I get that he has Jameson who couldn’t crack the OSU starting lineup and middle of the road Metchie (prayers), but I mean … Marvin Harrison JR, Garrett Wilson who won ROTY with Zach Wilson as qb, Chris Olave putting up 1000 with Andy Dalton, JSN in 2021, and Egbuka being a carbon copy of JSN… if ya bring up Gibbs- also bring up Henderson because he goes first or second for RB next year. Let’s all stop pretending the things around people don’t matter. Ask Justin Fields how much it hurts not having adequate WR around him. 67-9 td int in college to 24-21 in the nfl. Obviously it’s on him large part too. But I bet you this year it looks better for em than last. THIS is the issue I’ve drawn from Stroud ALL year. We’ve seen the ceiling for the talent around him that he’ll ever play with (we won’t ever supplement what OSU did for him) and when things are meh to ok, what is he? We don’t know.

No one aside from maybe Burrow was surrounded by more and better nfl level talent.

And Stroud has had easily the best. Evident by having two top 5 tackles coming out this draft and a top three center. Bryce line WAS significantly inferior in comparison. Neal was the only blue chip (maybe Latham at G but he played RT). Youngs been tested. Have the size concerns, have the arm strength concerns, that’s all fine and fair. Let’s stop pretending that Stroud and Young played under similar circumstances. They didn’t. Jameson Williams leaves OSU because the wr room was too crowded. Goes to Alabama. Beats the BEST UGA defense and maybe best college defense assembled. In that title game he loses Jameson (already didn’t have Metchie) and very well may have beat that UGA team again with SOMETHING available at WR. Stroud went up against a UGA defense that was still very good- but didn’t have to face- Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Trayvon Walker, Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker, Channing Tindall, Lewis Cine, and even Nolan Smith who was out with injury. If we’re gonna hold Young accountable for the unfortunate things he can’t control, we have to hold Stroud to the same accountability.

It’s the only thing he’s ever done. I’ve never seen someone in high positions know nothing about the sport.

I’m very, very high on Young. If I’m moving down, it’s gonna be for damn near close to what we paid, just because we know how badly they’d want Young. Not doing this for a couple of thirds. It’s NOT gonna happen but I’m asking for 2, 12, and 2024 1st. Crazy? Yes. But rip someone else off for once.

I don’t think so. I think Stroud will inevitably be a Colt and they’ll be able to pair him with MHJR and get a 2 for 1 legacy add with the franchises best wr’s kid and strouds number one target.
