  1. This is exactly who he has always been, a very streaky one-dimensional player who at times can be quite good at that one thing. Some of us just acknowledged that fact sooner than others.
  2. Firing Rivera was the right decision, even in the face of risk that things could get worse with crappy successor selection. Unfortunately, Tepper sucks and has sucked at picking coaches. Same with Richardson.
  3. I'm seeing more throws with zip, but it's concerning to see how hard he appears to have to try in order to do so, the full-body physical 'oomph' required. His arm strength is flat-out subpar at this point in time.
  4. When the bar is as low as it has been for this team, NFL average sure looks great.
  5. 4th and 1 so let's throw to Hurst in the end zone... just turned it on and wtf.
  6. Your claim was absurd, you got called out on it, and now you're backpedaling with a 'probably' equivalent of 'it was just a prank, bro'... take the L and move on. Also, I said here and other places from day 1 that rookie QBs suck and to not expect too much, so your comment is inapplicable to me. Understanding that a rookie can suck does not mean you can't also assess play and say, 'Yup, he sucks so far' if that's what is happening, and it IS what's happening. Like stocks though, past performance of a rookie is no guarantee of future returns, and never have I said that Bryce will suck forever. You can take the L on this point here as well. The drama all around is silly, over-reactive comments like yours on all ends of the spectrum. The reality is that the team is 0-5 and playing and operating at relegation level, Bryce has looked like a lost high school QB most of the season, Reich looks like the middling coach he always was in Indy, and there are still another 12 games to go this season to see if any of that changes. Only time will tell what happens from here.
  7. At what point did I say it made sense to 'bash Bryce'? Calling out poor play is fair and Bryce's objective play has been anywhere from below average to outright suck most of the season, just like much of the team and the staff. It is what it is and you moving goalposts when you get called out for nonsense BS like 'Bryce takes more heat in his limited time here than the previous several QBs combined' doesn't change that, especially when you're in there piling on those guys as well... rather ironic.
  8. I don't have to prove it - I'm not the one making the assertion. That's your responsibility. But playing along, saying he's taken more heat than any of those guys combined is just outright wrong. You either just joined the board 4 months ago or are intentionally ignoring the threads like these that came up after 3 seconds of Googling just Baker on this board: I find this post from that last thread especially interesting.
  9. As much as I can't stand Payton he's stepping into a situation that was pretty bad last year with a QB that has a rep for being less than coachable. Seeing that smug look smacked off of his face makes me happy but he may deserve a bit of a pass this year.
  10. This is an incredibly ridiculous assertion to make, especially because it is so very untrue. Bryce is taking some undue heat due to expectations that were set beyond his control, but the dude has not played well and is getting called on it just like the QBs you listed. Maybe no lt fair but it wasn't particularly fair to any of them.
  11. Oh look, it's Surtain on the field.
  12. Any other owners and their wives going on scouting trips? I'm genuinely curious.
  13. Not like we didn't aleady know this and the 'Appaloosa Model'. Tepper is really the root of the issues here.
  14. There are plenty of people who called out the missteps from the very start, no hindsight needed. The high avoidability of this current mess is what frustrates me.
  15. That was such a no-brainer. I like Burns and he's a goood to very good player but man, that was a Khalil Mack in his heyday-type haul.
  16. I don't think that's true on the whole. There are alwaysfans that think X player is overrated/not worth the money/etc, and they are frequently outspoken. It gets a lot of attention around here because big players are just that - big. I think it's also a symptom of the state of the team sucking for so long. It's like a perpetual rebuild/state of purgatory, and one way to dig out is to maximize and spread the value of the players a team has. Carolina's FO has also happened to suck at it for the past decade.
  17. Which is exactly why I called put that in my comment. It doesn't even make sense, but I guess that's the point, right? Drum up conversation via ridiculousness.
  18. Assuming this is even true, why the hell would Green Bay trade him away?
  19. It's just gallows humor, no need for a psych analysis. The team is pretty terrible at the moment, so folks find the entertainment where they can. In this instance, 0-17 would be tragically-hilarious irony.
