  1. Yep, and agree with those reports. And I still love the pick and am hopefully thrilled we don't have to rush him out there day 1 and set him up for failure
  2. A little? Dude is Jeff Utah level of dominance as a run blocker. I was baffled why we always ran behind Corbett like 90% of our run plays
  3. We weren't good once BC got hurt and we put Corbett at RG. We also refused to run to the left behind Lewis & Icky for some reason after BC got hurt. If big Rob can stay healthy, the run game should be better this year. Fortner should be an upgrade with run and pass blocking compared to Mays also.
  4. Highly doubt Freeling will be ready to start week 1 for us. Guy still has a lot of technical stuff to develop. And like somebody else said - if Cinci wanted him, they would have signed him for more than we did.
  5. Sabres also didn't really play their 3rd line D that much. I think we are the first team they have played in the playoffs that have 3 d line pairs that can all play heavy minutes. We can also play 3 forward lines heavy minutes (only if the 4th line isn't playing well). We need to capitalize on Montreal playing back-to-back 7 games series. Come out with the same energy game 1 like we did against a tired Philly team and set the tone for the series.
  6. I guess the good news is Montreal only wants to play 4 Dmen. If we play at our usual pace, we will tire them out
  7. If that isn't goalie interference, I don't know what is. Id argue that should be a 5 minute major - extremely dirty hit
  8. Still not sure which team I would rather face. I still think Buffalo because I think they defend much worse, but Montreal has looked pretty awful tonight on defense
  9. I keep reading about how everyone thinks our schedule this year is way harder than last year and don't get it. Not saying our schedule this year is a cakewalk, but having to play the 49ers, rams, seahawks, bills, patriots, Packers, and jaguars is about as tough as it gets for an outside of division schedule... Not to mention that we had to play the Cardinals when they were full strength (before injuries) and not looking that bad.
  10. Yeah, Houston has failed horribly at giving CJ an oline. But if we are playing that game, Bryce also didn't have crap for receivers until getting TMac. Meanwhile, Houston had Nico and Dell day one for Stroud + got Jayden Higgins in last year's draft.
  11. Yeah hopefully we can find someone to replace Turk that can at least eat blocks and give our LBs a chance to make the tackle
  12. Let's not ignore the playoffs.... Stroud - 231 passing ypg, 2 TD, 5 INTs (with a dominant defense) Bryce - 264 passing ypg, 1 TD, 1 INT (plus 1 rushing TD) Not saying Bryce is good by any stretch of the imagination, but Stroud single handedly lost them the Patriots playoff game (and could have lost them the Steelers game if the defense didn't carry him)
  13. Honestly think ideal for us is 9-8. Definitely a brutal order to our schedule of a crappy bye and playing teams at the wrong time. Like seriously... They gave us Seattle week 17 again...
  14. Don't really blame them. We were pretty lucky to win 8 games last year with all the 3 point wins we had
  15. Looks like the bears open as -2.5 favorites. Was thinking it would be bears -1 or -1.5, so a little higher than I thought
  16. Fair, but Joe Person isn't anywhere near as bad as David Newton was
  17. Honestly don't think we can get anything worse outside of maybe the male reporter version of Russini...
  18. Yeah. I think his tape at Tulane also showed that he could run more routes than he was responsible for at Tennessee, which was just curls, slants, screens, and gos.
  19. Don't love our current RBs now, but I think there are decent RB free agent options if Brooks isn't healthy. I personally would like to see us get Ekeler (assuming he has fully healed from the achilles injury), since Bryce throws check downs to the RB like 50% of the time.
  20. I guess we will see. -2.5 implies that sportsbooks think the Bears and Panthers are practically equal teams, which I don't think is the case (if your assumption was Panthers being favored)
  21. We are too busy rejoicing that David Newton is finally gone
  22. I will happily take no ESPN reporter for us over Newton
  23. Don't think I have ever seen that one. Freaking hilarious
