We’ll see each other in 2029, after the Jay-Z run has faded, and Tepper admits he was wrong. Sadly, might still take more time to get back to even playoffs after the next regime picks up the trash left behind.
-
This type of thinking is how you end up like the Jets. “Ah yeah let’s just toss a pick out for Sam Darnold”. Then a couple years later, you have the same absolute poo team, but you’re somehow able to swindle a historically bad head coach into a trade for him. Tossing fuging darts blindly at draft picks is how you ruin franchises.

Albright: Panthers circling on Pickett
PantherNation123 replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Gotta save this as one of the most freezing cold takes of all-time. This will not age well. If Pickett (on any team) ever makes the playoffs as a starting QB, I’ll chop off my left hand. If he ever makes a SUPER BOWL, I’ll let you chop off my right. -
Honestly, what a great draft pick Fletch was. Created good competition in camp, so we could resign JJ. JJ just hadn’t put enough consistency on tape during his All-Pro, Pro-Bowl, 13 year career. Rhule knows what he’s doing. Tepper should just grant Rhule a coach for life contract at this point. Just like Jay-Z, he’ll have us relevant in 7 years

let's see your top 6 selections for Carolina's 1.6 pick

I agree with most of what you’re saying, but the wrestling aspect of all of this does not support the case to draft him. Wrestling - not the same as football, and the ability to use his “leverage”, was “low man wins” - yes a football carryover, but by no means boosts his draft capital (no matter who he pinned) -
If he had any other OC offers, best believe he’d take him. Much like Darnold, we’re competing against no one to get them. McAdoo is almost as clownish as Rhule
-
Competent is pretty generous. Many Giants fans who suffered through his head coaching would say the opposite
-
McAdoo shouldn’t even have a job in the NFL after his butchering of the Giants. He and Rhule are two of the worst head coaching hires in recent memory. Welcome to the laughingstock 2022 Panthers. Let’s just hope they don’t do too much damage to our future, so we can actually turn it around when we inevitably clean house
-
Indeed he will. Clownshow of a franchise. He’s legit one of the top 5 worst head coaching fire of the past 20 years, right alongside Rhule. Fitting those clowns are together
-
I didn’t think this team could get more embarrassing but here we go. Ben Mcadoo is probably the biggest laughingstock of a head coach along with Rhule of the past decade (at least top 5). He was ungodly bad with the Giants, when they still had some talent.

Why Carolina is Already the Worst Team Entering 2022
PantherNation123 replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hear ya, and I hate losing those picks. Henderson did show a bit of promise towards end of year. He was a former 1st rounder, so if he can develop, that won’t look as bad -

Obviously don’t trust Rhule, and am losing trust in Tepper the longer Rhule is employed. Fitterrer has made some sound moves (assuming Darnold is largely on Rhule), so jury is still out on him. Holding absolutely zero hope of a turnaround from this dumpster fire as long as Rhule is at the helm though. -
Groh will very quickly lose the momentum of “legitimacy” if he works under Rhule. Easily will set him back 3-5 years, if not more. This is a sinking ship with a certified buffoon at the helm - unless you’re desperate and have no other options, smart coaches will stay away.
-
Sad anecdote. Nothing about Rhule’s past or present experience is very impressive, which makes it even more infuriating this dude is the 5th highest paid coach in the league. He’s a true embarrassment to our franchise. At least Ron had previous success in San Diego and was a good player in the NFL. He clearly gave a damn at least

We don’t know what we don’t know
PantherNation123 replied to Stuart Smith's topic in Carolina Panthers
OP lost me with “Tepper is an alpha male”…. I mean sure, he’s been a very successful hedge fund manager, which I guess makes him an alpha?? It certainly does NOT make him qualified to turn around the dumpster fire he created through Rhule. First step is firing Rhule, but this supposed “alpha male”, hasn’t even done that yet -

He’s a trash coach that’s why. Surrounding himself with Baylor/Temple products is an embarrassment. Robbie Anderson yesterday putting blame at the QB’s (which yes Darnold sucks), but also having an outrageous drop average, is an immediate cuttable offense. This franchise has turned into a joke under Rhule. It won’t be done until he’s gone -
Found Rhule’s account. Only a certified clown would defend Rhule’s response here. Clown on, buddy

“Looks like he’s having a pretty good game to me”….. some type of blinders on watching Sam. All good though bud, we’re both rooting for this shitshow of a franchise -
Tepper signed him. Not Rhule.
