  1. Im not gonna pound the table for him, Im just good with whatever direction we go. I will say however he's better than a Jag. His stats suggest that he's in the range of Kirk Cousins/Dak Prescott. Maybe not a god, but hes a +2:1 TD to INT rate and you can win with him. I'd even argue that with what the rams did with Matt Stafford, an argument can be made that you can in fact win a superbowl with a guy like him if you put the correct pieces around him.
  2. Im so tired of hearing and seeing this every single year. It seems like in every draft I hear "these QBs are trash but next year all the good QBs will be there". In fairness, this isnt a slight just against you, A bunch of people do it, Im just tired of the take because we seemingly continuously put off taking a QB so we can get our guy next year, but next year never comes. At this point, Im ready to just bite the bullet and take a shot.
  3. Not to be that guy, but Duce won his super bowl as a player while playing for the steelers. I knew somethin was off because before 2017 the eagles hadnt won a title in like a billion years.
  4. Im fine goin get him, hes good and still in prime QB age range. He's had a poo situation with the raiders. When I look to elite QBs I look for the 2:1 ratio (2 tds for 1 INT) and he does that. Lets get him and invest in the rest with our draft picks.
  5. ehh, it did decide the game though, it made it impossible for the eagles to win. now you're right, chiefs would have kicked the FG, taken a 3pt lead and the defense very well could have shut the eagles down, but that was the ending stripped from every single non-biased fan by a window licking moron.
  6. wow...I doubted it, Im sorry the NFL is rigged. That was the most absurd fuging call, fuging wow.
  7. having Haynes and Burns on the field simultaneously will give a huge boost to our pass rush.
  8. I say take these pro bowlers, tie this all together with the combine and show where these all pro athletes measure to the young pups. Atleast that would be more exciting than whatever the pro bowl is now.
  9. Fwiw, I compare hurts to him since he's the only other qb I've seen successfully run power from the qb position.
  10. I've been saying that I enjoy watching Hurts because its so reminiscent of Cam. Lamar is a shifty runner, but Hurts is a power runner, and like Cam, he actually can run power, thats hugely useful from the QB position.
  11. Man, If I knew we'd be trading SF the QB they'd use in the NFC championship game, I'd have asked for more draft capital.
  12. This will be a story no matter what we want. I personally believe when Tepper talked to both and they laid out their plans for the future and I believe that Wilks mentioned his plan was to retain both Holcomb and Mcadoo, hes a Loyal dude and they helped him be successful this year, but without dramatic change in offensive philosophy it put tepper between a rock and a hard place. Insert Reich who has plans to bring in a bright young offensive mind while he himself was an offensive guy and theres the desired outcome he wanted. I dont think this particular decision was made based on race, it was made on the owners want for an offensive minded coach, and I frankly think he would have moved Wilks direction if Wilks would have been willing to make concessions on his coaching staff which FWIW, he did in Arizona and it caused the raging tire fire that it became, so it became a lose/lose for all involved. This is just my opinion on how things went down.
  13. yea hes a system QB right now, but so was Tom Brady. People forget that he wasn't asked to do poo his first couple years, just manage the game and let the defense and run game control the game. The thing is if you get a system QB and let him develop and learn in game all while still winning, then you absolutely do that.
  14. Olsen is the best thing that Fox has, but I will still say that Romo is tops and I didnt like him at QB, hes just really good in the booth.
  15. I wasnt a pound the table kind of guy for hurts, but I said from the beginning that I thought he could be a pretty good QB in the NFL and it was based partly on the fact that he had the physical tools necessary, but even more so that he had the resilience and leadership that you look for in a QB. In college he was benched in the national championship game, didnt complain, did his job, transferred and finished second in the heisman voting. He was just a born leader that people want to play for and THATS the kind of quality that when combined with physical tools translates in the NFL. now, no way on earth would I have guessed he'd be as good as he is, but still thought he'd be a good NFL qb.
  16. Vicks allowed his opinion, but stepping back and looking at it from Lamars position, he has no money guaranteed, playing on an injury jeopardizes him from collecting a big contract because the ravens have been reluctant to pay him. I think if he had a contract past this year, you'd bet he'd be out there, but because he would have to risk his next contract, he's thinking with his head not his heart. That said, I absolutely would love to see Lamar in panthers colors, especially if we go with wilks as a coach because the threat of him running while playing a power run game would be very good for us and the NFC south in general is not equipped to stop that kind of game.
  17. might as well run, apparently the refs will throw a flag if you even lightly brush herberts Hyman.
  18. I mean, its not out of the realm of possibility now. I will say this, if SOMEHOW Jacksonville comes back, sean payton will be coaching there next year.
  19. Im starting to think the jaguars might not win
  20. I'll eat my crow, I've never been as angry at a player as after that game because if the XP and FG hadn't been missed, the hail mary would have gone down as one of if not the best play of the entire season, but because we lost, its gonna be an afterthought in the grand scheme of things.
  21. Im not saying its what I would want, its what I think will happen. Tepper is a lot of things, but tepper IS patient as seen by sticking with ron and Rhule a year longer than he should have, that tells me what he saw from Wilks will be the kind of stability that he's willing to roll with. To add to that statement, remember he was open to the signing of Eric Reid who people had issues with because of his support for kaepernick, Im guessing he'd be in same boat in regards to supporting a minority candidate. I think Darnold is a guy that will be viewed as a bridge and richardson will be our pick because he possesses all the traits needed to be an elite QB and I have a feeling that during the combine a few teams (us being one) will fall in love with him, and part of one being us will be because I think we hire Brian Johnson who has history with him. Macadoo fits with what I said about wilks and stability, With the instability lately, I think Tepper wants someone to just stop the bleeding and I do think Wilks has some faith in him atleast in some capacity. Everything else seems like things that probably could happen. Again, not exactly the direction I would go, its just the direction that I think we will go.
  22. - Wilks retained as HC - Brian Johnson from Eagles signed as OC - Ben Macadoo kept on staff as QB coach (will help with brian johnson be eased into being an NFL OC for the first time) - Darnold resigned, 2 year, 11-12 mil - Anthony Richardson is the pick at #9, Brian Johnson has a history with him and can help his progression. - Foreman, Bozeman resigned - Shaq extended or cut. We improve slightly from this season with Darnold at the helm most of the season, Richardson gets some run at some point though with darnold having some injuries as he has every year of his career. 9-8/10-7 type season.
  23. to piggyback, I'd say 9ers in the NFC because I'd be happy to see CMC get the ring we'd never be able to get him.
