That is one of the least impressive 'flash reels' I've ever seen. What is this guy talking about?

This remains such an absurd assertion to make. Rookie Manning threw for 3700 yards and 26 TDs in the tail end of ground-and-pound, mug the receiver, rookie QB sits for a year or more before playing, 1990s football. He threw picks, sure, but he was very obviously an NFL QB most every week. His rookie season is in no way comparable to recent Carolina rookie seasons on the modern NFL. On topic, that was a hell of a throw. Good for Matt.

Eh, Baker's numbers were really back to where they were his first 3 years in Cleveland, he had the serious shoulder injury in 2021, then dealt with this utter crapshow here in 2022 before immediately looking better with McVay that same season. Maybe Canales had a lot to do with that last year and maybe not, but it's not like Baker reached some new astronomical height.

YGM went to the 49ers.

Should be a good, if not great, upgrade against the run as well. That's nice.

I'm honestly more impressed that they got him to sign before camp.

I get where he's coming from and it sure sounds nice, but refreshing on the mechanics is different than having to tear down such ingrained habits. I bet that Bryce is always working on it and maybe we see a positive change this season.

Maybe, but they were clearly very comfortable with taking Stroud. If there was a gap, it was negligible in their eyes. And it still doesn't excuse the ignoring of the giant points of concern.

Notebook: Dave Canales likes new-look offensive line
KSpan replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh God, the bot is back with the fluffy bullcrap. More threads to avoid. -
The first publicly-smart thing Tepper has done in years. Maybe there's hope after all.

KSpan replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Blech. It will be the same fluff BS as every year. Let the team can show it on the field. -
Just shortens the 1st round by a pick. Carolina's first pick will be a 2nd rounder no matter what.

But won't someone please think of the concerts?!?

Thinking that the team 'won the offseason' last year was pure delusion anyway, and those of us who pointed that out were heavily ridiculed at the time. Unfortunate, but it's clear who was right about that. With that said, I think the coaching/strategic element is just as important or even moreso than the rest of the offseason. Will the staff have the ability to correctly utilize the personnel on the team and adjust/adapt from week to week, with players showing improvement as the season goes on? That is really what I'm looking for as a barometer for success this year.

Original tweet appears to have since been deleted. Probably a smart move on his part... just better to stay out of that stuff in public.

Guess that settles it then.

Point being what? Maybe true but again, I don't think signing a guy like Gallup impacts Mingo. That's my point.
