  1. After years of windbaggery from Tepper and Rhule, at this point I don't really care what any of them have to say. Just show something on the field.
  2. Cam ain't coming back to this cluster, and I don't blame him one bit.
  3. Then Tepper better get used to being a loser, at least for the next few years, and for few other reasons beyond his own short-sightedness/lack of self-evaluation. If al he cares about is money then this is a moot point anyway. Given how vocal he was at the outset of his ownership he sure seems interested in being a winner as well. What's gone down so far sure ain't it and he unfortunately chose not to remedy a major immediate issue this offseason.
  4. They're both scrubs, and while Teddy really showed it this year (letting Slay waltz on by...) Rhule has indeed shown himself to somehow be even more inept at his job. While moving on from Teddy was the right move and signing him in the first place a terrible one, Rhule and the FO managed to make the situation worse with an awful choice in Darnold. In a competent organization this type of ineptitude gets corrected, but the scrubbery and ineptitude seems to go even higher than Rhule.
  5. Tremble looked pretty solid when he played and made some big-time catches. Lot still to prove but definite starter potential, if not more, IMO. I think it's more 18 pages about the knucklehead contract they just gave him and incredulity that Rhule continues to have a job than 18 pages about Thomas himself.
  6. I think it's more that he had no issues being vocal when he thought he was outsmarting the league. Now that the emperor has no clothes, the silence just seems like cowardice without humility. Probably not the case but, as they say, perception is everything.
  7. For Ian of course, as he wasn't getting near that anywhere else.
  8. I'm so sick of seeing these charts in relation to Rhule's personnel decisions. No doubt that it's better to have superior athletes, but 'Rhule guys' don't seem to show on the field.
  9. I'm actually OK with bringing him back overall as a 2nd TE, but that contract sure makes it seem he's the starter. As such...
  10. Of course he didn't do it in purpose/mean to hurt Kirkwood. He was released because it was an entirely unnecessary dangerous (intent or not) play against a teammate in the middle of training camp. Complete lack of awareness, and as a fringe player that stuff can't happen. As to the release itself, might have been too much but we don't know what had been said behind the scenes. I can't stand Rhule as a coach and want him fired ASAP but if player safety and making smart decisions had been a point of emphasis and he still did that, then it paints him as undisciplined and perhaps uncoachable.
  11. Right, and my comment was more hyperbolic than anything. It's perfectly clear that Rhule has 'his guys' and favors them even to the detriment of the team. I'm sure every coach has their favorites but most seem to at least make sure they can play at an NFL level.
  12. It's just beyond my understanding why they keep him on the active roster but refuse to play him when the opportunity arises.
  13. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Tool's newer stuff. Haven't bought tickets yet but was thinking about it just because. Sounds like it may be a no-go... thanks for the heads-up. We saw Korn a few years ago when they rolled through with In This Moment (who my band used to play with/cross paths with at small venues back in the day) and Rob Zombie. That was an awesome show. Never seen Staind live but we did catch Pantera with Slayer, Static-X, Skrape, and Morbid Angel on the Reinventing the Steel tour. I got my jaw dislocated in the pit during Static-X and we just took in the spectacle from the seats when Slayer and Pantera played. I've never seen anything like that, just a churning sea of humanity simultaneously wrecking each other while also caring for those who got hurt. That was one hell of a show.
  14. Tool, Korn, and Megadeth all come to KC within about 6 weeks of each other. I'm not usually a concert guy these days but this has me thinking hard about it.
  15. Exactly. This desire to hear from him is driven in large part by how vocal and involved he was when this all started going down; the silence is a notable change that makes people wonder. If he had stayed in the background from the start (relatively speaking given his status as a new owner) or not commented on football matters then no one would be wondering why he's now quiet.
  16. It's not accurate because he wasn't paid in one lump sum and it's most likely set up for weekly buys since players are paid game checks. He has lost some money for sure, but nothing like what this makes it out to seem.
  17. When considered alongside the assistants that have left for lateral moves and that both Tepper and Rhule have been radio silent all off-season (to avoid questions and save pride) yes, I think this is exactly what has happened.
  18. Nothing, unfortunately, and that's due to a complete lack of faith in the leadership and Matt Rhule. Certain moves may start swing the needle back from apathy/cynicism, but it's going to take steady and sustained improvement to begin the thaw. Not even significant increase in wins per se, but just looking like an actual NFL team with competent NFL-level leadership and doing it week in and week out.
  19. Only 2011 Chud though. 2012 Chud drank way too much of his own Kool-Aid. I'd probably take 2011 Chud by a hair over Henning, but I'd be fine with Henning. I feel like Fox often hampered him.
  20. Ironhead Heyward... there's a name I haven't heard in a lonnnng time.
