  1. I think you like Allen a little more than I do, but I do have to admit he has played better with Dorsey gone. Not sure if it's just a positive streak, or something more to it.
  2. Generally, you have sound ideas. This is 1, and it doesn't get mentioned enough. I agree, and I've read the posts where folks are stumping for Dalton, and I want to reply that Dalton wasn't brought here to play. Dalton doesn't want to play. Dalton has no intention of playing. If you look back on his career, how long he has played, and some of his thoughts and comments from some of his more recent stops, he is essentially done as a player. Now, I don't know if competition would bring out the best in Young or not, but it would at least be an option where they could sit him. Despite being heralded as a captain and starter in his rookie year, without having earned any of it, he is clearly not ready to start as-is. No argument that the team is a complete horror show from top to bottom, and there is precious little to actually help him in-game. But then we get into a slippery slope of whether or not he is a franchise qb.
  3. It's very admirable you are willing to still see how it will play out.
  4. It's not a myth at all. That's the very definition of franchise qb. Hence the word franchise. It's fine to not be in agreement. It's very admirable you are willing to still see how it will play out.
  5. CBS just had the graphic up that has the Jags at 1. Baltimore hasn't played yet, and I assume they will beat the Chargers though.
  6. He's no small part of it though. Pun intended. A franchise qb has the ability to be a tide that raises all ships, and he cannot do that, at all.
  7. As of right now, the road to the Superbowl in the AFC runs through Jacksonville.
  8. it is mathematically possible that they could still win it with a 7-10 mark.
  9. Jags win. Texans attempt 58 yard field goal to tie, it bounces off the crossbar.
  10. Well then, we know how that will go. There will be much argument about how much he is worth, or worthless, full of passion like it might mean the difference between keeping the lights on, or food on the table, or gas in the tank, finally ending in a offer that is 1 notch over the bottom floor of market value. When that offer is not accepted, he will be considered a bum.
  11. Steelers-Bengals was better than I thought it would be. Last few minutes of Jags-Texans now, Jags with the lead and driving.
  12. Don't worry true believers! Even if the Panthers lose this game, they can still win the division at 7-10. https://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
  13. ...better than Tepper. Not well enough to be a real contender though. Of course, we are in such a terrible an awful state that just about anything would be an improvement.
  14. Unfortunately, I don't think it matters how much ink is spilled telling this story about Tepper's meddlesome ways. As an example of such, the Cowboy's GM remains employed despite season after season after season of futility and disappointment.
  15. Steeler at Bengals on here. I'm not expecting much from a Burrow-less Bengals team though.
  16. New coach means new qb. They all want their guy. As stated in the post, I don't know what they would ask for him. What trade value do you think is there? Maybe they showcase him in the preseason, maybe they bench him at the bye for the replacement. Out with the old though.
  17. I don't disagree, but it doesn't change that he does have some potential, and he will be available.
  18. I would tend to agree. There are probably a few fans here and there that are hoping to have a told-you-so moment, and that chance may certainly come around soon.
  19. Howell will be available next season when they have a new coach. Don't know that they would want, or if he just is a cut, but he'll be available.
  20. Henry probably goes for about 300 on a dozen carries, sparking mvp talk again for a week.
  21. The mascot is a black cat. Don't know why some people continue to not believe.
  22. A rare MNF game with 2 really good teams. Usually it features some sad sack doormat team that no one cares about. Maybe the Panthers can get a couple of those spots over the next year or two.
  23. Smarty Marty would've 100% taken Parsons over Horn.
  24. Rhule was in over his head from the start. He was a college coach that should've stayed at the college level. He didn't hire himself though, so the real fault belongs with someone else.
  25. Completely pathetic, and completely true. It's a poo state of affairs. Tepper did a bangup job putting his stamp on the team.
