Unfortunately, I don't think it matters how much ink is spilled telling this story about Tepper's meddlesome ways. As an example of such, the Cowboy's GM remains employed despite season after season after season of futility and disappointment.

New coach means new qb. They all want their guy. As stated in the post, I don't know what they would ask for him. What trade value do you think is there? Maybe they showcase him in the preseason, maybe they bench him at the bye for the replacement. Out with the old though.

I would tend to agree. There are probably a few fans here and there that are hoping to have a told-you-so moment, and that chance may certainly come around soon.

A rare MNF game with 2 really good teams. Usually it features some sad sack doormat team that no one cares about. Maybe the Panthers can get a couple of those spots over the next year or two.

It won't take 5 years. Not if you have the right people in place. Now, next year is going to be bad, but maybe not as bad as this year. I agree about restructuring the operations, and Tepper needs to sign checks and be a cheerleader. I think our scouting department has become very inconsistent. I don't think we do well developing players. I don't think we have had an identity since Cam, Luke and the others from the last run left the game. Establishing those things again will not be overnight. But getting back to being competitive will not be a 5 year plan, if the right choices are made. I have no confidence that can happen though.

There will always be candidates. There are only 32 of these jobs in the world. Don't under estimate the drive and egos of some folks that think they can be the 1 to turn something around. Regarding Young, we aren't on the hook for a fortune to him, so there is no obligation to keep him if/when there is a change at the top.

You can still be a fan of the game and follow the sport without supporting the garbage that is put on the field by this franchise, with the expectation that we will like it no matter what because we don't know any better. I mean we didn't even know what live music was until a few years ago. If you have the means travel to other games, see other stadiums, see what other game day experiences are like, and then see how it compares. I'll give you a hint..it doesn't. I haven't been to the new Falcons stadium yet, but the old Georgia Dome was a good experience. Our other rivals are worth a trip, and Jacksonville and Nashville aren't very far away either.

Leaf and Russell are the 2 big ones. Gabbert has a Superbowl ring with Tampa I believe.

I like the Dolphins chances this season. I think they need to win the East though, and avoid going somewhere cold and snowy and miserable in January. Those high-powered offenses have always seemed to freeze up a bit in winter weather.

Browns or Lions. If the Browns can do something without Watson, its an even better story.
