Our all time greats at every position
PleaseCutStewart replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Starting 22: QB: Cam RB 1: CMC RB 2: J Stew (I'm opting for 2 RBs instead of a FB since the position is practically extinct) WR: Smitty WR: Moose TE: Olsen LT: Gross LG: Wharton C : Kalil RG: Trai (was close to picking Norwell) RT (honestly struggling to think of good RTs for us ever...): Moton I guess DE: Peppers DE: torn between Burns and Charles Johnson - I'll go CJ DT: Jenkins DT: Short (honorable mention to Star and Brown - both are/were dominant run stoppers) Strong side LB: TD MLB: Luke (honorable mention to Beason - dude was a stud but will never be chosen over Luke) Weak side LB: Kevin Greene (forgot how many freaking sacks he had for us his few years with us) CB: Gamble CB: Josh Norman (while he didn't have the INTs, teams just didn't throw at him because he was lockdown + we were pretty bad at the other corner spot) FS: Mike Minter other safety: Charles Godfrey (honestly can't think of 1 good strong safety we have ever had) Special teams: don't care about them -
Projecting the Panthers' Offensive Roster
PleaseCutStewart replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably will be 9 OL, 6 WR, 3 RB (4 with Brooks on IR), 3 QBs, and 4 TEs (with Tremble also being able to fill in as FB). Could go 4 RB (5 with Brooks on IR) and 3 TEs also -
Yep, that's a tough slot of teams there. In all honesty, if there is a time we had to suck, now isn't the worst with SF, Dallas, and Philly pretty much needing to be all in the next couple of years
-
Lol, we aren't trading for judon when we are (if lucky) 3 years from being relevant. I'd rather see the falcons go all in, crash and burn, and be us in a few years
-
Sadly, this is the truth
-
Will either of these poo QBs be on our active roster week 1?
-
Didn't watch the game - somebody gave me the cliffs notes version of how bad we sucked

Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
PleaseCutStewart replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, just unfortunate because you can't miss like that on the #1 pick or you will be awful the next 5+ years -
Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
PleaseCutStewart replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
People got fooled thinking Bryce is athletic because he could outrun a bunch of nobodies on teams like Ole Miss and Vandy, while everyone thought that CJ would crumble because he couldn't escape the pocket like Bryce. What these idiots didn't realize is that CJ could make throws from the pocket and fit them into tight windows while Bryce couldn't, which is why he didn't bother trying to run unnecessarily. When he actually needed to run (like the Georgia game), it should have been obvious to everyone that he has enough mobility. And yeah, Ian Rappaport usually knows nothing and then just reiterates things way later after like 10 reporters have already reported said info... Dude is as accurate as the weather reporter trying to predict the weather a month in the future... -

Well, I definitely didn't have him at 1 because I knew Stroud would be good. Had Stroud way far ahead at 1, followed by Richardson and then Bryce a little below him. Going to be honest though - I didn't think Bryce would be this awful. -
And for the second video, I honestly don't know what is going on. I'm assuming that legette was supposed to run a fade, but what the hell is the QB doing throwing that fade about 5 seconds too late...
-
While that comeback route was not great, that is 100% PI. Hard to catch the ball when the DB grabs and pulls you backwards a couple of yards
-
How many games are you willing to give Young?
PleaseCutStewart replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I say give him the entire season unless we are somehow like 5-3 despite him playing like absolute ass and see if whatever other crappy QB we have can lead us to the playoffs Hopefully he makes it easy for us - he needs to either play really good and show us he is our franchise QB or be very very awful so that way we can draft #1 next year -
Training Camp Day 2: Electric Boogaloo
PleaseCutStewart replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
That Jersey might be worth $1.29 in a couple of years... -
I mean... What kind of cuck would currently not be a miserable Panthers fan?? This is like saying the sky is blue

Diontae is about to have like 200 catches this season for like 800 yards

Bryce Young video going viral
PleaseCutStewart replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
And still can't believe we took this dude over CJ Stroud.... I think my scrawny ass pre-teen self was bulkier than him when I was in 7th grade -
Panthers working out two premier pass rushers

Great... So Byron Bell 2.0 has arrived I guess -
When does fast come back? I honestly think losing him was a backbreaker for us last year. Not having our m-s-f line together really hurt our counter to other teams top lines
-
What assets do we have that SF would want from us outside of draft picks? And if we are giving away draft picks being a bottom 5 team, then we are truly that retarded and deserve to be a poverty franchise

I'll take whatever is not Vilma... God he is an annoying prick -
Meant to edit previous post

I think the difference is the other teams in the East in 2019 were nowhere near as deep and talented as they are now. Tampa, NYR, Boston, FL, Tampa, & Toronto are all very good and teams like NJ (and to a lesser extent NYI, Wash, and Pitt) are pretty good. Luckily we aren't in the Atlantic and "should" make the playoffs, but we aren't a legit threat to win the Stanley Cup next year IMO
-
Definitely going to be a lot worse next year, but we all knew this would happen. Should be a fringe playoff team and 2025-26 will be a big improvement for us
