I completely agree with that, on the other hand, specific to this year, a 3 loss SEC team still has 3 losses and I am not convinced they should be in a conversation about a "National Champion."
-
Then it becomes, as Finebaum has a bit sarcastically said, the Alabama Invitational.
-
It could be. There will certainly be something for the Alabama crowd to gripe about. There has been a real emphasis on trying to create the same excitement for this that is a part of the basketball tournament. The thing is, we have seen the little guys in college football already fail repeatedly to knock off the big programs, so I am not sure why expanding the field to officially include them would necessarily bring different results. There's already talk here and there about expanding it further to 16, and there is no good reason for that either.

Too bad SMU. Just not your day.

Old fired coach challenges old fired coach

Supposedly, Gruden called the Jets to thank them for getting Jenkins out of the division. -

No one here really talks much Panthers unless they are winning. SEC football, that's another story completely. Lo and behold, we will get the game here.
-
I would be more inclined to watch any of those other games over Panthers-Cardinals. There is no reason to sit through that mess. Complete waste of time.

Wrapped up in 2029? Well that will be a big event, especially considering that might be when we are finally flirting with having a winning season again.

He's what..38..and coming off what can be a career-ending injury? It should've been expected, and I guess to some degree it was, since they drafted a qb to replace him the same year they signed him. We probably allow him to put up a highlight reel in a few weeks, but in general, I am happy with their continued failures.

How did they mess up so bad with Mayfield and Darnold,

Many of us will be delighted to help him pack up the U-haul. -

Has this game changed feelings about Young?
UnluckyforSome replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh we can march him out there all next year as well, so in that regard he's a starter in the NFL. How good and capable of a starter? Well, that might be a different discussion. -

A few Falcons fans are starting to get nervous. iDash Diehard Posts: 7,622 Posted: 11 hours ago Post by iDash on 11 hours ago Falcons DC Jimmy "Career Day" Lake is the worst DC in Falcons history and he has to be the first to go, like today! 5 tds Vikings, 4tds Broncos, Career Days! How many tds will his prevent nothing defense give up to the Raiders QB? (no matter who the QB is) Carolina Young is lickin his chops to play this shitty defense. The Falcons defense in the past would always make every Qb look like the next Joe Montana, but he is on another level. The only way his defense stops somebody is if Bates makes an int, or he causes a fumble. Mr. Blank shopping at Kmart "blue light" special for Coaches didn't work. Thanks McKay and Co.! This last week against Minn was the most embarassing defensive things I ever seen to happen to the Falcons D in a game. Plus, it's been on repeat every day since the game ended! -
Atlanta might start Penix that game. Not convinced that would really be beneficial to us.

They have no chance. Ok, there is a chance, as there is always a chance for disaster every game. But realistically, they aren't representing the AFC in the last game of the season. There is an opinion that Tomlin is good for 9 or 10 wins every year, but never being good enough to challenge for anything more significant. That might be the case. It could also be they still don't have the replacement for their last Superbowl-winning qb, or a little of both probably.
-
He has won it all. 2008.
-
Not that I particularly agree with it, but don't be shocked if he is in on 1st ballot. The ones that vote for him will say he was a big game qb, 2-0 in Superbowls, beat the undefeated Pats, has the pedigree, etc etc.

Maybe we might have learned something from the Robbie Anderson deal? Could it be we are no longer the dumbest team in the NFL? Hard to believe we have swilled down enough bitter medicine from all our bad deals, but just maybe we have had enough.

I would suggest we could collect the whole set of recent Alabama qbs and add Jones and Tua in the offseason, but without knowing the details, I think the Dolphins are too much on the hook with Tua.
