I think he’d have a decent chance to win a Natty but I think next years class qb caliber is gonna bump him down stock wise and I doubt his ceiling changes.

Kick em while there down: NFL All pro first team
Eric4280 replied to PootieNunu's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel like Surtain is hands down the most overrated CB in the league. Not bad by any means but I’d certainly rather have Horn than him. -
Pff top 100 draft picks in 2023 draft as of week 11
Eric4280 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I saw a mock yesterday, from somewhere reputable . Had us taking Nolan Smith in the second. I’d be elated if that were possible. -
Which qb that’ll be available for us to trade up for is worth 3 firsts?
-
I’m getting on the Johnston train. See what you have in Corral, if he flames out, we’re in position for Caleb, Maye, Ewers, or Penix.
-
It doesn’t. People cling onto “winning matters over everything” mantra regardless of everything. Did we win with Terrace going 7/100 and a TD? No. Did Burns go for 4 sacks and show dominance? No. Did a young rb that won’t be on the free agency pool next offseason pop off? No. This was a stupid “proving point” for those that want wins over anything. Nothing good came of this game. Can’t wait to get Dallas, Green Bay, and Seattle next year instead of Arizona, Chicago, and Washington. But at least they “won”!

Because they’ve good trading assets and accept their lumps and build things the right way. When’s the last time we had the chance to change the franchise or get ahead? Every team either builds with extra capital or buys themselves something that puts them over the top. We have nothing. No future coach interest, as that was shot down and we were fed interest of FRANK REICH AND JIM CALDWELL. Do we happen to have extra picks laying around in the future? Nope. If you REALLY wanna count those basically 3rd, 4th, and 5ths we got for the face of the franchise , fine. One step forward and two steps back. Cmc leaving “opened up others to learn and grow” lol no. Instead of forcing it to cmc 45 times a game, we’ll evenly split free agent running backs while Marshall gets a target or 2 a game.

I just don’t get it. I’ll take one year of absolute sucking and get a cornerstone piece to build on. Start building an identity. But nah we’ll be picking 8th constantly and forever and convince the fans that Chuba Hubbard and Donta Foreman are things to get us excited for and will bring us to the promised land. I cannot WAIT to unleash Blackshear on the nfl next year. They won’t be ready for us. Absolutely pathetic.

We can’t coach to win either , that’s the problem. We’re always gonna be 4 teams below average.
-
Bring in Reich or Caldwell at this point. The teams gonna be locked into 8th worst team in the nfl forever. Not good enough to make any noise. Not bad enough to get someone that’ll make a difference. Bring on below average coaches to replace a below average fill in that took over for the worst coach in the history of coaches. Keep forcing this stupid way of playing and throw the ball 8 times a game. Dj Moore will never get to fully show off his ability because we’d rather run the ball 700 times a game with journeyman running backs. It’s the same crappy , yearly carousel. Wait another year , get a little up or a little down, end up picking from 7th to 9th regardless. This is garbage.

Official Panthers at Saints let's get this over with GameDay thread
Eric4280 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why. Does. This. Dumb. Team. Always. Do. This. Good lord this is ended up being the worst season. Won every game we had no business in. Lost every game we had “hype” for. I give up. -
Report: Panthers to interview Jim Caldwell, Frank Reich
Eric4280 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Does this franchise ever want to do anything to excite the fanbase? Why are always stuck with locking into maybe mediocrity? -
Disappointing player of the year award?
Eric4280 replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I honestly have no idea what to make of Chinn at this point. -
1 catch on 10 targets is mind boggling.
-
We’re out of the top 3 anyways, only three guys worth getting excited for to me. Stroud looks like a flaccid Dak. I’m not interested and he barely looks interested either. If we ended up being 4th or whatever and take something we need, it’d be considered a reach. The player we want may be there at spot 4 or spot 15. We’ll see how it plays out.

Odd timing with SF needing SOMETHING at qb..

Matt Rhule: “I wish I never took the job”
Eric4280 replied to CashNewton22's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don’t know if I commented in this already, but likewise. Wish you never had an opportunity. -
Probably don’t have a chance at Young and genuinely don’t want Stroud, so I’m not really gonna stress draft positioning, still. At least we’re not Denver. They’re in for a rough 3-4 years.
-
I don’t know if it’s been discussed- would anyone hate taking Rattler later?
-
I think we should all stop wasting time trying to predict the jostling of positioning in early November. Take what we can naturally get and let the cards play out in April.
-
I feel pretty bad for Foreman (and most RB). Dude got hit like 30 times yesterday and can’t net more than a one year , 1 million dollar deal. It’s the nature the position, I know, but man… the dudes been through it all, has a hard timeline ahead of em, and can’t net a real contract. I can’t help but root for em.

This is one of our more “winnable” games left on schedule. We’ve got like 7 games left, the teams picking ahead of us will win games too. Houston is in a terrible division as well. I think the most telling games for pick positioning will be those DET/PITT games. We weren’t gonna finish 2-15. Houston won’t either. Let the season finish out before throwing depressed negativity at everything.

Whine if we win, whine if we lose. Probably what happened
