  1. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone has any strong opinion on the guy. Negatively or positively. He hasn’t gotten an opportunity to be good or bad. Albeit unless you count that very short stint we saw in preseason.
  2. I’m good, lol. Obviously HOU or IND have to pay pennies compared to us. Deal with them. Not buying your soup.
  3. I refuse to believe any report or this or that until a trade is made or until draft night. It makes no sense for the panthers to show their hand this early in the game. It’s good to hype up “panthers aren’t interest in Richardson” junk , maybe it’ll entice teams to not think they have to jump us for him.
  4. I may be the most anti Stroud member on this board. Not any fault of his either. I just see an inevitable “solid” qb in the making. Not one that could change and lead a franchise. I’d rather swing a little bigger on any of the other three. Just my preference.
  5. I think Dexter or Mazi would be great at NT for us. Mazi specifically has great size and led all dt in bench I believe. Don’t care about the off field thing.
  6. Trading THREE FIRSTS FOR DAK is hilarious. He played in the big10 with constant WR1s. Why do we ignore this? Did Bryce play with Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxson Smith Njigba, Marvin Harrison Jr, Emeka Egbuka… who are all first round WR! Does levis? Does ar? We are not surrounding Stroud with this talent gap and how do we know Stroud makes something out of nothing? Yeah, fine, cherry pick numbers but ignore all other circumstances. Fields had a 68.5 rating, paced for 3600 passing yards, had a 67-9 td/int ratio in college and yet we passed on that for a CB! (Which I’m happy we did because horn is a dogs dog). Yet Fields gets into the nfl and there is no improvement and the team is picking first , two years later. Why? Because the cast you put around these qb matter! Unfortunately this team doesn’t have the talent around him to emulate what happened at OSU. We don’t have Garrett Wilson, Olave, MHJR, JSN, or anything of that nature. We have solid and sturdy Dj Moore and trending to bust TMJR ( who I feel can turn it around). By not having these firsts, how are we helping out Stroud? “2024 cap space” which is FOURTEENTH best in the NFL? Where is our Chase? Where is our Hill and Kelce? Where is our Stefon Diggs? I do not doubt that Stroud will be a SOLID NFL QB. But I sincerely do not see franchise potential and we will not be able to surround him with premier talent.
  7. This is a terrible, terrible argument. Luke Kuechly, JC Horn, Ikem, Burns, Brown, Moore, Shaq*, Mccaffrey, Cam, and Star were all more than worth it. You can’t cherry pick three random players from 13, 8 and 7 years ago and say “first round picks aren’t worth it”. Everyone wanting this firmly believes Stroud is the franchise savior, I just don’t see it. Where are we getting this franchise saving profile from? He’s good, for sure, but he’s not this home run, knock it out of the park and forget it. In fact, would it shock anyone if he ends up being a Dak level qb? Why aren’t more people on board with keeping future capital intact and taking (more than likely) the available Richardson or Levis. IF Rodgers moved to LV, I don’t think we have to move at all. Sorry, I guess I’m just not fully on board with having no real capital for the next three years.
  8. Didn’t he also toss in Goff as a comp as well? I just think we should temper Stroud expectations just slightly is all.
  9. I personally disagree on this segment entirely. I think he’s got the highest floor with a relatively lower ceiling than the other three (due to the physical stature of Richardson and Levis and the brain and processor of Young). I see the lowest variance in Strouds game (which isn’t a bad thing).
  10. It’s pretty easy to piece that puzzle together, lol. The other half just ride the wave of what everyone else is saying and doing to make themselves seem like they know what they’re talking about.
  11. I partially think I’m also attached to our firsts because it’s a yearly bbq at my place with all my buddies (live in NJ and have friends of all teams) and the next two years would be empty haha. That with I’m a little less sold on stroud than most. But I do absolutely trust and love the braintrust behind the team now.
  12. I think we will agree to disagree on pricing, which is fine. Differing opinions on an online forum are healthy, lol.
  13. So what do you think it costs to move up and take the qb you think the team likes?
  14. It doesn’t matter what lines me you or the media read between. It’s all up to Reich and Fitt. They HAVE to know, coming out with lofty reports of being in love with a certain prospect in a position where we are, is purely bad business. They very well may love Stroud, why say “we’ll do whatever it takes to get em”. What good does that do for the franchise? Hikes up the asking price of every team in front of us. I sincerely hope the FO takes an honest and diligent approach to what they want to do, not just come out early March after the underwear Olympics and publicly announce our future is mortgaged.
  15. I don’t believe this report. There’s been reports on damn near everyone.
  16. Once again; Fields dropped to where he did and the entire class last year dropped further than any media led us onto believe. Obviously this class is different but it’s been proven that media vs front offices do share different perspectives. What good does it do for Reich and Fitt to come out say we really trade everything for Stroud or anyone?
  17. Exactly this. Media hype is blowing this out of proportion. The fact that none of them are really separating themselves all that much (all have great reports in their own rights) helps us in terms of being able to be patient.
  18. And we’re still 14th in the nfl in that department. These draft picks matter. Why are we predetermined to throw these picks away? We should all agree that sitting at 9 is optimal (look how the nfl treated Fields) and letting the board naturally fall.
  19. You were off of him already because the consensus told you to. It’s the “cool” thing to do. Don’t scapegoat a very mild joke into a big deal.
  20. Yeah people are pretty simple. “I don’t want him, take him off of my board” for an obvious joke. But won’t say a peep when their Dak clone looks up to Vick and Watson. Hypocrisy is funny lol.
