If no more high price tag names come, we should extend Moton,Burns, and or Moore to front load a contract and have them not be astronomical numbers come 2-3 years from now.
-
Id be highly happy with that. This OT crop is so stacked.

I like the idea of taking leatherwood, radunz, Carman, or mayfield round 2. This is the rare draft to get a franchise ish piece at tackle in round 2.
-
The baggage plus potential substantial draft pick jackpot they’d hit, no thanks.

I think a trade up only happens if a blue chip does slip.
-
If we sign em... I think our draft trajectory should go : Qb, then T, then DT(maybe Nixon falls here). Maybe take a shot on Brevin Jordan.
-
The defense definitely won’t look boring.. hope it wasn’t a bank breaker.
-
Yeah, stay satisfied with the whole two backup olineman we purged. I said on the cheap. God forbid we have any hope in a player.
-
I low key kinda want Clowney on the cheap. Playing with Burns, Brown, YGM on pass rush would look sick.

Can we start a thread specifically for New England?

I wouldn’t hate it as a dart throw. I actually watched a ton of Bears games (because of my bets, lol) and he didn’t get a ton of help. Obviously he isn’t perfect, but, aside from a target laden (and I think partially slightly overrated) Allen Robinson, he’s had minimal help and bad situations. I’m not saying he’s perfect or the solution, but, the media and his draft situation will never give em a chance. I’d put em in that “see what ya got” category, like Minshew. Just no more Bridgewaters please (like Jimmy G).

Teddy Bridgewater likely on the outs in Carolina
Eric4280 replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thank you! Been screamin his name for about 3 months haha. Either hell flame out and we’re in Howell / rattler position. Or he’ll be highly productive. I see no middle. And that’s what we need. Take us to that game or take us to someone that will. None of this 6-10 to 9-7 bologna. -

Report: 49ers called Panthers about Teddy Bridgewater
Eric4280 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Take em for a fifth and flip that fifth for Gardner! And then still draft as if you need a QB. Be in a much better place. -
Playing for Lamar is a lot different than most QB. Defenses couldn’t open their tool boxes to rush Lamar. Hence making it easier to block for em. Id also keep moton.

I wish I knew. As soon as it happened I knew we’d be picking 8-12 th.

PFT: Seahawks want three #1 as starting point for Wilson trade.

I guess it’s the off-season of 3 firsts.. -
Peter King on Panthers and Deshaun Watson

Man, that package is garbage. 4 picks , cmc, Anderson, the bowl of oatmeal and potentially burns? Pass. -
Restructure contacts to free up more cap. Bridgewater, Shaq, etc.
Eric4280 replied to razorwolf's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s pretty amazing that the defense alone wasn’t ranked 32nd for losing Kuechly and Bradberry, changing HC and DC, drafting 7 new defensive players, having no training camp or preseason, and going up against Brady, Ryan, and Brees 6 times. I’m impressed at where we are in the rebuild. And you’re absolutely right. Just take whatever lumps we need to take this year, heck we still have a quite solid cap number considering like half the league is in the red. Come back next year with less dead cap and poorly contracted players off books. -
I think if we go BPA aside from Lance , I could see it shaping up- 1- Lance . 2- OT. 3- G/C or CB. 4- DE or TE. Drafts super rich in the things we need & we’ve this newly fixed cap , so I’m pretty optimistic.

The longer this goes on, the worse the package for Watson gets. I just don’t see teams throwing down entire futures. What good would Watson be if we had an even more gutted defensive side of the ball AND no picks?
