  1. Don't hate it. Thought he did well on special teams also and can be an emergency sub LB if need be
  2. I think we are all doing a lot of assuming that 1) BC will be ready to go week 1, and 2) He will be as good as he was pre Achilles rupture. We are all not sure that Ickey will ever be back to his old self (rightfully so), but just assume that BC will come back all fine and dandy when he suffered just as gruesome of an injury
  3. Not sure about his zone blocking scheme fit, but Slaughter, Lew, Hecht, Logan Jones, and possibly others are good agile zone-scheme fit olinemen that have the potential to start day 1 for us
  4. And also curious how much the "cheap" seats will increase percentage wise. I feel like when they had the 6% increase last year, it was only like 1% or something for the upper level
  5. Him and Evans are good special teamers. I like these 2 resignings
  6. Not sure if it's related to the playoff game or just the rampant inflation that is occurring in our country. Curious how much the prices for other teams changed.
  7. Yeah Thieneman has grown on me - definitely the ball hawking safety we need. McCoy can be really good as our nickel (if his medicals check out). Size will probably prevent him from ever playing on the outside, but he has great ball skills, can press pretty well, and moves very quickly and fluidly in zone. Freeling and Fano are probably my preferred LTs if we can grab them. Mauigoa's pass blocking has me a bit concerned for being our LT. Lemon would be a great RAC guy for us that seems to know how to read zones (works well for out quick pass offense). Would have said 100% no to WR prior to day 1 of free agency because of all the needs we had on D, but now we can if he is the best player available at 19. Allen I would prefer to trade down for, but I can see teams in the 20s valuing him, so I'm not sure he would make it much longer after our pick. The dude will be an immediate 3 down LB for us week 1
  8. Honestly, I would rather overpay day 1 of free agency for a high end player (Phillips) than lose out on them and then overpay for a mid-level player. Seems like we learned from missing out on Milton Williams last year
  9. Ummmmm, no. Plenty of centers will be around in rounds 3 and 4. Unless one of the stud LB or edges drop (or Downs), it is hopefully one of the following: OT (Mauigoa, Freeling, Fano) DB/S (McCoy, Thieneman) WR (Lemon) LB (Allen)
  10. Luckily they are 3 or 4 good zone blocking centers in this draft, so I think we can potentially find a starter in the third or fourth round.
  11. Looks like we can pretty much go BPA in the 1st round now (if there isn't an OT we love at 19)
  12. Damn, almost seems like we're going all in with how much we are spending in free agency
  13. Nice, somebody tell him to pull an Eli and refuse to play for any other team but us
  14. How many more years do we have to give Dalton to be a "mentor"...
  15. The great thing about signing him is that we won't have to be hard pressed to take an edge in the first few rounds. Now we can focus on LB, oline, and corner/safety
  16. Man that is a lot of money for a guy that has struggled to stay healthy 2 of the past 3 years... Hope he can stay healthy for us
  17. Smith-Wade to safety sounds like a terrible idea. Unfortunately the guy just isn't very talented and she honestly be a sub corner or dime back at best
  18. Mesidor. He was doubled a lot the 23-24 season when he was playing DT and was not doubled nearly as much playing DE in 24-25 because Bain got the doubles
  19. He was getting double teamed when he played DT last year. This year he rarely was doubled
  20. I don't know, he looked good for Miami once they stopped forcing him to play DT (which was an insanely stupid thing to do). He also got stuck being doubled teamed an insane number of plays when playing DT. I understand Bain got the most attention, but Mesidor pretty much didn't get blocked 1-on-1 by anybody this season. I don't think there is any way he makes it out of the 1st (unless his medical has red flags) - too many teams picking in the bottom 12 spots want an edge that will be an impact player day 1. Mesidor has the technique and pass rush move variety to contribute day 1 (unlike some of the other edges that are freak athletes but more raw).
  21. I get it's disappointing, but this was definitely a seller's market and the only players traded away were players that would be depth pieces at best for us. A lot of the top teams (Avs, Stars, Lightning, Wild post Hughes) really only traded for depth pieces. Just a terrible trade deadline all around and I'm glad we didn't cave and sell the farm for somebody like Tro (even though I like him and he fits our team well).
  22. The gift that keeps on giving. I mean the turd that keeps on stinking...
  23. He will probably be used sparingly to give guys off days until the playoffs. Can't see him playing in the playoffs for us unless we need a goon out there
  24. I don't mind losing the 1st rounder. I do mind losing one of our best young players or prospects
