  1. Better start praying that we can somehow hold teams to 1 goal or less in the playoffs. Not sure we have the offense to consistently score 3+ goals against the power Eastern conference teams.
  2. Man Necas has put this team in his backpack and carried them so much this year. Glad to see him doing so well this year after being frustrated at how afraid he was to shoot last year.
  3. You must have been watching different games then. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DarnSa00/gamelog/2022/ He had a QB rating of 100+ in 4 of the 6 games and did everything we pretty much asked of him, despite bums like (insert every TE we have and WR not named DJ or Shenault) dropping passes or having no clue how to run a route. His yards/attempt were pretty high in 4 of those games also, which suggests that it wasn't just dump offs for short gains. Again, he is a game manager. It just boggles my mind that people can't comprehend that he played well for us last season, minus the Saints game.
  4. I think 2 of those fumbles were via awful snaps and then there was the 1 where Icky got blown by vs. the Bucs that Sam never had a chance on. I do think a lot of Sam's sacks/fumbles happened because he seemed to drop back way too deep in the pocket at times last season. I'm not sure if that was a Sam thing or if that was a McDooDoo thing. And Sam Darnold was far from a liability last season. The dude was above average or better in all but the Saints game last season. If you want to argue the run game or defense carried, then so be it. But he (and DJ) pretty much single-handedly kept us in the Bucs game despite Mike Evans running free every play...
  5. Honestly, I think SJ's GM is an idiot and a dick. I hope we never make any trade with SJ as long as that schmuck is their GM. I feel bad for Sharks fans because they all know they got trade raped in that Timo trade. Seems like most of them don't like their GM. They are going to be a bottom 5 NHL team for at least the next few years.
  6. Yep, which is why I kind of wish we would just be sellers. We are going to lose a fair amount of our players after next season. If we aren't trying to get better, then we need to start looking at trying to build our best team in a few years. It sucks our owner and GM are cheapskates...
  7. So we traded for a turd... Maybe he will pull a Domi and score a hat trick in game 7 for us while doing jack poo the rest of the season...
  8. Pretty well said and exactly describes our current ownership. And we will pretty much always be good enough to make the playoffs, but will always lose in the first or second round. Rinse and repeat...
  9. I don't think there is any way the Bears seek less than a 1st for Fields. And even if that trade were on the table, it's still a hard pass.
  10. Not really cup or bust for them. Well I'm not sure they keep Timo long term, the guys they traded away were nothing more than bottom tier 3rd liners/4th liners or prospects that would probably never make it for them. NJ will be very good the next several years, with or without Timo. I feel bad for sharks fan. They got absolutely fleeced in this deal and outside of the draft picks got nothing worthwhile. They are going to be Yotes/Ducks level bad for at least the next 5 years
  11. If that is the case, San Jose needs to be on our "never trade with them" list. Their GM is a moron and I don't foresee him being with them beyond a few years when they are still trying to rebuild off getting fourth liner level prospects trading away their best player
  12. Sounds like from the rumor mill that SJ didn't get any of NJD's top prospects, which is just crazy for someone of Meier's value (Sharks fans also were unhappy they gave away Harrington)... This is worse than Vegas receiving future considerations for Patches
  13. That is a lot for 4 spots (I know there would probably be a bidding war for that pick though). I would like to think 9 and 39 or 9 and next year's 1st would be enough. I think the teams behind us in the draft (that need a QB) would have to give away a ton to beat that out. The question would come down to what LV or ATL would offer to try and get a QB (if ATL wants one).
  14. Well, if that is the case, San Jose deserves to be as irrelevant as they always have been and will continue to be
  15. At this point, since we aren't going to trade for anyone, we might as well be sellers and ship players off... There is no way in hell we are competing against the devils, rangers, bruins, maple leafs, and you could probably throw in the lightning also for at least the next two years. I would take all of those teams over us in a playoff series
  16. Sounds like Wilson has a case of Napoleon complex... I've always hated him and figured he was a big phony. I think he is proving me more and more right each passing day.
  17. We also are lacking depth at pretty much every position, outside of maybe oline. So when (what seems like) the inevitable injury happens to one of those premium players, there is a significant drop-off in talent.
  18. 100% this Sadly, I'm on the train of don't go QB if young or stroud are gone, but let's not pretend the same thing won't happen next year with williams and maye (who I'm not sold on), and the a few other guys that will be the same tier as Levis and Richardson predraft...
  19. CJ stroud falls to us at #9 Ill also take trading up to #6 for our 1st and the SF 2nd rounder we have Unfortunately neither will happen
  20. RBs that are elite at both running and receiving are the only RBs I would even consider in the 1st round. I personally wouldn't with how many other needs we have + how many good RBs in the NFL were drafted in later rounds.
  21. If we didn't want him with the #8 pick 2 years ago and he went (i think) 15th, then why would we give away our 9th pick this year when he has looked worse than when he was in college...
  22. It is going to take way more than that to go to #1. It would probably take our 1st and 2nd (39) this year and a 1st in 2024 and 2025 before we are even listened to.
  23. Don't like any of those trade scenarios. If we do trade, I say we go for 5 if Stroud (or Young) falls and that way it won't cost us an arm and a leg. No way I am trading to #1 and I think it will still take a lot to get #3 from the Cardinals.
  24. Chiefs made that look easy. Not good if KC can run and throw it at will against them
