  1. They're not particularly good and they've been doing a lot of blocking. Nothing crazy going on.
  2. And then the Bears trade was a pretty dang good out as well. Double dumbassery.
  3. Exactly. Every QB in the NFL can 'manage a game' to some degree in that regard or they wouldn't be in the league at all, and the ones that prove they can't even do that fall out fast.
  4. Lawrence, where University of Kansas is, has a BYOB strip club called The Outhouse. It can be quite the adventure.
  5. IMO, JAG and game manager are two separate things. JAG implies 100% replaceable talent/performance level while game manager describes how they play the game and the limitations thereof. There are few true games managers in the league at the moment, with guys like Teddy, Tyrod, Alex Smith, and perhaps Purdue falling into that category; that lack of dynamism is generally not accepted at the QB position. There are also plenty of guys that aren't very good but can still push the ball and make plays at times, just not consistently enough to differentiate from the next crop. Those are the JAGs.
  6. Game manager is a term that implies doing only the baseline QB functions without having ability to create plays/dynamically impact the game/elevate the team on their own. Generally considered a negative since the QB is the most important position on he field.
  7. His value is directly related to how much the staff/franchise believes in him as a future QB and how he is currently.impafting the team chemistry. Nothing more, nothing less. What is gone is sunk cost, and the fact that he was the #1 overall is irrelevant given how poorly he has played. If the team sees no future for him then bench or offload him and move on, especially if he has a poor attitude. Bryce has no physical traits above replacement level and the 'processing' is not as advertised, so what's the point?
  8. Whether now or later, Carolina turning all that draft and personnel capital into nothing. It takes a special level of incompetence
  9. Chuba is the best, and perhaps only, real example that comes to mind when looking for a player from recent years who has truly and demonstrably developed during their time in Carolina. There may be others but his year-over-year improvement has been notable each season. Kudos to him for putting in that kind of work.
  10. Totally depends on the people in the locker room IMO and if also backed that up with direct conversations face to face with them. Perhaps that is what motivates whomever he was addressing, we really don't know.
  11. I was very concerned about the Corbett decision and the FO choosing to go into the season without an experienced center at least as a backup, but it's working out well. Credit to them and the staff for seeming to know what they were doing and getting him ready.
  12. Eh, a lot of NFL QBs have done this. Funny moment but hardly a reflection of Bryce alone.
  13. "I love Bryce, but it sure wasn't the whole team now, was it?" Man, I did not foresee this kind of drama for this early in the season, but the cause of it was sorely needed.
  14. What a god-awful 4th down playcall by Atlanta with the game on the line. Need half a yard, so let's run the off-taxkle that KC has been stuffing all night. As an aside, both teams showed the old Pro set tonight. Haven't seen that in like 20 years.
  15. Fully expect that he's not playing this year. He was supposedly ahead of schedule 12 weeks post surgery. Wasted pick with respect to getting a return this year.
  16. Saying that was legitimately one of the dumbest things Tepper has done during his tenure. No small feat. Guess I'll get less mileage from this gif going forward.
  17. And all it took was adding a little bit of ginger.
  18. "As if Dalton could do any better" - Way too many people, 2023 season
  19. While I agree with not dogpiling, dude appears to be quite mentally soft and has seemed to handle this poorly if the 'didn't see this coming' and 'Bryce is pissed' stuff is true. Gonna play games like he played with his weight at the combine to get over drafted, then better be ready for the smoke when you under deliver and to put in the work to improve.
  20. Got away with a little hold there on the left side but yeah, beautiful throw.
