  1. Yes, but it will take a sea change to make that happen. While Tepper is certainly an overwhelming wrong here, he is not the only thing off with the franchise.
  2. I know it looks grim, but there will be 1 game on that schedule that the opponent is missing a key player, or they just didn't prepare enough, or the ball bounces the wrong way. Make no mistake, we are not better than any other team in the league.
  3. I predicted 1 win. There's no panic here. He showed all last season he can't play at this level.
  4. Well, you know, with the way Bryce is able to pass the ball and distribute it around, we won't need superstar receivers.
  5. In the Superbowl era, the record for the least amount of touchdowns in a season is 11 by the 1977 Bucs. That was in a 14 game season. This Panthers team can break that record, even with the 17 games. It is that bad.
  6. Well. They won 2 last year. I have them winning 1 this year. Chances are good they will improve on that at some point in the future.
  7. He threw a drink on a fan, and maybe got a sternly worded letter from the league office and a slap on the wrist.
  8. The problem with getting a ransom of picks for the top spot is there has to be a player perceived to be worth that haul. There are no sparkling names out there for qb at this time. Sure, it could change between now and then, but there isn't a game changer out there as of now.
  9. The Rams-Lions game last night was a good watch. Panthers aren't worth watching. I don't find them funny. It's a miserable experience and has been that way for a good while now. I don't think I watched an entire Panthers game last season, and I was just fine.
  10. I recognize the fan in you doesn't want Young to be a failure. Quit extending him another 2 or 3 games to show something. He hasn't shown anything in a season+. Nothing, nada, nul, nunca.
  11. We may not have to wait even that long for the beatdown. Bengals are more than capable of running up the score.
  12. Only reasons for him to continue coaching would be to surpass Shula's record for wins and prove that he didn't need Brady. Neither would happen here.
  13. So here's a good what if? What if he goes 2-15, or 1-16, or 0-17 this year? Tough sell on a coach with that kind of record. We would be closer to being the NFC Browns then.
  14. There aren't any strengths to this team. Worst teams in the league are the worst because there are no strengths. It could be even worse though, we could've won the Watson bidding war, so there is a bright spot.
  15. The 1977 Bucs have the record with fewest touchdowns on the season in the Superbowl era, with 11 scored. This team could challenge that record.
  16. If you love the sport it is very possible to follow games and enjoy watching and attending. Doesn't mean you have to be emotional invested in this garbage franchise.
  17. The irony is Fox played safety, and Rivera was a defensive guru.
  18. Bryce will be on the chopping block for this season, assuming it goes terribly. They have rightfully attempted to help him succeed this season with investments in guard, wr and rb. Tepper will attempt to be patient. New coaches mean new qb, and Canales, if he is still here, will get the chance to call his shot. A disaster of season probably drives Tepper to fire everyone again and start over.
  19. 1-16 They are a notch or 2 better than last year's awful team. They are better than 1 win, but I don't think the record is going to reflect any of that. You look at the schedule and there are not too many opportunities for a win. We are, however, the pushover on the schedule for 14 other teams. At some point in the season it will be more beneficial, and easier, to just lose instead.
  20. Hornets are a cursed franchise. Maybe it's a mascot sharing a name with a notorious hurricane, or the ghost of Bobby Phills, or George Shinn making a pact with the devil, or LJ's broken back or Zo not being worth the money, or Adam Morrison lingering stink, or some combination of all those and more. They are never going to be good. Even when they were adored in the good old days, they still weren't very good. All that said, Atlanta is a pretty bad sports town. Take out all the SEC fanbases in the vicinity and it is very bleak indeed.
