I agree with this sentiment. I want to be a Milroe fan, as he is the QB of my alma mater. However, he doesn’t instill the confidence that Tua and Bryce did.
-
That’s Milroe for you. Misses easy throws fairly regularly.
-
That’s the solace for Bama fans. They’ve played about as poorly as they could play, and after the muffed punt, Michigan has played about as well as they could. To be down only 3 at this point is a huge win. We will see what adjustments are made after halftime. If Saban and company don’t have an answer for the pass rush, Michigan is going to win this one.

Pass rush is absolutely an issue. I’m not a big fan of Bama’s OC. Why not toss a screen in there to slow the psd rush down a bit? I also think Milroe is in his own head a bit. He’ll settle down, but it may take a bit.

No one’s “getting a bag” for having a drink thrown on them. -

He could be better than Saban. At the age of 48, Saban was going into his last season at Michigan State before leaving for LSU, where he won his first national championship. Kirby is already at a premier program with two National Championships already under his belt. He has perennial top 2-3 recruiting classes, and he is at his alma mater. He is set up for great success.
-
Kirby will have Georgia at or near the top of college football for a loooong time. At his age (48), he could have another good 15-20 years in him.

12 teams is actually too many. It was thought to be necessary due to the Power 5 needing an automatic bid for each champion, with an additional automatic bid for the highest ranked Group of 5 winner. With the PAC 12 gone, you now only have 5 automatic bids. In any given year, there are not 7 other teams that are truly in the mix to win it all.

Here’s a theory: once FSU was snubbed, it wanted many of its players to opt out. Reason being, had everyone but Jordan Travis played and the game ended with Georgia winning in a landslide, the committee would have been proven to be correct in keeping the Noles out. In that situation, FSU can no longer claim they deserved to be in the playoffs. With 10+ players opting out/injured, they can still maintain that they deserved to be in the playoffs because this game didn’t prove anything. The result was only due to the high number of players out of this game. We all know the truth though. The result on the field would have been the same either way.

Even as a Bama grad, I agree with you about a lot of Tide fans.

Me too!

ACC: “Actually, you guys can just go ahead and leave.”

Still claiming the National Championship, FSU? Opt outs or not, this is an abysmal showing.

It’s amazing what happens when not every route is a 10 yard curl. -

The Panthers have talent that wasn’t being utilized properly while Reich was in CLT. I’d like to see the team address the OL and bring in a #1 WR in the off-season to see what BY9 can really do. -

Had the Panthers gone for a TD and scored, they would have been up 12-7, contingent on the outcome of the two-point conversion. If they miss the conversion, an Atlanta TD wins it outright. Up until Ridder’s INT, Atlanta moved the ball with ease the drive before the GWD. With 1st and Goal at the 1 yard line with 1:41 left, you have to keep the ball out of Atlanta’s hands at that point. You simply do not give the Falcons the ball with the chance to win/tie. -
I was not aware of the wind. I currently live in Korea and woke up (14 hours ahead of EST) to only catch the last 10 minutes of the game. Definitely saw the rain in the broadcast but didn’t see or hear anything about the wind.

As a Bama grad, I’m a Bryce fan, and I hope he figures this thing out. I was pleased with that last drive. However, I still want to see more out of his passes. The ~20 yarder to Tremble to get off the goal line took forever to get to him, and the pass to Minot was just a wounded duck with a nice adjustment (granted, the rain may have caused the ball to come out funny). I do hope Bryce and the team can build in this.

That is not what was going on at all. They did the right thing to drain the clock and attempt the field goal.
