Agree. Rhule is only on year two though. His two year record is better than that of a guy who will be coaching in the Super Bowl on 13 Feb, yet everyone here wants to act like Rhule has no chance at turning the ship around.

Um, Zac Taylor was 6-25-1 in his first two seasons with the Bengals. This after several a seasons of 6 and 7 wins each.

People love to talk trash about Saban, but I think he is truly in coaching to help people achieve the highest level of success they can achieve. Look at some of the players who have come out of Bama but went on to fail miserably in the NFL (Rolando McLain, Trent Richardson, Rueben Foster, etc). While at Bama, Saban helped those men achieve success, but it was something they could not sustain once they left Bama. I think that says something for the program Saban runs. Then look at all the retread coaches he brings in. Kiffin, Butch Davis, Bill O’Brien, and many more. Yes, he brings them in because he thinks they can help his program. But he also brings them in with the knowledge that if he does help them turn it around, they will be moving on. I think what you saw there at the en md was true happiness for someone Saban thinks extremely highly of and someone who Saban is happy to see win a championship, because Saban knows how hard Kirby worked to get to where he is.

I hope so. No excuses from me though. Georgia just brought it the whole 60 minutes tonight. Bama brought it for about 51 minutes.

Haha. I joked with my Georgia buddy that I would use one of my 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, or 2020 National Champion t-shirts to dry my tears. In all seriousness though, I enjoy the wins and try not to let the losses affect me at all. It is just a game after all.

Congrats to Georgia. It was a really fun game to watch.

The two plays before the field goal block is where Bama misses Metchie and Williams. Either of those two likely make either of those catches.

Agreed. Saban saw the need to evolve, but Kiffin stretched it far more than Saban wanted to go with it at times.

With that Georgia D and their speed, it is probably easier to bust a long one than it is to score when you get down in the red zone and especially inside the 10.

I still feel iffy. If Georgia can bust a big play and take the lead, it will be tough for Bama’s offense without Metchie and Williams.

Kiffin was the best thing to happen to Saban. He really got Saban to evolve his offensive philosophy. Without those couple years, I don’t think Bama would have won its last couple championships.

I’m not sure as far as guys that will be in the draft this year.

There are probably 10-15 first rounders between the starting 22 on each team.

Inexperienced 5 star recruits though. Can’t match the experience you lose with Metchie and Williams out, especially against a defense like Georgia’s.

They’ve had a few teams that could’ve definitely brought them another one, especially in the last ten years. This may be their year to do it.

Tide all the way. I could definitely see Georgia winning tonight though. It will be hard for Bama to beat them twice in three games. I did see an interesting fact today in an ESPN article. Bama won the title in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2020. They also played for it in 2016, 2018, and now 2021 (season). That’s 9 of the last 13 seasons in which Bama has played for the title. That’s an insane run, and it has to end at some point.

If the WFT wanted to be the Red Wolves, they’d pony up the money to acquire the rights to the name. The Cleveland Guardians (MLB) just did this with a Cleveland roller derby team which has been called the Guardians for years.
