The more I look into and think about it, the more I want Bobby Slowik as our coach. What I thought about was Dan Quinn, he was hired in atlanta and looked amazing early, but what made him successful was having a good Offensive Coordinator, that OC was Kyle Shannahan. After he left, Dan Quinn began his downfall. A comparable situation is Demeco Ryans. Would the Texans be where they were without that impressive offense? I think Slowik is a high flying up and comer coming from the Shanahan coaching tree. One other benefit is that he and the Texans had plans around if Bryce would fall to them at 2 meaning to me he had some sort of plan for Bryce should he have been Houstons QB. Also he'd be 36, so basically the same age as Kyle was when he got the SF job. Pair him with Evero and lets roll.

one of those years we'll fall dick first into an accidental 9-8 playoff appearance and he'll claim all credit for the dramatic turnaround.

Thomas brown and his wife are already in their uhaul. good riddance to this entire abortion of a coaching staff/front office/season/most players.

2023 by a mile. We landed 2 HOF players with the draft picks we got because of those losing campaigns, this time we wont. each of those teams also had pieces to build around . who are we supposed to build around? Butthurt Burns? Bryce Young? Maaayybe Derrick brown, but hes about the only piece worth anything. There is absolutely zero reason for optimism going into next season.

Official final game of this wretched season GameDay thread
Carolina Cajun replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
man, we're 15 minutes from an unbreakable record as the only team no never have a lead in the 4th quarter. I'll be fine if we win on a walk off touchdown, at this point I just want the streak cuzz why not. if we're bad, lets be historically bad -
Applaloosa Management is still looking good

FINALLY, a billionaire gets a break! -
He's not on the list but with the similarities in stature and mobility I would not be surprised at all this offseason to see the panthers sign Russel Wilson. It would help giving Young a guy in the room who is similar in stature and playstyle while we tailor the offense around those kind of strengths, but that's just my hunch. I think we'll make one big splash and itll be at receiver. I think we make a run at Tee Higgins and itll be a matter of whether he wants to win, or if he wants to get paid. He'll get paid coming here, but if theres a comparable offer anywhere else I cant see him saying yes to us, so there will have to be significant overpay. If Higgins falls through, We'll make a run at Evans or Ridley. I think we'll get one or the other. I also think we try to take in a high upside reclamation project like Chase Claypool on a prove it contract (probably similar to DJ Charks Contract). O-line is gonna depend on the coach and scheme, we'll pick some low hanging fruit and hope one or 2 pan out because unfortunately thats the way you have to in the NFL with a lack of available O-Line talent.

Mingo done for the year with foot injury
Carolina Cajun replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not saying that we didn't overdraft him (I agree), but He has shown some flashes and the tape has looked decent. Just like Bryce, until he gets a coaching staff that isn't licking windows and eating paint chips its hard to truly evaluate him. Steve Smith did an entire segment breaking him down and I saw some really positive flashes, but its gonna take competent coaching and improved talent around him to be able to show up. I mean, Tank Dell looks like an absolute stud, but in fairness he benefitted from being able to work a limited route tree, having a VERY good Nico Collins opposite, and a much better O-line than anything we have here. -

List of all the bad things Tepper has done
Carolina Cajun replied to TeppersEgos's topic in Carolina Panthers
For all the talk about firing coaches midseason, its important for people to remember that Rivera was kept a year too long and same can be said for Rhule. Only real surprise kneejerk firing was Reich. All 3 decisions were the right decision but at the wrong time. -
honestly, I was thinking about that yesterday. The team I grew to love is just gone. Theres no semblence of toughness on the team. I dont see a player that I think would perservere through adversity. Hell, even in our bad spots, we had guys we felt like we could get behind as really good role models, but we dont even have that (Not saying players dont give back, they absolutely do, but none that are above and beyond). I hope they give us a reason to pull for them in the next few years rather than just the logo they have on their helmet.

-1. We lose so bad one week that we actually owe the NFL an extra game as punishment. fug this shitty management and ownership. -
David Tepper appears to throw a drink at a jaguars fan

Anyone in the stands who would do something like that would be banned from games for life...instead he's the owner of our team. We really are the clowniest of clown shows. -
Scott Fitterer needs to be fired now, it cannot wait
Carolina Cajun replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
there is literally nothing left for him to do, I understood holding on to make roster moves until the end of the season, but with 1 week left, what we have is what we have, just fire the fuger and move on. -
Did the wide receivers magically get good?
Carolina Cajun replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I dont think they got good, I do think Mingo has progressed really well (although wasnt a big factor today), but Chark in particular is showing up because he knows he has to do something if he wants to have a job next season. -
honestly, thats a testament to the run game. Hard Running softened the defense (like how real offenses run). Its nice to feel like I have real hope.

For all that is holy please let this season end GameDay Thread
Carolina Cajun replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
312 2 TDs, kid looked very good today. Granted bad defense, but I dont care, Just seeing a REAL reason to believe is huge. -
thats like saying the colts hit rock bottom with Reich last year, might as well try jeff saturday. There is a bottom beneath this if you can believe. Look, I love cam, like Cam is too good for what this franchise gave him. He became that icon he said he wanted to be WHILE carrying our franchise and being broken by inept coaching. That said, He's an athlete and an entertainer. The problem is not that we have to hire new people, its that Dave Tepper needs to keep his ass out of peoples decisions. He hires and sticks with yes men, so if we get real football people with real backbones to make real decisions without a testicle headed owner looming over them and things will change.

Its almost like when you commit to a smash mouth football gameplan because thats the strength of the O-line we have while having running as the primary focus and let your rookie QB learn as the second line of defense instead of focusing your entire gameplan around throwing the ball 500 times a game, sometimes your rookie QB can look decent. WHO WOULDA THOUGHT.
