I'll take solid with a couple of bad plays over Zavala being awful on just about every pass blocking opportunity. Curhen was on the Cardinal's practice squad for a reason - he isn't very talented. That being said, I think he has done a solid job in the games he has played.

Adam Thielen Requests and is Granted Release

Time for us to do something hilarious and sign him to our team and give him a 1 year extension for vet minimum. Then next year, trade him to Minnesota again for a 4th rounder -

Not sure I've seen a better DT at batting down balls at the LOS. He truly is smart that he realizes it will be hard to consistently get sacks because of the double/triple teams he faces, so he just watches the QB and gets his bear paws up once he see the QB getting ready to throw it. On an unrelated note, as bad as Wharton has been for us, he did a good job getting pressure on that play that allowed DB to get the strip sack. Might be his first good play for us the entire year...

I would say our 2018 win over the Eagles was one that surprised me. Down 17-0 in the 4th Q and Cam somehow carried us to a win. Think that was the weird game Torrey Smith actually played well for us before the dude was never heard from again... Feel like that year could have been special if fugin TJ Watt didn't destroy Cam's shoulder

Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?
PleaseCutStewart replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we have the same record, we would have to because Tampa would have the better division record at 5-1. I just don't see Tampa losing to the Saints or Falcons at home. -
Seeing as how we have paid stupid contracts to the likes of Matt Kalil in the past, I have no problem giving Icky his contract he has earned
-
Please do not rush him back if he is not completely healthy. Don't need him screwing up his biceps again and missing games next year also... That being said, would definitely be nice having him back at RG. Although I do think Curhen has been pretty solid and was a good find off of the Cardinal's practice squad

Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?

Doubtful. Falcons without Penix and London are very bad, and the Saints are very bad. Since the Cardinals didn't pull off the upset, the Dolphins are the only team with a chance of upsetting them. At the end of the day, we will have to sweep Tampa twice because they will have the better division record otherwise because of our shitting the bed against the Saints -
Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?

Beat the Saints, beat Tampa at home, rest the starters against Seattle and try to be as healthy as possible for week 18 (only if we have the same record as Tampa), beat Tampa again week 18. -
Request: Can someone do a deep dive on our Defense?
PleaseCutStewart replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
One of the bigger differences from last year to this year is that we are actually getting turnovers on D (especially the past 2 games). Think we have already forced more turnovers than last year. -
Predict The Remaining Schedule
PleaseCutStewart replied to Kentucky Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be curious to see what happens against Seattle week 17 if we are tied with Tampa (win at NO and at home against the Bucs). Since we likely don't get a wildcard because Chicago/GB and SF/LAR/Seattle will all likely have a better record (not to mention possibly Dallas and DET), that game could be meaningless because week 18 at Tampa will decide the division whether we win or lose vs. Seattle. I doubt we rest our starters, but that could be a game we could theoretically rest up key players for the last game of the season. Regardless, if we don't win at NO and sweep Tampa, we aren't making the playoffs. 10-7 won't get it done with how stacked the NFC is. -

Can somebody tell DC to only call games like this on offense... established the run, use play action passing, and call some deep shots every now and then- 47 replies

Definitely team MVP. The fact the guy is seeing triple teams at times and still being a force is pretty damn impressive

Not sure I have ever seen a more Jekyll and Hyde football team than the 2025 Carolina Panthers... -

The fact we are up three going into the fourth with God knows who on the field because of all the injuries we have is pretty impressive -
Tell Me How Carolina Wins Against the Rams
PleaseCutStewart replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
The entire Rams team gets food poisoning and literally shits their pants during the game -
This is the way. I would still love it if we could trade a 5th to the Giants for Winston in the offseason and then draft somebody like Sam Leavitt or Sawyer Robertson in the 4th.

I'll be surprised if we score 10 points against the Seahawks defense

J Person article on Canales and game plan and Rico
PleaseCutStewart replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
He probably hasn't spoken to Rico because DC is dumb enough to not think he did anything wrong. Get ready for 60 pass attempts from Bryce next week where he goes 15/60 passing for 102 yards, 1 garbage time TD, and 4 INTs -
We will probably end up playing the Rams or Seahawks (whichever one doesn't win the division). AKA - it will be an ugly blowout loss if we miraculously made the playoffs.
-
I really think we should just rest our starters for the Rams and Seahawks game. 0% chance we win either of them, so might as well rest up and try and be somewhat healthy for the Saints and 2 Bucs games

I think DC is lucky that he followed our 2 worst coaches in franchise history with Rhule and Reich. If he had followed Rivera or Fox (or any competent coach), I think we would all be way more pissed with his coaching. We aren't winning because of him (for the most part) - it's been other teams screwing up in embarrassing fashion (like we did Monday), our defense winning us the game, or Rico just running the ball down the other team's throat. DC has constantly F'd up obvious personnel decisions the entire year and we have needed injuries to happen to get better players on the field...

This Like literally any other QB in the NFL recognizes how open that running lane is and just walks into the end zone. For being proclaimed as a super computer processor, Bryce sure misses obvious things like that way too many times
