing. If you believe in him, you believe in him. I don't. I point to his W-L record. I point to how awful he plays. I point to how he crow-hops around (as another poster put it a while back) in the pocket. I point to how success is so incredibly rarely ever seen at that size in the NFL, at any position. That it's year 3, and there are still "questions" just seems ridiculous. I don't hate him. He has the weight of all the expectations of the organization and fans on his shoulders and just he isn't cut out for it. 9 wins total, in year 3 is just not it, and none of the excuses are going to hold water on that mark.

Not sure of the contract, but unless this is Taylor's final contract year, I would be surprised if Cincinnati moves on, just to avoid paying out money to a coach no longer there.
-
I think trap game only applies to a good team facing an inferior opponent.
-
Absolutely, and I would hope that someone smarter than me is making that ultimate decision. He has been better than ok, despite the shortcomings. Top half of the league, top 20ish. The unfortunate trend is every off-season seems to feature the next highest-paid player at their position. If I had to go on a hunch, we will pay him what he wants, because of everything that doesn't equate to his performance on the field. I don't think I would lose sleep over it, again it's not my money or choice, but he isn't worth that kind of deal.
