Wasn’t JT Daniels still recovering from a knee injury? I seem to recall that he had to have a clean up procedure sometime in the summer/fall timeframe. I think that’s the only reason it took him so long to get the start.

This is a great point. Over the last 20 years, many have debated whether the Patriots success was Brady or Belichick. It’s looking like it may have been more Brady, but one thing teams and QBs have seemingly failed to learn is that massive contracts for QBs mean you have less money to spend in other areas. Brady often took a lesser contract to allow the Patriots to have more money to spend. That’s the way you build a dynasty, not by tying up 17-20% of your cap in one player.

Alex Leatherwood is not going to be a mid-to-late round pick. Many mocks have him being drafted in the first.

This insanity that “anyone who doesn’t cower in fear of COVID is a denier” crap needs to stop. There is a way to think the virus is a real thing while at the same time thinking adequate precautions can be taken to reopen schools and the economy. We’ve got to stop with the binary crap, thereby forcing people into two boxes so we can demonize those not in our box. I guess the fact that I even have this opinion makes me a denier though, huh?

I’m not saying it was a concussion. I’m just saying that I don’t buy it being a “choke out” scenario.
-
There is no way that was a choke out. The defender’s arm was around the neck for about a second, and the forearm was even resting against the bottom of Mahomes’ helmet, as opposed to being directly against the neck. If it was a “choke out,” it was the fastest “one side of the neck being affected with the arm not even being in contact with the neck at all” choke out I’ve ever seen. This entire “choke out” thing is an attempt for the NFL to get Mahomes out of the protocol and into the AFCCG.

Official Divisional Playoff Thread - Seahawks at Panthers
Bama Panther replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's talking about the Seahawks internal clock, I'd imagine. If they had an 0730 EST wake-up, it would be equivalent to an 0430 PST wake-up. -

Haven't seen Stewart in a while? Have I just missed him, or is he injured? -
Official Panthers - Giants Gameday Thread
Bama Panther replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
The last few games (except the Flacons game) have seemed like college rivalry games for the Panthers. What I mean by that is this: the opposing team is simply playing off of emotion and plays very well initially. However, as we have seen, that emotion is not enough to overcome a superior team. The Panthers have done a fantastic job waiting out that emotion and, more times than not, stripping the emotion away through a big play or two. -
I don't know if Brandon would do that, seeing that he is a local boy. I went to high school with him in Stanly County. he has stayed with the Panthers this long why not wait it out for the GM job if that is what is next for him? Although he may not have exclusive scouting experience, I have no doubt he has learned the ropes in that regard. He was a sports junkie growing up. He has been with the Panthers for years and worked his way up through the ranks. Plus, he has learned some ways not to do things from Hurney and ways to do things from Gettleman. I would be fine with Brandon taking over after Gettleman and would be extremely happy for a former classmate.

NFL says Pats guilty, and Brady knew
Bama Panther replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had no idea of what Florio wrote. I just deal with all these burdens of proof on a day-to-day basis in my job. Thought the ones making a big deal of the word "probable" we're just missing the point. -

It is actually quite easy to see if you read the word in context of how it is used in the report. Investigations, whether they are criminal in nature or internal to an organization, require a burden of proof to either substantiate or unsubstantiate the claims. By using that language in the report, the investigator was merely saying, "The burden has been met." But you all can keep your panties in a was if you'd like. -

Everyone upset about the word "probable" should read the word in context. The word describes the burden of proof used during the investigation, which sounds to be proof by a preponderance of the evidence. That is a legal standard much lower than proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and it essentially means "the greater probability of the evidence," i.e. more probable than not. -
Flown through and spent the night several times. Windy as all heck from what I remember. Cool feel to the area though.
