Was one of my favorite safeties during the golden age of safety- love the hire.

NFL.com ranks Carolina 2022 draft class as worst in NFC South

Can’t be this critical of any of these guys when they’ve had 1/2 a season of Matt Rhule coaching. Pretty bad hand to be dealt. -
Todd McShay seems to really like Anthony Richardson

If Reich, Caldwell, McCown, AND Brown are on board, I’m not gonna sit behind a keyboard and pretend I know more than that braintrust. If it were last regime on the other hand.. -
If we’re not taking QB and that’s the crop of players left, I’d really like Witherspoon or Gonzalez. Elite young CB on both sides would be dirty.
-
Has to. He’s more than a body eater and not big enough for constant double teams. Maybe he can provide a little of what Hayward for PIT does.
-
I think we need to nab Mazi or Gervon in round two as our nose tackle. I don’t think /want Brown excels in a Nt role. I’m a lot less worried about ILB than I am with the hand in dirt players.
-
I genuinely think Stroud will be there later than we think and won’t cost a move up to one.
-
I think we’ll agree to disagree on our opinions on this, which is fine, whatever this professional staff decides to do, I’ll trust.
-
So if Reich and co stay out at 9 and take whichever fall of Levis or Ar15, will you trust the staff as well?
-
Where is our Boyd or Higgins? Assuming any of these two guys is Burrow, we’re just gonna say Stroud and Bryce are Burrow? Also stop putting words in my mouth, Stroud or Bryce with this current crew of WR is gonna be equivalent of Burrow with his stable?
-
Once again, that’s also your opinion. I feel like we shouldn’t move future capital investments for a qb similar caliber we can likely wait on. I watch bengals games as much as I watch Panthers games, Burrow without Chase isn’t the burrow we see now. Not taking away from Burrow but Batman needs his Robin and I don’t think our team has the personnel to do what CIN did. Unless we expect DJM to jump into elite ranks.
-
The differences between these guys isn’t worth future investment, for different reasons.
-
I literally said not complaining. More like sipping wine and watching.
-
Really potentially weird one, lol. Not complaining just wonder how 89 feels.
-
I know it’s a product of my excitement but … I don’t know if I’d take another staff over this one potentially..

Really prefer not seeing Caleb in Tampa for the next 10+ years.

Is this team in a position to win with no Burns, no first next year, or no seconds? Bryce to ME , is very damn good. I mean I think he’s got “it”. But he will not have a ton of help around him because of that pick handicap. Go on the defensive side of the ball. As polarizing as Burns is, he’s vital to what we do. Why can’t we just sit pat and take one of the four that will be available or take on someone like Carr and keep the small amount of extra picks we have. None of those QB come without a ton of positives and real negatives (some more than others) Bryce very well may not be able to handle physicality of the nfl, that’s something I absolutely do not wish for, but it’s a possibility. CJ, who I think I’m the only semi low guy on, may just end up being middle of the pack. Sure the Georgia game was a nice stamp, but I’m not gonna discount that he was throwing to HANDS down the best wr in college football last year and 2 first rounders the year prior. I think his bust potential is low but I think his upside isn’t MASSIVE. I see a lot of Dak play style similarities. Levis and Richardson have the top physical traits in this class in different ways and maybe our new coaching school sees that they can work with the traits vs the more ready product. If it were as clear as Trevor in 2021, then MAYBE you gut your future and build on this. But I just don’t see THAT much separating these 4 prospects (and obviously a guy like Bryce is leaps and bounds a better qb now and more polished than an AR15) to just rid of assets. We haven’t had a full draft in a few years and still don’t have our early third this year. Sooner or later, it’s gonna catch up to us and we’re gonna have holes all over the place for a marginally better than the rest qb that we can’t surround with talent.
-
Not gonna stress any of this- just let the dominos fall. We’ve competent guys in place that will assess the situation. Unlike when the greasy car salesman was here and we had to hope he read this message board to get advice.
-
I think it depends on traction for AROD to LV. If say GB has that pick, I think they’ll be wanting just whatever premium talent they can get. I really think we organically end up with stroud if HOU falls in love with Levis. It’s gonna be a fun off season.
-
Staying put for Levis/AR> trading for Bryce >trading for Stroud. Renner has stroud organically falling to us at 9, which I’ll take. Can’t kill our future for a trade we probably don’t have to make.
-
Is this what Reich meant when he said he had guys ready for coordinator spots? Sheesh. And yes I was a complainer with losing out on Fangio, but this bombardment of great hires, more than makes up for it.
-
I’m absolutely not down to do a burns and 9 to move up to a pick ahead of us. I’d ask Chicago to toss in picks. Premier pass rushers (which you find him overrated or not) are extremely hard to find. Even this class that’s “deep on edge” isn’t really THAT deep outside of Will, Wilson( who I am low on), Murphy, van ness and my personal favorite , Nolan Smith. I hope all teams involved realize that a 2 first and 1 second round pick offer was declined and would only incentivize them to increase offers. It’s time for US to do some gaining in that depth. Everyone else does it. Hell, I’ve been seeing crap where the Texans give up 2 -2nds just to move up one spot. If you’re gonna move Burns, it’s gotta be a haul. Nothing on the cheap. Nothing where we just move up and don’t get opportunities of replacement.

That is ridiculous. The good kind of ridiculous. The kind you see winning things. Beyond excited to see what we pull off.
