  1. Sure, if we can get Geno on like a 2 year deal for like 15-20 mill a year, I'd take it while we find our next QB in hopefully next year's draft. Honestly, I think Geno has played really well this year. Yes, he had 2 pics yesterday - but 1 was on a (what i thought was offsides) that Geno also thought was offsides and forced a throw thinking it was a free play. The other 1 was just a really great play by Horn (and Horn almost had another 1 on a very good play). I don't think his throws were terrible and keep in mind that he was playing without his top 2 RBs - this is a QB who is at his best off playaction passing.
  2. You say that, but he's the guy with the power running style to be hit one yard in the backfield and still get a 4-yard gain out of it. I hear what you are saying that he is not a receiving back, but that's why you get a receiving back to split reps with. Unfortunately we don't have a running back like that right now, unless blackshear can do that And 2 yr/ 6 mill is chump change toward the cap. Even more so if you fill it with incentives and don't make it guaranteed
  3. Chuba if only that cheap because he is on a rookie contract. 3 million per year for 2 years for a solid running back is nothing. Honestly, I feel bad for foreman because he's been stuck behind really good running backs for most of his career. I think he is an above average power RB that seems to be able to stay durable
  4. Funny how much better this oline got once Elflein was benched. Of course Fatt Fhule didn't realize Bozeman was like five times better... Just add that to his laundry list of fugups for us...
  5. No... His style of running back is not very hard to find. Something like a 2-year, 6 million $ contact I would be ok with. Not sure I would go longer than that and not sure I would go much higher in $ than that
  6. I wanted us to get Jordan Travis, but he is returning to FSU for another year also. I'm happy and sad because I am an FSU fan but would have loved for the Panthers to take a day 3 flier on him
  7. I get what you are saying. But if Fhule was coaching our team against the Ravens, we probably lose like 35-3.
  8. The complete shift in team effort can't be ignored. If there is a slam dunk great offensive mind we can hire in the offseason, we have to hire them. If not, if Wilks will take a ~2 year contract, I'd be ok with that while we try to find our QB of the future. Regardless if Wilks is our coach or not, we have to keep him in some role. The team clearly loves him and plays their hearts out for him.
  9. I'm pretty sure every player on this team mailed it in until Fatt Fhule was fired.
  10. If you wanted to punish his lack of effort last game, he should have been benched last game. It doesn't do any good to bench him the week after. That being said, I would definitely scream in his ear for the amount of times he just gave up after his 1st pass rush move got stoped. It's no coincidence that when he went to the bench that last drive we got a sack first play - Haynes kept trying even though his first move didn't work
  11. I would love to see a handoff to Mays when he lines up at fullback in short yardage situations. He runs pretty quick for a lineman and I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to tackle him
  12. Thanks, didn't see that. I'm also curious that if a team was below 20% to win but then got a TD/FG to go back over 20%, did those defensive plays while they were below 20% not count? Just seems like if you asked 10 people to define that stat, you would receive 10 different answers.
  13. How do they define garbage time? Was the entire Bengals and 49ers game considered garbage time? Our defense is good and I would consider them a borderline top 10 defense. They definitely aren't the best in the NFL and we have lucked out we haven't had to play many elite offenses. Honestly, outside of the Bengals and maybe the Seahawks, have we played a good offense this year (not sure what to consider the 49ers pre-CMC and with no Mitchell)
  14. In all fairness, the Chargers have had no problem moving the ball today. Got stopped on 4th and goal and got held to a FG in the red zone twice. They could easily have 38 points
  15. As long as the Bucs lose to the Bengals, then we can lose 1 game that isn't the Bucs and still win the division (assuming the Falcons don't win out). The good news is Goff has been pretty awful on the road. If we were @Detroit, I would be very worried
  16. Keeping Wilks as head coach or not is a debate worth having. Keeping McDooDoo in any capacity on this team is not - honestly, this bum should have been shown the door when we canned Fatt Fhule.
  17. That is one hell of a motivational postgame speech!! It got me pumped up and I'm not even in the locker room.
  18. You need to change the Mariota pic to Ridder since he is starting the rest of the year for the Falcons
  19. I don't see how they don't give it to Philly's coach, but if we win out, get to 9-8, and win the division with our shitshow we have at QB and after trading away CMC, he would earn it in my book.
  20. Absolutely. He's a poor man's Deebo Samuel that we should be able to keep on the cheap. I really like our plays where we have him motion behind Darnold and run an option between a RB handoff or swing pass to him. Honestly, that was probably when we looked best in the game until the Seahawks D tired out in the 4th.
  21. Weird stat for the Seahawks - they went 0-4 against the god awful NFC South. Yikers
  22. I give him all of the credit in the world for rallying the troops and having this team trying their best each week. That being said, we still need an offensive minded coach. I still would love to keep him on the staff though.
  23. Really?? Maybe he just has super slow acceleration then. Seemed like he was running in slow motion when he got the ball
