  1. Lamar signed this jersey and hat for 14 yr. old me after the Panthers/Chiefs preseason game here in 1996, a jersey I bought that summer when visiting a friend in Raleigh. I was the only person he signed anything for in the entire stadium. Pretty cool gesture. The hat was also signed by Sam Mills himself, Greg Skrepenak, and 7th round draft pick holdout Matt Finkes. The glove was game-worn by the receiver we don't speak of and I've just never reopened the frame to remove it.
  2. Exactly. He was fired because the team was actively worse, not because they weren't suddenly winning every game in 2022.
  3. All his chatter about sports science like it was something new, and then the green QB jerseys for practice because 'green means go' were massive red flags. Funny how we never heard anything else about the sport science because, shocker, the NFL was already all over it.
  4. Maybe she asked for/values the public apology. I'm not one for social media but this may be worthwhile to their relationship. That said, it's really none of my business and I won't think twice after closing this thread.
  5. I assume you are not in the KC area, as plenty of people said Clark Hunt was a crappy owner. And Tepper's issue is that he has little good to counterbalance the overwhelmingly bad/unpopular of his tenure with no real sign of that changing. He's earned it thus far.
  6. There was never any Third Year Leap - his teams always continued on whatever track they were on from year 1 to 2, and the biggest gains in wins occurred, between years 1 and 2. This is what's so baffling, if not infuriating, about Rhule - that these totally and easily proven false narrative got so much traction. It's all right there in the open but gets ignored.
  7. Nah, Rhule showed his fatal flaws and warts in 2020. The difference was that he had the benefit of the doubt since it was theoretically possible he'd learn and develop. Instead, we got the abomination that was 2022 and then inexplicably 5 games of 2022 as well.
  8. A bunch of people being stupid and making Rhule a 'hot name' because they're chasing the next McVay doesn't excuse the stupidity. I'm not needling you here, but rather that the fact that anyone was enamored with him and his mediocre college track record at that level was absurd, and Tepper and Hurney getting caught up in it is not to their credit. A big part of it, absolutely. But the patented Rhule Year 3 Leap... lolz.
  9. Owners can be blamed for being gigantic idiots though, and Rhule was such an easy fail to see coming. Tepper absolutely thought he had (somehow) outsmarted the NFL with the Rhule hire and it was straight delusion. Hopefully he actually learned something this time.
  10. I wouldn't' be so down on him if he had shown amount of accountability or self-awareness during his time here. Dude just came across as not thinking he was a big part of the problem, even if he did actually realize that.
  11. Agreed, nothing negative to see here.
  12. Appears to be. I wondered the same and went and checked. https://mobile.twitter.com/lj_era8/with_replies Already making the media rounds: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/lamar-jackson-vulgarly-responds-on-twitter-to-nfl-fan-who-calls-for-ravens-to-let-him-walk-at-end-of-season/
  13. Baltimore shot themselves in the foot with that last sequence right before 2 minutes. Morons.
  14. And maybe I just haven't paid attention before, but I don't recall any other NFL coaches getting fired midseason and then doing the talk circuit. Am I wrong?
  15. Fun to watch? These past 2 years have been brutal, sure, but watching Teddy Ball was/is akin to watching paint dry.
  16. Right, but i'm saying that for as solidly as Denver was thought to be a playoff team it was also solid that Rhule would suck. They sort or cancel out.
