Does Bryce deserve credit for game-winning drives?
PleaseCutStewart replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Give him credit for the game winning drives he has led. Also, realize that we wouldn't have needed a GWD in most of those games if he wasn't complete ass the first 3.5 quarters of the game -
the 49ers are likely our worst matchup of the season....

Helps when you are the underdog in every game you play in a season outside of 1 (which sadly was an embarrassingly bad blowout loss at home) -

That sounds like every game for us... -

I don't know - SF is pretty banged up on defense and somehow is as bad as we are at rushing the passer. Somehow the 49ers didn't get 1 sack Sunday, despite Brissett throwing the ball 57 times. I think Seattle and LA are much worse matchups for us. Think we are going to have to win in a high scoring game if we do win Monday though -
Saw a replay of that Kucci save in the first period. That was a crazy good save and unbelievable awareness to realize that the bruins skater was coming open from the back boards

For as small and frail as he looks, dude is definitely tough. He may suck, but I don't think anybody can question how tough he is

Young wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week

How did Brissett throw for 450 yards (47/57 passing) and the Cardinals lose by 19... -

Yeah, I have shifted from LB being our top need to edge rusher being out top need. -

2 things that stood out from the game yesterday: 1) Zavala should not be on an NFL roster. If we don't want to start Corbett at RG, let Curhan go then. Practically anybody is better than Zavala 2) What was up with DC's obsession of only running the ball to right side. Icky is arguably the best run blocking tackle in the league and we all know Lewis is elite - DC decides screw that, lets run it behind Zavala every play.... -
Probably gonna end badly for us. Wish we could have played SF earlier in the year when their entire team outside of CMC was practically injured
-
Glad the D held them to 6 points in the 2nd half, but let's also recognize that the Falcons dropped like 5 passes in the 2nd half/OT. I started rooting for ATL to screw up more than us to make a play on defense because I don't think our D really did that much in the 2nd half
-
Well said and agreed. I've honestly been wanting changes to our scheme on offense and this is definitely the first week I've seen that all year. Also agree - let me see the same level of effectiveness against the 49ers and then I'll start ringing the bell that I was wrong on saying Bryce is a bum
-
Fair - that one deep ball at least made ATL run 2 deep safeties for most of the remainder of the game
-
Fair question - my biggest complaint is that we haven't given him the chance to even do it this year. That's why I want to see him throw it deep. If Bryce sucks and throws interceptions, then we definitely have our answer of not resigning him
-
I hope to God they don't. He is about as bad as a coach as you will find
-
I think that was the only deep past attempted in the game and possibly the only deep route run in the game. We have to attempt it more that once a game
-
On the one hand, you are probably right. But... I definitely didn't see these routes run in the games against GB and NO. Maybe the saints debacle made DC realize he can't keep calling all routes that are 10 yards or less
-
I might be in the minority, but this game made me feel the opposite. I think this is the first game we have actually designed deep throws. Those 2 deep(ish) balls forced ATL to change their scheme somewhat
-
Also, remind me to bet against this idiot every week
-
Is it DC not calling the routes or Bryce not throwing them when we call them. I honestly don't know but am starting to think it might be a DC problem
