  1. In fairness, early drew brees is similar to early bryce. Watch his highlights from San diego, you'll see a lot of stuff 10-20 yards, not many deep passes, efficient but not elite. It all changed when he got to New Orleans with Sean Payton. Fwiw, I don't think it'll happen and it's because brees was FAR MORE of a fiery competitor than bryce. Brees would talk poo, he'd hype the huddle, and he rallied the guys a d part of that drive helps motivate himself to elevate his game. Bryce is too much of a "oh shucks...well get em next time" guy.
  2. Im fine with this, I want the guys determined. People are only critical because we've been ass for so long. We loved the fire of players wanting stuff like this when we were good. This is Cam Newton from the atlanta game back in 2017. Its ok for the coach to hear the players passion and let them take charge. It works 2 ways, it lets players take ownership over the team, makes them FULLY responsible for their actions, but flipside, if it goes wrong, next time it happens, the coach will just go "remember that time". Its just like any business at that point. If you want employees to work hard, they need to feel invested in the product and just like that its good that the team feels like they have a stake in the game.
  3. I said this on Twitter responding to someone, they were like "well, how do you propose making offensive line weakness better" and I just answered, its simple. Run. The. Ball. Grinding the ball running is simple. Passing game can require a lot of thinking, blocking schemes and such. If you dedicate to run game, it simplifies the O-line assignments, hat on a hat. See man, hit man. It will flow off of that, if you establish that run game it makes the playaction more effective, it makes them more hesitant to focus on pass rush. Run the ball.
  4. the runs happened AFTER bryces mistakes. We need to grind more early. That drive to set up the XL td, it was all run, it was us imposing our will and simplifying the playbook for the O-line. See man, hit man, the end. Next play, same.
  5. we're....we're gonna throw something in bounds and get no points as time runs out of the half arent we?
  6. Rico lookin really good. Thats what happens when you dont abandon the run game.
  7. Scourton gonna start finishing those pressures at some point, hes gonna be special.
  8. Bruh, na gun brrfgfuffjg *Insert more country slang* fried coon boy yeaaaa.
  9. Damn, coming off his 2 best games of the season, XL back to normal XL things.
  10. Make a wish kid #2 Xavier Legette fuging up...again. glad he didnt learn anything
  11. he legit couldnt see. The replay showed him literally on his tippy toes. Its over, Bryce is NOT an NFL QB. Unless he finds a way to get 2-3 inches taller, its over, period.
  12. Dont worry guys, Im sure we'll hear them say the phrase again. "We had a good week of practice". As people said in response to my thread earlier this week...Ass sharpens ass.
  13. I dunno if its happened in the modern NFL, but I'll be interested to see if we can break a record and be down 3 scores at half in 4 of our first 5 games.
  14. LOLLOLOLOL "team focused on why they were bad in the 2nd quarter"....big brain move, they said fug waiting, we can be bad in the first quarter too!
  15. Theres the negative play, Bryce is toast for the rest of the day, he doesnt recover, he lives in his own head.
  16. Didnt in the first 2 weeks, just recency bias. Week 1 and 2 looked trash ending in awful turnovers.
  17. "we've seen a bunch of improvement from bryce young" lolwut?
