  1. I really really hope this whole experience humbled Tepper into slowing down and doing it the right way. No reason to pay top dollar for someone like Baker or Jimmy now. If we really want a stop gap, just sign Mariota for cheap or something and let the cards fall how they will. Having capital in the next draft will do us wonder. Not a faulted QB that isn’t gonna elevate the team. (on this Willis train btw, I see this is a hot topic now lmao).
  2. We barely got BC or brown reps, those two alone (plus Corbett) could mean a world of difference.
  3. 34 and hasn’t played since 2016. ooooook.
  4. Why even let it be that expensive? We’ve pretty much all the leverage here. Teams that want/need QBs got theirs and it’s essentially a limited market now. Use that to our advantage and stop looking so damn desperate lol.
  5. Such a criminal between this and the obvious legal theft he pulled 4 days ago.
  6. I don’t know about y’all. I really wanna trade down and take one of Corral or Howell (Willis hype probably gets too high and hopefully someone takes small hands before we can if we do trade down) and also nab someone like Kenyon Green or Zion Johnson or whichever tackle falls (between Penning and Raimann).
  7. Love the thread! Been going back and fourth on what ID want honestly. It changes almost daily. 1) Still that trade down (prefer to nab Phillys earlier and later firsts and take an OL and BPA or best qb available before Pitt can). 2) Ikem Ekwomu. Nasty, a need, super talented. Think he’d fit nicely next to Brady. Up to the staff to decide which is the better tackle, which is the better guard. Both SEEM tweeners in a weird way. 3) Malik Willis. I anticipate the combine makes his value rise and in doing so, doesn’t “make” this feel like a reach of a pick. Not the perfect player but I’ll be damned if he’s not interesting and oozing with upside for our next head coach. 4) Evan Neal/ Kyle Hamilton. Neal would be number one, if I thought we had a shot at him. Nasty, size, winning program. Kyle Hamilton brings a fun complex to this team… fills a need, not the most important need, but I’m excited to see what he can do at FS. 5) Not Kenny Pickett. Just don’t make the pick Kenny Pickett please. I don’t want an older, later blooming, limited and flawed player. He’s damn near darnolds age, what’s the REAL growth with the guy?
  8. Let’s say we don’t take Pickett instead.
  9. Is it me or does anyone else really not want Cross?
  10. I’ve seen what I’ve needed .
  11. I’m absolutely sold on Willis or Howell. Obviously a bit lower on Corral. Absolutely no Pickett, please.
  12. I kinda really want Willis, as risky as it sounds.
  13. Salute to a great. The great actually. Gets a lot of hate, warranted or unwarranted. His retirement seems like the end of an era altogether and hits in that nostalgic part.
  14. What about the games against the chiefs and ravens where Burrow threw for like 400 yards a piece? Or are we just gonna credit the wr this time? The job of a QB is to take care of what you need to take care of on your side of the ball. The Bengals defense isn’t “carrying” him. Stop acting like it is. The dudes in his second year and in the AFC championship game. Without him, they’re not in it. Period. They’re also not in with any of those mediocre names you decided to compare him to (besides Herbert; who will have his time). Did you like bet on the titans or something? I don’t get it. Burrow isn’t perfect, but I’d feel damn good if he were our quarterback.
  15. The o line looked like ours. I bet our garbage pile wouldn’t have kept that game nearly close. Winners win. He did what he needed to do to beat the one seed on the road. Keep your stats.
  16. What QB would you guys want if we did have an actual plan and confidence on the OL?
  17. We definitely pick in front of that bears/giants pick right?
  18. I just feel like it’s not all THAT hard to be an owner. Every single one of us recognize that this teams severely lacking from bad decisions and lack of effort or direction on the field. It needs someone that’s good at something. Matt Rhule is good at nothing and it shows. But he’s retained.
