Solid Breakdown of Bryce's Poor Performance/PFF Stuff
PleaseCutStewart replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
The good news for Bryce is that his tape looks so awful that teams are probably confused on what route/aspect of being a QB Bryce is actually good at -

Surprised because he hasn't progressed/improved at all mechanically from when he played at Alabama... That isn't normal with all of the faults he had in his footwork/passing at Bama -

I thought the 10 yard in route was a good throw because he threw it with perfect anticipation. I don't get how he makes that quick decision and a perfect throw, then every other throw he makes is a late read that either is thrown out of bounds, to the other team, or is a hospital ball -

I noticed that Renfrow was wide open on a lot of plays also - I think every comeback and wheel route he ran he was wide open (at least 5 yards of separation). -

Spot on - this dude needs to be our actual NFL tape review guru. The part where he says Bryce is always in a passive stance on pass plays is eye-opening. Bryce is never stepping forward getting ready to throw a dart to someone when in the pocket; he just loosely stands in the pocket then throws off his back foot and lets the ball hang in the air... -
And I'm sure only 1 team had a WR that could have easily gotten both feet in bounds for a catch but didn't because he is a moron and that team lost... Bryce sucks, but XL might suck even more

Highest rate of incompletions due to WR error
PleaseCutStewart replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
More like 20/80 balls... As in their is a 20% chance our guys catch it and 80% chance the defense picks it off -
Canales needs to concentrate on coaching
PleaseCutStewart replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think more than a DC, we need to get an experienced OC so Dave can stop worrying about calling plays and actually be paying attention to the game. Norvell tried to do the same crap at FSU. Finally got an experienced OC and let him focus on the coaching part of the game and FSU looks miles better this year than last -
This video perfectly sums up Bryce Young/Carolina IMO

How else can he warm-up up his supercomputer brain to try and read the Jags defense -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old
PleaseCutStewart replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
But... but... but... Our receivers suck, it's the defense's fault, the oline should have been better, yadda yadda yadda (I'm sure I'm missing other excuses also) -Signed... most of our fans -
No argument there, but QBs are able to elevate the players around them. Bryce just sinks in quicksand right along with the rest of the team. If Bryce were a 3rd round draft pick or later, I would be less mad. We drafted him #1 overall though and he just doesn't make the players around him better.

A lookback at Morgan's first draft
PleaseCutStewart replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
1st pick was a panic we need a WR for Bryce type of pick - they chose the wrong one. 2nd pick was inexcusable because RB was the one position we didn't desperately need I get the Wallace pick - dude has great athleticism for the LB position. Just has zilcho instincts 4th and 5th round picks look good to me Could care less about 6th and 7th round because those are usually special teamers at best caliber players. Plus we got Coker as a UDFA to negate them. Overall probably a bad draft because of the 1st 2 picks + Wallace looking bad (granted, I think Brooks would have been a good RB if he could stay healthy). I do think Dan did a good job in the 2025 draft though. -
And I would have Morgan safer than Canales IMO. Outside of the whiff on XL and taking Brooks when we didn't need a RB, I think Dan has drafted pretty well his 2 years in charge as GM. I'm more concerned with the free agent acquisitions that have mostly been busts, but I'm not sure if those were more coach decisions or Morgan decisions. But I honestly think Canales just isn't a good coach and wouldn't have a problem cleaning house (at least HC, OC, DC, GM) at the end of the season. The only problem is no HC and GM worth a crap are coming to this dysfunctional franchise.

Barring going 2-15 or worse, I doubt it. I think Evero will be the scapegoat and Morgan/Canales will get 1 more year. I'm sure Tepper will meddle again with which QB we should draft in 2026 and we will likely choose the wrong QB again. Rinse and repeat the 3 years after and we will be back in the same situation in 2029
-
Pick any of the following: -He can't win with these receivers. He would be elite if he had Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson at WR. -It is all the defense's fault (as we lose the game 20-3) -It's the oline's fault -Bryce would be elite if we still had AT on the team -It was just an off day -All of the above
-
Lol, and no other QB has to go through drops or wrong routes ran... I have never seen another QB be coddled by reporters and the like and find every possible excuse except for Bryce just not being that good
-
Sadly... I feel like the most Joy I can get watching the NFL is seeing the bears waste the trade rape they fleeced us on for Bryce. I feel like all of their fans were making fun of us and it's so karma that it is backfiring for them
-
Unless you are 100% sure your kicker can kick it out of the end zone, then you don't take that chance. Just a bad decision from Johnson
-
Why wouldn't you kick it out of bounds there? Or onside kick. The bears needed that two minute warning on defense to have a chance
-
Safe to say that Bryce and Caleb Williams will be playing in the CFL next year...
-
The one bright spot of our bears trade is that they have been as awful as we have since it happened and their QB is also terrible
-
Easy - I watched an offense that scored 3 points most of the game before Jacksonville called off the dogs and gave the offense a TD late. 10 of those points also came on a short field due to a bryce interception and the failed onside kick. Defense even gave them enough opportunities to make it a game in the 2nd half and all they did was fug it up. Not saying our defense played great, but that loss was more on the offense than defense. If we can only rely on our offense to score 3 non garbage time points against below average defenses, then we will safely go 0-17

Wharton out 2-4 weeks with hamstring injury
PleaseCutStewart replied to X-Clown's topic in Carolina Panthers
No, we will probably beat Arizona because it's the one team we have owned the past 20 years for some reason... -
I mean... maybe we need to player more older guys on offense since the defense somehow looked better than the offense yesterday... In short, sounds like a "you suck more, no you suck more" type of rift might form between these 2 as they both battle to stay employed

Hot Takes Immediately After the Game
PleaseCutStewart replied to Admiral Ackbar's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure how much say Evero has had in choosing our FA defensive players, but if these are guys he wanted, that is a fireable offense alone. It really is a hodgepodge of players that do not complement each other one bit.
