  1. Good 1st period. Now let's not have our usual 2nd half period poo show after a good 1st period please
  2. This team continues to impress me when we have everybody healthy. If we can get a good big by next season, I think this team could legit compete for the top seed in the East
  3. Honestly not that crazy. We spent big bucks on our 2 guards and he inherited a team from Fitterer that was completely void of talent at just about every position (while also not having picks because of trades by Fitterer). There are only so many picks we had and you can't fix every position group in a 2 year span
  4. It's honestly like watching a 5 year old playing soccer - they just aimlessly run around trying to get the ball. XL just aimlessly runs around the field and has no clue where he is 90% of the time
  5. Him being able to block corners is nothing close to the same as being asked to block D linemen or LBs. So no, he won't be a TE unless we line him up as a slot TE (which wouldn't be any different than him being a WR in all honesty).
  6. It's about time. He really shouldn't be calling plays unless there is a key play or 2 we need on offense late in a game
  7. Man, that is a lot of guys that played meaningful snaps for us last year we are letting test free agency... Kind of worried we are going to lose Yosh
  8. With his play the last few years, pretty sure he quit the league 4 or 5 years ago...
  9. Surprised they made the saints 7.5. I get they played better with Shough, but that team is pretty void of talent also with a lot of players they are going to lose in free agency. I honestly think the winner of the division will have a losing record again
  10. No doubt we were running better without Corbett out there. Crazy thing is we still ran better with Curhen out there than Corbett. I would love to see a graphic of what % of our run plays were right of the center and inside of the right tackle - it felt like 60% of our run plays the back half of the season were either right of the center or right of the guard, which made no sense when Icky and Lewis are probably our best 2 run blocking offensive linemen
  11. I get the argument, but I feel like half of the super bowls won in that time frame have been by Brady or Mahomes
  12. Right now, I would say doubtful he even plays next season. A ruptured achilles is about one of the worst injuries you can suffer in the NFL and at Oline, as it really impacts your ability to get that explosive burst forward when the ball is snapped. I'd be thrilled if BC recovers 100% and plays like he did before the injury, even if he doesn't play a snap next year while rehabbing.
  13. While that is true, it is much harder to have the actual strength to move people backwards with run blocking (which is a weakness for Cross). Cross was never going to be a dominant run blocker because if he put on the mass to have better strength, it would take away his good lateral speed to slow down speed edge rushers. For Icky vs. Cross, it came down to do you want a mauler OT or a agile pass protector OT. We chose the mauler because we were (and mostly still are) a power run offense. At the end of the day, Icky is a top tier run blocking tackle in the NFL while being an average pass protector. I think a big reason why our run game mostly went to crap the back half of the season is because we stopped running the ball to the left side for some reason (that combined with teams stacking the box). Just blew my mind that it seemed like 2/3 of our run plays were off guard run plays to the right behind freaking Corbett... Like the dumbest designed running lane to choose with all the other people we have on our oline.
  14. I honestly might be willing to overpay Yosh a little to keep him. Versatility to play LT or RT (even though he is a much better RT in my opinion) while also having great durability, as he has either missed very few or zero games due to injury in his career. That is the type of depth that is very underrated
  15. I mean... I'm about as distrusting of Canales as you will find, but he has at least had the team improve record wise each season. I think if he gets rid of the rah rah rah mentality and gets an OC that he will let call plays, I'll be more of a fan
  16. Curious if we would entertain the option of moving Moton to LT and having Yosh play RT (if we resign him) if we aren't able to get a good free agent LT or draft one. Not sure how Moton would look on the left side, but I thought Yosh looked a lot better at RT than LT last season
  17. I would to, but Center isn't a position I want to see us throwing a lot of money at. You can find solid centers in the draft and we need that money because of how weak we are at so many of our defensive positions.
  18. Honestly, if that many OTs drop in the draft to us, I would question why they are and if it is because they aren't 1st round talent. I feel like the only OT I have seen top 15 across the board is Mauigoa. All of the other ones have been all over the place from late teens to like 40 from draft big boards I have seen.
  19. Lol, there is no way Arvell Reese ends up going 12th. If so, that is one of the rare circumstances where I would be 100% be all for a trade up.
  20. If we draft OT in the 1st round with all of the holes we have on defense, that tells me the staff has no faith in Icky or BC ever being quality starters again. Possible with the injuries they suffered, put passing up on an edge or LB with the complete talent deficiency (outside of Scourton) we have at both positions would be worrying - unless there isn't a good choice at 19 for those positions, which could also be possible.
  21. I think hardly any of us hated Darnold (at least in 2022) - he played well for us once we fired Fatt Fhule and replaced Baker with Darnold. We were much more concerned with hating Fatt Fhule and Fitterer because they were both so freaking incompetent
  22. While I agree Bain got a lot of the double teams this year, Mesidor actually faced a ton of double teams in 2024 (along with Bain when healthy) and still had pretty good stats. The much better DT play Miami had in 2025 helped limit the number of double teams Mesidor faced. I actually think Mesidor has one of the best combos of speed + technique among edge rushers in the class (probably behind Bain & Bailey). Run defense might be a problem for him and he is not good in coverage (aka he needs to be strictly rushing the passer/playing the run every down he is on the field). Jarred Verse was old also (24 at the start of his rookie year), so I hope we aren't using age as a big knock on his draft rank. We could still get 5 years out of him before he hits his 2nd contract and then move on if he gets pricy his age 29/30 season. Medicals definitely need to be looked at closely for him, though he has stayed healthy the last 2 seasons.
  23. Like Mesidor, Hill, and Wheatley, but would like to see a trade down at 19 (to like 25ish) if we take Mesidor and am not sure Hill is there at 51
  24. Maybe PFF calls it Big Time throws for Bryce because since he is such a little guy, any throw pass the line of scrimmage counts as a Big Time throw... And it would have been nice if PFF included Big Time Throw attempts/game on that graphic also. Because we all know Bryce attempted like maybe 2 deep passes per game
  25. Hmmm... Well, one of them consistently got dumb penalties that you never see any other receiver commit like offensive offsides on 4th down. One of them consistently would just run routes out of bounds for no reason. XL's only saving grace is that he has been a solid blocker at WR for us There is a reason XL often didn't get the ball thrown to him - he made some of the dumbest mistakes I have ever seen from a receiver... Even receivers that have zilcho talent (Mingo, Terrace Marshall, and all of our other WR draft busts) didn't make mistakes this dumb. It is bad enough when you aren't helping your team because you can't get open; it is much worse when you are so bad and dumb that you are actively hurting your team. I honestly don't think there is any fixing XL. The dude is just an idiot and lacks any kind of awareness and common sense on and off the football field
